Robin sighed softly. "...I don't mean you any harm." He looked right at Kaze. "I can't blame Corrinne for being suspicious of me, but I assure you, I want to help. My world's already been through a disaster similar to what it sounds like yours is."
He opened his arms outward. "I'm sure it's hard to believe, though."

Kaze froze up, sharply inhaling. "How did- Nevermind that..."
The ninja looked down at the ground. "It... It's true. Lady Corrinne is naturally more suspicious of others than Lord Corrin. It... It will take time for her to trust you."

Robin laughed softly. "Chrom's retainer, Frederick, was the same way. ...Granted, the same way towards everyone. They call him 'Frederick the Wary' with good reason, but I recognize the signs, and I'm not surprised. In a situation like yours I'd say you have even more right to be distrustful."
He offered the ninja a hand. "It doesn't bother me, though. I'll simply have to earn your trust. I hope my tactical ability will go a ways towards that end."

"I can't say I'm completely trusting myself." It's part of being a ninja...
Kaze stared at Robin's outstretched hand. "I can't fully trust you myself. If I allowed harm to befall Lady Corrinne, Lord Corrin, or anyone, I couldn't forgive myself. However..."
The ninja slowly reached for Robin's hand... "I will give you a chance."

Robin smiled as his hand was taken. "A chance is all I ask for. I proved myself to the Shepherds in Ylisse, I can do it again here. I wasn't able to find anything really valuable with the tomes; if they had some different effects before, they don't now. All that really remained was that toxic Shuriken."

"A toxic shuriken, huh? Hmm... Mind if I have a look?"
As Robin handed the throwing star in question to Kaze, his training let him pinpoint something... "This is a common Iron Shuriken, coated in poison. As I mentioned, a shuriken makes the perfect vessel for delivering a toxin... Although coating it entirely like this reduces its own power and accuracy."
A scroll, curiously unchanged, lay just a short distance from the pair...

"Interesting..." Robin put a hand to his chin. "I'll keep that in mind; that could be useful knowledge." He looked over the scroll he saw. "What's... this...?" He yawned, closing his eyes a moment. "Goodness. I didn't think it was that late..."

"I just... took a nap..." Kaze said, suddenly unsteady on his feet. The Nocturne scroll, while neither man was looking, shifted and morphed into something else...
Kaze grabbed his head by either side and shook it, his legs becoming steady again. "... That... was strange..."

Robin frowned, picking up the scroll. "...How odd. I think it'd be ideal to take this back with us to investigate further. This one seems like the others; it doesn't seem to have any other power anymore..."
How odd indeed. He'd have some serious notes to take later.
