Two Beths. Two. Plural Beths. On the same island. Unaware of each other.
Holy hell. Either he's gonna have a blast on Nexus Island, or his life will be hell. Either way, it's obvious they need someone like him - direly. And, well, he's there to serve.
He found Lillianasprite to let her know where he was going and when, just to be on the safe side. One of his best friends is omniscient, and she sometimes overlooks things, too - anything with a heart has faults, and anything without one is incomplete. Not HIS mantra, but someone's, maybe. Regardless, Lilliana knows where he's going, why, and that YES, she can tail him. And yes, he knew she was gonna tail him. Yes, he's mildly offended. No, he doesn't hold it against her. He'd tail him, too.
Yes, he knew she didn't ask any questions at all, and likely did not intend to.
Anyway. Here he is, wandering 'idly' into a shop (Beth 2's shop) with his hands in his duster pockets - the duster he's wearing despite it being a relatively warm day, for early winter. It's cool. It's chill. He's not overheating, he can prevent himself from overheating, and often does simply for ~aesthetics~.

Colors would meet Captor's eyes. Mostly due to how she had set up the shop. Stuff for effect make ups and colors lined one wall and assorted props lined the one directly across from it. Behind the counter, that the woman was working on, was a large glass case displaying several painted and prepped full body appliances and the costumes that went with them. In front of her were assorted clothing pieces and outfits that she had made. Each of the clothing and prop items had a label reading 'Snider Theatrics'.
She looked up to the main window of her shop. Painted in her somewhat best reverse hand writing was 'Dreams To Dust' in a pale lilac paint. And the paperwork was a still a butt to deal with.... the woman though as she stood up and stretched.
The second Beth gave a warm smile. "Welcome to Dreams To Dust. How may I be of service?" She offered with a smile as she heard a bell ring.
It looked like she was working on a prop or doing maintenance on what looked to be a revolver mixed with a rapier.

Cap meets the smile with his own, not quite warm but friendly. What one might expect from a customer. "Yes! I'm looking to - oh, sweet rapier there. Er, I'm looking to put together a costume for a private party with a sort of, apocalyptic masquerade theme? Glamor and rags, warlocks and bandits, the like. Any chance you could..." He makes a bit of a circular gesture, leaning a bit with inquisition. "Give me some tips, show me a few pieces that might work for that? I'd appreciate it a LOT."

The shop keep gave a smile. "Nuclear fall out, steam punk, mystic deterioration, meteor destruction?" She asked. "Give me a time period and I can work some magic. And thanks. Made this blade myself."
Beth smiled as she watched this new customer. Her hands brought the hilt back together as she slipped in a new vial of what looked like orange glitter.

His brows shoot up. "Whooa. Seriously? How does one even go about - wow. That's just amazing." He stares at the rapier for a minute, head tilting with awe. Then, he blinks.
"Oh, uh, anyway. I think it's an implied mystic deterioration? Yeah, gods abandoned the mortal realm, yeah. I'd say lean towards Elizabethan-Victorian."

"You know Ruby Rose had a similar look on her face when she saw it out in the window. Weiss was slightly annoyed when I owned up to it being from my personal collection," Beth offered as she put the blade up on a shelf. A label underneath read "Myrtenaster- Multi-Action Dust Rapier wield by Weiss Schnee as seen on RWBY. DO NOT TOUCH! NOT FOR SALE!"
Her attention returned to Captor. "So Elizabethan to Victorian. I do have Renaissance thinks that could be nodded with Steampunk touches from the Victorian Era," she offered.

He tilts his head with a brow up, lips pursing. "Hmm... walk me through your costuming process, maybe? I'd like to know for sure what I'm getting myself into."

"First off, what colors do you not like wearing and what colors do you like to wear?" She offered.

"It kinda varies. Generally dulls, never anything on the blue side between sea green and red. But how do you get to a finished product from there?" He taps his foot and glances about, clear signs of customer impatience. She'd best give him what he's asking for.

Beth sighed. "Do want this to be unique to you and you alone?" Beth answered as she noted his answers. "I can guarantee that no one else will have the same as you. I was asking so I would now what colors to avoid using for you."
Okay. I swear if this guy gets short I am not going to pull Eliminator out, she mentally noted. It seemed she had already been having a bad day prior to Captor's arrival.
"I ask these seemingly pointless questions to get to know the customer. Get measurements or sizes, learn preferences, and then either make a custom costume or help them gather the pieces in the shop," Beth offered after taking a breath. "I'm sorry for being short with you sir. My mind has been elsewhere for the last few days."

A beat. And he nods. looking away for a second, then back to Beth. "No, no, I appreciate it. I'm sorry for being so finicky. The fault is mine." There's a note of sheepishness in his tone, though a muted one. He seems to have reprimanded himself for his assertiveness.

Beth took a small breath for a beat. "So... Who's throwing this party?" The question seemed innocent enough but this was Beth trying to get a read on the man in front of her. Something seemed off about him.
"I'm also willing to hear out your questions," she offered calmly.

"A friend of mine. Leadorah Aberita - pretty new to the island, thought she'd celebrate a new world. The theme is sort of her personal aesthetic." He gives a bit of a chuckle. "It's how she rolls."
"I do have another question - going back to that incredible rapier, the quality of what you make is truly impressive. What got you into this?"

"It is a working model and I have used it in a few scraps. But into costuming, my mother. She got me into the arts in general," Beth answered with a half truth. "Trust me when I say I've seen thing you probably wouldn't understand..."

He... stares at her for a second. Then, softly, nods. "Gotcha.
"Let's get started on the costume."
