Robin nodded. "I can fight quite well, I assure you." Even if he felt oddly drained...
"Swordplay, magic... I'm versatile. And... yes. I had no memory yet Chrom and the others took me in. It was only natural."

Blake nodded. "More to gain in the lack of memory and less to harm you in the coming battles and future," she offered. Blake gave a small smile to him. "A former mentor of mine taught me that."

"Indeed. I did learn a bit about my past and it wasn't pleasant. Needless to say, I'm far happier now than I would have been. Can you tell me a bit more about your companions? You mentioned a bit about them before but not in much detail." Robin seemed genuinely curious about Blake's friends. If they were anything like some of the folks he knew... well. It'd be an odd group.

Blake chuckled. "Which one do you want to hear of first?" Blake asked. "Ruby, Weiss, or Yang?"

"Why not in order? Start with Ruby."
Robin smiled slightly. "I'll hold questions 'till you're done explaining."

Blake gave a small sigh. "Ruby Rose, this girl with silver eyes and the leader of the team I am part of. She trained as a scythe user under her uncle. She was moved up 2 years in her training while put her in the same class as Yang, Weiss, and myself," she started. Her ears still twitching around to listen for trouble as she told Robin about the girl. "During initiation into Beacon, Ruby came up with this crazy plan to kill a Giant Nevermore that was giving us problems and was attacking us.... it worked surprisingly well. Every thing went well for a while. She was bright and despite what she had seen- or had done to her- Ruby was a source of happiness and a great friend. I considered her family."

Robin nodded slightly in response to her talking about Ruby. He really didn't understand this stuff about 'Beacon' or what a 'Giant Nevermore' was, but he figured he could get detail on that afterward.
"I see... certainly, I know what it's like having someone like family to you that's a friend. I was the same way with Chrom and his sister, Lissa."

"Though... I will mention I may have maimed a person for causing irreversible damage to her," Blake offered. The cat ears drooped slightly. "Ruby is to me is my pack leader and probably my greatest ally. And yes I am aware I am a cat Faunus but the analogy still stands."

Robin chuckled. "I understand. My wife is... similar, in a way." He smiled a bit more warmly after that. "She's precious to you, I see. She seems like a nice person. What about Weiss?"

"Weiss Schnee. Heiress to the Schnee Dust Company. Though I doubt that even stands here... but she's a little high strung. And still loosening up around those she trusts. Weiss grew up... privileged and expected the world to bow to her outside Atlas," Blake offered with a chuckle. "She was technically the second of our team to meet Ruby. And that meeting was... well explosive. I know there was fire, electricity and maybe ice... caused because Weiss was shaking a badly sealed vial of powdered dust and Ruby inhaled the particles." She chuckled. "First day at Beacon as well."
She took a breath. "Weiss can utilize Dust with her rapier. A few have compared her semblance to that of spell circles. She was trained by a tutor and her elder sister to be quick and exact."

There was a few more terms that Robin didn't understand, but he filed the information away all the same. That description reminded him a lot of Maribelle, really.
"I see... interesting. I know I said I'd hold my questions, but this Dust... it sounds something similar to the magic I practice. Is that right?"

"It's more like a component to the spell," Blake offered. Mentally she was thankful that Sun and Neptune had dragged her into that table top game- the name escaped her at the moment. "See to activate Dust you have to use your aura, which is a projection of your very soul."
"Dust in an of itself can be used as an energy source, weapon, and ammunition," she added. "There are four basic types corresponding to the four basic elements of fire, water, earth, and wind or air."

"Oh, I see..." That sort of made sense to him. "Thank you for clarifying. So, rounding things out... who is this 'Yang' person?"

"Yang Xiao Long," Blake offered with a fond smile. "My partner in arms and closest ally. The one that stopped me from pushing myself towards self destruction. Yang is probably the only woman I know who is suicidal enough to punch Grimm and jump into the open beak of a Giant Nevermore before firing several bullets down it's throat."
"Yang's abilities lie in her skill as a hand to hand combatant and in her semblance that allows her to absorb blows and dish the damage back with some explosive results. She literally will catch fire and pray to your deity of choice you aren't on the recieving end of the blow," Blake added as they walked.

'Pick a god and pray!'
Boy did that bring back memories... Frederick still said that from time to time.
"...Sounds... scary. I'll take your word for it. She seems like an interesting individual. I get the feeling that you four have quite the story..." Robin noticed that the area they were walking through was starting to change...
"...By the gods, what is that?" He tilted his head slightly, seeing the skyscrapers of the city far out on the horizon.
