Yang coughed several times and even gagged a few. "Rainflower.... Why are you even in my boyfriend's lungs? That's kinda pushing the boundaries..."

One particularly forceful cough expelled the gaseous cloud from Alex's throat like air out of a high pressure pump. As soon as the mist hit the ground, it instantly reformed into a full-sized Rainflower, who tumbled across the cavern floor until they crashed into a wall. Sprawled out upside-down, legs propped up against the wall, Rainflower lay in a dizzy heap for a moment. Then, thoroughly amused, they clicked their tongue and murmured, "Noice."As if that voyage through Alex's respiratory system hadn't even happened, Rainflower rolled over, sat up and cheerfully continued, "But yeah! I was just curious since I find the topic of void manipulation so..." They smirked at one of their bandaged hands. "...mesmerizing." Rainflower the sprung to their feet, scurried up to their fire pit and sat back down. "Just one more question, if you don't mind~!" |

"HOPEFULLY ONE THAT DOESN'T INVOLVE GOING BACK DOWN MY RESPIRATORY TRACK?" Rainflower had been about to state that she wouldn't, but Alex interrupted quickly. "OR YOU GOING INTO MY BODY AGAIN IN ANY CONCEIVABLE FASHION IN THE FUTURE. SERIOUSLY WHY."

"Awwwwwwww, c'mon, I was just messing!" Rainflower laughed, waving him off. "Didn't mean no harm! Won't do it again!"
They smirked at the screen. "Gotta keep these people on their toes, y'know."
Turning back to the duo, Rainflower perked back up and asked, "I just wanted your opinion. It's been so long since my little aflutterfly buddies had a day out. They get bored being cooped up in the nest, so I like to give them some leeway every now and then. Do you think they've had their fill today? I just wanna know that they've had fun before they come home!"

Alex considered this a moment... "Well... They WERE running roughshod over the entire town last I saw them...." He considered this a moment... Before snapping his fingers. "One moment I know who to ask."
With a wave of his hand a holokeyboard appeared and Alex pulled up Pesterchum. It took him a moment to look through the contacts, but he eventually pulled up one contact in particular...

GG: FIRSTLY, BECAUSE IF ANYONE WOULD HAVE DONE SOMETHING STUPID ENOUGH THAT WOULD HAVE SET THE TOWN ON FIRE IT WOULD'VE BEEN YOU AND THAT RAGING BLONDIE GIRLFRIEND OF YOURS.

"PFFFFFFFFT HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...!!!" Rainflower leaned on the cauldron, head in their hand as they once again spiraled into hysterics. "OHHHHHHHH, goodness me...! Those silly-willies ALWAYS gotta cause a riot, don't they?! HA! Whatcha gonna do?"
A few more chuckles later, Rainflower relaxed slightly and smiled at Alex. "Yeah, probably oughta call it a day! If the ruckus up there is as jumping as you say it is, they've gotta have twenty pounds of excitement in a five pound bag by now!"
Leaning over the cauldron slightly, Rainflower's grin took on a... sweeter look. Not dementedly so, but surprisingly gentle. "Just saying, I really appreciate you guys lending a hand. Those fellas would lose their way in a cardboard box without me, and I can't be watching after them twenty four/seven! Pretty sure this mixture would turn noxious if I took off right this minute while it's still boiling hot! Haha... So much obliged, ya cuties!"

"Well to be fair Yang, it sounds like Erin is having a really bad day-" Rainflower's laughing did not help matters either, Alex's eye twitching slightly at the fairy's clear enjoyment over what would likely be a fix that would take a month to rebuild if not more...
Still.... That surprisingly sweet moment there at the end somewhat caught his attention.... The way she talked, you'd almost swear she was talking about a bunch of misbehaved misfit children she was looking after as opposed to the little hell-spawn currently turning the city inside out... How literal that was however, Alex didn't even WANT to consider. "Hmmm... I see..." He nods. "Well, thanks for all of your help Rainflower. AT least with everything we have now, we can keep these little guys from spreading anywhere outside of this world and into others."
Ah yes, that reminded him, it was time to start focusing on THAT particular catastrophe.
"Yang, we should go and find Evan, Cat and Rio. Every second we waste is another second these things might be figuring out how to spread further outward..." He takes her hand. "We should hurry."
[Apparently Swift has one last surprise for us, sooo....]
He opens up a portal, intent on leaving with that said, Yang, her weapons and Cat's clothes in tow.

Rainflower's dramatic increase in volume shook up the atmosphere... not to mention the local fauna, judging by the distant screeches echoing through the caverns.
When Alex and Yang turned back around, they found an awkward-looking Rainflower stammering, twitching and tugging at their clothes and straw blond hair, as if internally wrestling with themself about what they were going to do next. "Um- I, uh- Nnngh... I j- Er- Ehhh... MmmmOKAY! I wanna give you something! Hold tight!"
If their guests happened to make any verbal refusals, they fell on deaf ears as Rainflower zipped up to their cabinets and started rooting around inside. "I just... I've been holding onto this, waiting for a special occasion and... wellllllll... I want you to have it! 'Cause I like ya!"
When they popped back out, they were holding a small cloth sack with something roughly the size of a softball inside. They flew up to the duo, practically shaking as they handed the sack to Alex. "Here! My treat! Now go on, get a move on, you two!" Rainflower insisted, gesturing towards the portal without a second thought.

.... Well THAT had been an interesting first meeting....
Honestly Alex hoped he wouldn't have another one with Rainflower. While she had been surprisingly sweet, she had still been.... AMAZINGLY unpredictable....
