Full Name: Dallas Taylor
Nickname(s): Misceo's Angel, Bird Boy
Age: 19
Height: A little over 3 ft.
Weight: 18 lbs.
Gender: Male
Race: Wandering albatross (formerly human)
Alliance: Neutral (forced to be good)
Home: Misceo Ocean
Franchise: OC
Physical Description
Dallas largely resembles an ordinary wandering albatross. He's a large seabird with white plumage, scattered black feathers on his wings and tail, faint peach-colored spots on the sides of his head, black eyes, a hooked, pale pink beak, webbed, pale pink feet, and a whopping eleven-foot wingspan. Oddly enough, despite his anatomy, he's still quite capable of displaying a wide range of human facial expressions.
Weapons and Accessories
None.
Abilities/Powers
Along with the typical abilities his avian form grants him (i.e. flight, enhanced vision, swimming), Dallas's only noteworthy attribute is that he has retained his human speech capabilities.
Weaknesses
If he loses his temper, he loses his ability to speak and can only communicate in bird sounds until he calms down.
Skills
The one thing Dallas is particularly proficient at is knot tying. He can't really do it himself anymore (because you kinda need hands for that), but he at least knows how to tie a multitude of complex knots. In recent days, he's also developed some much-needed navigation skills.
Personality
Dallas is the kind of guy that most people would never expect to have any success in life. He's never had any interest in learning new skills, contributing to anything, or generally bettering himself. He has no direction, no motivation, and no idea what to do with himself... or at least he didn't before he got cursed. Ever since then, he's at least made an attempt to improve, if only to fulfil his sentence and be turned back to normal. Regardless, Dallas is still very short-tempered, grouchy and generally apathetic, but when something really gets through to him, he's proven that he's fully capable of kindness, compassion, and even good humor, albeit in an often begrudging manner.
History
Dallas is native to the island, born and raised in Void City. Growing up, he was highly unpopular and uninterested in just about everything. Following his high school graduation, sick of being told to make something of himself, he ventured out into the world to forge his own path. After much time spent wandering aimlessly, Dallas eventually wound up working as a cabin boy on a fishing vessel.
During one of their voyages, the ship wound up lost in the northern regions of Misceo Ocean; rations were low, the air foggy, the waters were riddled with icebergs, and they were at risk of drifting into the void. They were able to navigate to safety by following an albatross, but once the ship was back on course, Dallas shot the albatross down for food. That night, Dallas was visited by the spirit of a human sailor who had also killed an albatross and, as punishment, been turned into the very bird that Dallas shot. Likewise, the spirit transferred his curse to Dallas, turning him into an albatross.
Now, in order to become human again, Dallas must travel the ocean and perform a total of fourteen good deeds for those lost at sea; ten for himself, four for the sailor he had killed so his duty could be fulfilled and his spirit put to rest. Thus far he has completed... one. But hey, it's a start.
Other
He's made somewhat of a home for himself at Pelican Bay Boardwalk, mostly so he can scavenge for food; it's taking him a while to get accustomed to an albatross's natural diet.
