Full Name: Alfred Matthew Yankovic
Nickname(s): Al, Weird Al
Age: 57
Height: Average
Weight: Average
Gender: Male
Race: Superhuman
Alliance: Good
Home: California, USA
Franchise: Fictionalized character based on a real person
Physical Description
Fittingly enough, Al has kind of a weird appearance; to be fair, though, he looks pretty good for his age. He has long, curly, dark brown hair, light skin, and wide, brown eyes. He'll occasionally grow his facial hair out, but generally speaking, he's pretty clean shaven. His favorite things to wear are Hawaiian shirts, jeans and tennis shoes.
Weapons and Accessories
While he's not against picking up whatever's nearby, the only weapons Al needs are his mind and his musical instruments, namely his accordion.
Abilities/Powers
Al possesses a superhuman intellect, the highest of any human in his universe. His intelligence grants him a photographic memory of absolutely everything he's ever thought, felt, encountered or experienced, an advanced comprehension of causality and probability, encyclopedic knowledge, parallel processing, intuitive aptitude, and hypercognition.
Weaknesses
His abilities don't really lend themselves to any sort of attack or otherwise offensive/defensive situation, excluding indirect ramifications. As such, he's not really a fighter, nor does he have much desire to be one.
Skills
Given his intellect, it's fair to say that Al is a master of strategy, deduction and any form of support one needs. His intuitive aptitude allows him to pick up new skills instantly and retain them for the rest of his life, so it's hard to say just how many minute things he's capable of. Just to name a few, he knows first aid, forensics and the locations of various pressure points, can operate and repair complex machinery, is well rounded in architecture, and is a notorious grammar nut.
Of course, what Weird Al is most famous for is his music, for which he has won multiple Grammy Awards. He's a master accordion, piano and theremin player, has incredible vocal range and rapping capabilities, and is an accomplished songwriter, parodist and comedian.
Personality
In spite of his superior intellect, Al is surprisingly down-to-earth and friendly. He doesn't believe himself to be better than anyone simply due to his powers and is more than happy just doing what he loves. He's obviously a pretty funny guy, with a sense of humor that ranges from dry and deadpan to wacky and over-the-top, but he knows when to be serious and when to use his comedy appropriately. Of course, when he's immersed in his thoughts, he does tend to space out, but when something's going down, he'll put his all into it no matter what. Al's just a good guy and great ally to have around.
History
Al grew up as an only child in Lynwood, California. He started learning how to play the accordion when he turned six, sparking his passion for music. From a young age, his superhuman intellect showed, as he was able to start kindergarten a year early, skip second grade, and graduate valedictorian at the age of sixteen. He went on to attend California Polytechnic State University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in architecture. While there, he became a DJ for the university's radio station, using his nickname "Weird Al" as his persona.
During his senior year, he recorded "My Bologna," a parody of The Knack's "My Sharona," and sent it to syndicated comedy radio personality Dr. Demento. The song was eventually released as a single and earned Al a recording contract, prompting him to fully pursue a career in comedy music. Over time, he acquired a manager and a band, achieving moderate success at first, but his career truly gained momentum when he released his first Michael Jackson parody, "Eat It." Weird Al has since remained a staple of music and comedy, releasing fourteen albums, a movie, and a slew of parodies, singles and music videos, as well as performing in innumerable venues worldwide and acting in a number of comedy films, sketches and animated TV shows.
In 2001, Al married Suzanne Krajewski; their daughter Nina was born two years later. In 2004, his parents were found dead in their home from accidental carbon monoxide poisoning. In the past, he has been approached by people from PHASE, a global organization that monitors and partners with supernatural beings, who sought to utilize his intelligence, and though he has lent them a hand several times, he has turned down the opportunity to become a full-time member for the sake of his calling. While some may question why he makes goofy songs instead of putting his superhuman intellect to more prominent use, he chooses to live by the key to success that his father taught him, "doing for a living whatever makes you happy."
Other
Al is a vegan, identifies as a Christian, and maintains an abstinence from alcohol, tobacco, drugs, and profanity.
Obviously, this Weird Al is a fictionalized iteration of the real guy. Their histories are largely identical (yes, even the part about him skipping second grade and all that), with the only major difference being the inclusion of his superhuman intelligence and his interaction with PHASE.
