"Yeah, I... guess there is that..." Toby murmured with a shrug. Hard as it was for him to do in any situation, he did his best to look on the bright side. Said bright side being that he and Chrys evidently had each other's powers. God forbid if his powers went to a total stranger or vice versa.

"And bonus. Shadae form has shadow magic," Chrys offered. "Though I wouldn't recommend it for first form off the bat... it tends to go haywire..."
Mentally she was grateful that Toby had gotten her powers and not someone else.

"Shadow magic, huh...?" Toby pondered this for a moment, wondering just how different that could be from his usual umbrakinesis. "I-I guess I could live with that... But, uh... Are you gonna be alright? I mean... with my powers...?"

Chrys looked back and gulped. Her shadow quit what it was doing. She had a deep blush on her face. "Yours didn't do that," she recalled as they continued towards the gates.

God dang it... It was bad enough when I had that curse. How can she be so cool about it?! Toby had a borderline panicked look on his face, albeit for a slightly different reason than before. Just stay positive. Encourage her. Don't be weird, don't be weird, don't be weird...

Chrys couldn't help but chuckle at Toby's reaction. "So are we staying at your place or mine then?" She joked. Sure on the inside she was panicing but this way she got to spend more time Toby. So it was a win in her book.

W-Wait, is she serious?? It was kind of hard to tell. Sure, they would need to stick together so they could keep an eye out and adjust to each other's powers. Did they really need to spend every single moment of every day together? Granted, he... wasn't exactly opposed to that. He wouldn't complain. He just wasn't sure if it was necessary. Whatever the case was, he had to play it cool. Calm down and plan a logical course of action. Just play it cool...

The response got her to laugh. An honest laugh as the wispy hearts faded from her shadow. "I will warn you my place is a bit of a mess," she offered. "Also... do you have a motorcycle or driver's license?"
The fear was being eaten away by joy. For once in her life, Chrys felt oddly comfortable but at the same time the tugging was still there and it wasn't actually bothering her as much.

"Nnnnno, I have neither of those..." Toby awkwardly admitted. He had never found the opportunity for driving practice back home, and motorcycles made him somewhat nervous. "N-No big deal, though. I can shadow hoooooo no, wait, I can't do that anymore..."
