I AM THE FORGOTTEN DRAGON, THE BETRAYED KING, THE ENTOMBED GOD.
IN THE NAME OF THE KING OF VALLA, I SENTENCE YOU TO DEATH.
Those were the words that echoed in Corrinne's mind at the moment as she fell through the portal. A red-clad figure had shoved her and her brother out of the way of a fireball... Scarlet...
With a groan of pain, Corrinne landed in a patch of grass and soil, sending some dust flying upon impact. She grunted, pulling herself to her feet before checking herself for any major injuries. Patting herself down, she didn't seem to sustain any. Her Dragonstone, Yato, and Thunder tome were all intact too...
She looked around for her twin brother. Okay good, she sighed in relief. He seemed to be checking himself for injuries as she was, before making sure his equipment was intact as well.
The white-haired woman looked around... And found that they were in a graveyard at night. Her hand instinctively gripped the Yato blade...
"Corrin..." She stated, eyes going wide. "I don't think we're in Valla anymore... Urk!!"
She felt a jolt of pain in her chest, clutching the area with her free hand.

Corrin groaned, slowly trying to stand up. "Yeah... this... this doesn't seem anything like Valla... ghh!" Coughing, the white-haired man forced himself to his feet. "...Gods, where are we?"
He held Yato in his hand, looking around. Dragonstone? Check. Sun Festal? Check. Everything else was in order, but...
"...Did you hear something?" Maybe it had just been his imagination, but...
He could have sworn he heard movement nearby. And in a graveyard, that was never a good sign.

"We should have dissolved into water... But we're intact..."
Corrinne's ears twitched slightly, trying to pick up anything...
"is it me, or does it seem too quiet?" She asked, bringing Yato into a defensive stance. She gripped her Dragonstone in her free hand, ready to transform if needed. "There should be bugs... Animals... Anything..."
But there was nothing but an eerie silence... And a strange distortion...
Oh, crap...
"Get ready to fight," She stated. "There's Vallite- gah!- troops nearby."

"...And it's just us. Great..." Corrin grit his teeth, taking his stance with Yato in hand, seeing the purple-clad soldiers starting to move in on them.
"So how shall we do this? Shall I take the lead, sister?"

"You lead, brother," Corrinne replied with a nod. "But if you see a mage, fall back and I'll deal with them." She remembered how badly he took magical attacks compared to her.

"I'm ready when you are. Just give the word and I'll start hacking," Corrinne said, taking up a stance next to Corrin.
As if on cue, a purple-smoked figure with what appeared to be a steel katana lunged forward, the opening scout... A simple Samurai.
"Go!"

Corrin grit his teeth as the Samurai moved in, jumping back and avoiding his shot.
"Here we go!" Jumping into the air, Corrin slashed the Samurai with his blade, heavily weakening him. As he fought, he glanced around to get a good read on the situation...
Mages were coming. Dark Mages and Diviners... They were still a little further away, though. A pair of Fighters were moving in behind the Samurai.
"They're really not holding back... it's like they were expecting us... though their movement isn't organized. I don't think they expected us to arrive wherever here is..."

"I'm surprised, I would have thought they'd be more prepared... But you're right," Corrinne added, preparing her own attack. "They don't know just where this cemetery is either." She was now within slicing distance of the Samurai...
"But no matter. We'll just fight our way through them, just like before..." With that, Corrinne delivered the fatal hit to the enemy swordfighter, its body flickering a bit before fading...
Diviners and Dark Mages... I need to get them before they get Corrin... But that won't be an issue for a bit...
She turned her attention to the Fighter closer to her, smirking slightly...
Dragon Fang
"You won't stop me!"
Her head shifted into that of her dragon form's, her free arm morphing into a lance, before lunging forward and stabbing the axe fighter, then morphing the grotesque limb into a fanged mouth, firing an orb of water afterwards...
Reverting back to normal, Corrinne prepared to back up Corrin for his attack. "That went well," She said, looking for her enemy's fallen body...
Only to find that the Fighter was still standing. Oh, crap...

And he was going swinging. Fortunately, Corrin moved back into position, the axe cleaving him. He knew as well as she that he was better at taking physical attacks. However, Corrin was hit quite a bit harder than he expected, coughing up a bit of blood. "Nngh! Haah... how strong..." He still clutched Yato in his right hand, gripping his chest where he'd been cut.
Why did he feel so weak...?
"Something's... not right..." Quickly, he moved, finishing off the Fighter with a well-placed thrust, eyeing over the other oncoming fighter, as well as the mages. "...This isn't good. We... I think we need to flee this place, sister."

"You mean... run?" Corrinne questioned. "Normally I'd say-"
FWOOSH!
A yellow spectre resembling a tiger rammed Corrinne, knocking her down. Corrin knew was well as well as she did that she was better at taking magical attacks than he was... So why...
Why do I feel so weak...?
Groaning, Corrinne forced herself to her feet, putting away Yato and drawing her Thunder tome. "If they want to play, they can play with this..."
She mumbled the incantation for the spell, not really noticing a lack of sigils around her person...
What DID catch her attention was the fact that absolutely nothing happened.
"Something's wrong," she stated, white-knuckling the now-useless tome. "Something is very wrong."

Corrin had grabbed his Festal, attempting to patch up the injury that Corrinne took from the Tiger Spirit... and nothing happened.
"Oh no. I... my Festal won't do anything..."
He glanced around, gritting his teeth; he transformed into his dragon form, clawing the fighter near them down.
"We've got to get out of here!" Roaring, Corrin looked around the area. "D...Damn it. I can't see a good path behind us... the only way is through all these Vallites... Ghhk!"
That pain in his chest was definitely not helping his axe wound, either.

"I was afraid you we're going to say that...!!" Corrinne yelped, knocking the remaining Fighter a step back with the Thunder tome, before letting the powerless book fall to the ground. "Let's try not to take too many hits, shall we??"
Her voice had a frantic edge. The remaining Fighter raised its axe, and a Diviner- I'll make you hurt tenfold- nearby... And it looks like a Dark Mage was closing in. Corrinne raised Yato, attempting to parry the axe. "Get the Fighter! I'll handle the Diviner!"
She broke the parry, slipping away from the axe blade, steathing Yato and pulling out her Dragonstone.
Another dragon appeared, identical to the other, making a charge for the Diviner...
But Corrinne's larger frame was just about able to avoid a green serpent...
"This is very bad..." she said, even as she jumped and smashed into the Diviner with her tail.

"Gh! Right! I won't surrender!"
Lashing his tail out, Corrin killed the fighter, before holding his ground, seeing the Dark Mage closing in.
Shifting back, he drew Yato, warily eyeing him... and just barely managing to evade a bolt of lightning. "Gah! Damn it!"
In response, he moved in, slashing his blade at the mage. "This isn't good... this isn't good..."

The physical dragon evaded another spectral one, Corrinne trying to get as much distance between herself and the Dragon Spirit as she could. Those things... She knew full well those weapons were their bane...
"Need a hand?" she asked, taking up the best battle stance she could, sending a glance behind her. In response, a third green serpent was barely evaded. At least this one has bad aim...
She lashed out with her front claws at the dark mage, following up Corrin's attack.
And there was still more coming...
"Look lively. They've got friends... We're... Er, hopefully not screwed..."

"They..."
There were Swordmasters. And Onmyoji. And they had... Wyrmslayers. Dragon Spirits.
"...Oh no..." Corrin grit his teeth, yelling as lightning struck him from his distraction, cutting down the Dark Mage responsible.
"We're... we're outmatched. Damn it... we were so close..."
Corrin stared down the group, groaning weakly.
'So... this is the end, huh...? I'm sorry... Azura... and... you too...'
Corrin saw the group closing in, already prepared to die...
"THORON!"
"H-Huh?!" Corrin snapped his eyes open, just in time to see a powerful beam of lightning tear through a group of the Swordmasters, felling them. "Who-"
A man with sandy-blond, almost white hair walked up, closing the tome he had used, a few sparks crackling from his fingertips. The manakete had never seen an outfit like his, though...
Stepping in front of the twins, Robin brandished his Levin Sword, before turning his head slightly. "Are you two all right?"

Well... I suppose I had a nice life... I'm sorry, Azura... everyone... Corrinne thought, lowering her head and waiting to die...
That was when she heard the unfamiliar voice as she raised her head, seeing a stream of lightning fell the Swordmasters. She took a second to take in this stranger's odd garments, before deciding to revert back to human form. Clearly he wasn't with the Vallites...
She gave a barely audible groan as she noted the still-living Onmyojis. "We... Well, now that you've saved us, we're fi-"
Aaaaaand that was the fourth missed Dragon Spirit attack. That one really needed to work on its aim, not that Corrinne was complaining...
"We're... well, in slightly less danger now that you've saved us..."
She kept a very firm grip on Yato throughout.
