Nickname(s): N/A
Age: 24
Height: ? (QUITE tall, especially for a woman)
Weight: ? (On the heavy side due to muscle)
Gender: Female
Race: Human (with dragon ancestry)
Alliance: Family
Home: Nohr
Franchise: Fire Emblem (Fates)
Physical Description
Camilla is a tall woman with pale skin, wavy waist-length lavender hair, and purple eyes. Her left eye is kept obscured by her bangs, and she has a rather curvy figure with muscle. Her outfit is… a bit unusual, so the picture is a better reference.
Weapons and Accessories
Upon her arrival, Camilla has a Steel Axe and a Bolt Axe from her home world. The Steel Axe is moderately powerful and reasonably accurate, although its weight slightly impedes her ability to rapidly strike and evade attacks. The Bolt Axe is a powerful magic-based weapon that can strike at both up close and a short distance away, although the concentration required in wielding it prevents her from triggering offensive skills or scoring critical hits, and it makes her less evasive.
Abilities/Powers
As a descendent of the Dusk Dragon, Camilla can tap into areas of power known as Dragon Veins to manipulate the environment on various ways, although this power is much weaker outside her home world.
Camilla used to be able to cast magic from tomes and scrolls thanks to her Revenant Knight class, although in the transition to the island, she has lost this ability and would need a Master Seal to regain this power.
Her personal skill, Rose’s Thorns, is a testament to her beauty as well as her power. Its effect is: “Grants adjacent allies +3 to damage dealt and -1 to damage taken.” Camilla’s presence inspires her allies to fight more, allowing them to inflict more damage and shrug off some damage they would normally take.
Strength +2 is much simpler. Camilla’s physical attacks hit a bit harder than they normally would.
Lunge, her next skill, works as follows: “Grants use of the Lunge command. After attacking, switches position with the target.” Camilla can alter the force behind her blows to knock them in her direction, essentially swapping places with them.
Her last skill, Heartseeker, is one Camilla does not remember learning. Its effect is: “Adjacent enemies suffer -20 Avoid.” Her presence fills her enemies with dread, causing them to become stiffer from fear, and is a good offset to the low accuracy of her preferred axes.
Weaknesses
While riding her wyvern Marzia, Camilla is very weak to arrows, wind magic, and dragon-killing weaponry such as Wyrmslayers and Dragon Spirits. Otherwise, she doesn’t have anything in particular.
Skills
Camilla knows how to sew, a skill taught to many Nohrian ladies. She is also a merciless and deadly fighter in tandem with Marzia, having been trained in the use of axes and clubs, though she prefers axes. She also can cast some magic even in her weakened state upon arrival, although upon arrival, it’s limited mostly to utility purposes.
She is also a great cook, with the results usually being described as Passionate.
Personality
Camilla’s most obvious trait is her strong maternal side, particularly in regards to Corrin and Corrinne, although this can often come off as excessive to the point of uncomfortable. She is a very family-oriented person, and values her relationships with those she regards as her family.
Around other individuals, she is a mature and elegant figure, who never openly snaps. She speaks in a manner that befits a member of the royal family.
Camilla is disturbingly ruthless and rather bloodthirsty on the battlefield, deriving joy from striking down her enemies, not helped at all by her maintaining a serene disposition. Killing comes easily to her, and she would kill without hesitation to protect her loved ones.
History
Camilla is the second-oldest child of King Garon of Nohr, her mother being one of his many concubines. Camilla herself was born strictly to help her mother garner favour with Garon; to fill the void left in the wake of neglect by her own mother, Camilla decided she would act as a maternal figure to her younger siblings… The one that survived, at least.
During the Concubine Wars, a young Camilla was forced to kill several of her half-siblings or risk being killed herself. While this was going on, Garon returned with a white-haired child after a ‘diplomatic meeting’ with King Sumeragi of Hoshido. Camilla became very attached to this child, becoming a mother figure to the new arrival.
Sometime after the Concubine Wars, Camilla was the target of an assassin. When the assassin, Beruka, approached her, Camilla hired the girl on the spot, eventually becoming her retainer. Later, Camilla met a young mercenary girl, Selena, and was impressed by her combat skills, afterwards appointing Selena as her second retainer.
After the child Garon arrived came of age and defeated Xander in single combat, they were allowed to leave the Northern Fortress. When what was to be a simple scouting mission at the Bottomless Canyon soured, Camilla arrived with her siblings, killing three Hoshidans that had arrived as backup.
Camilla would next meet up with the white-haired sibling on the Plains of Hoshido at the start of a Nohrian invasion of Hoshido… And a Branch of Fate.
She was surprised that her brother, Corrin, sided with Hoshido. Camilla believed the Hoshidans had tricked him, believing that if she killed them all, Corrin would return to h- return to Nohr. However, when Xander was defeated, she, alongside the other Nohrians, fell back.
She would not see Corrin again until the Hoshidan army entered Cheve, looking for Ryoma. She personally greeted him, hiding her own sadness. Commanding the Nohrian army in Cheve, Camilla intended on killing all of the Hoshidan army, believing that would make Corrin return. However, when defeated, Corrin refused to kill her. She believed his story, how Garon’s actions almost killed him, cursing her father… Only to be interrupted by Leo attacking Corrin, believing Corrin to be a liar himself. The timely arrival of Chevois rebels (one of which was Ryoma in disguise), however, prevented Corrin’s death, and Camilla retreated with Leo.
Camilla rarely left her quarters afterwards, only resurfacing when she received (false) reports that Elise had been kidnapped by the Hoshidan army in the Windmire sewers. She attacked despite the pleas of Elise and Corrin, but she was defeated alongside her army. Believing both Corrin and Elise lost to her, they instead explained that they intended to parley with Xander and Garon to try and stop the war. She allowed them to pass, only to them collapse from the wounds she sustained during battle.
She survived the war, but lamented the loss of Xander and Elise. Believing that she would not be a good ruler and to better mourn the loss of Xander and Elise, she abdicated the crown in favour of her only surviving sibling, Leo, and attended Ryoma’s coronation as king of Hoshido.
In one world, that is…
In a world running concurrent to the above, Camilla saw her sister, Corrinne, side with Nohr. Vowing to protect her sister, she helped fight off Corrinne’s blood siblings, before returning to Castle Krakenberg, where she was assigned her own tasks to do.
However, as Corrinne’s forces fought off a surprise Hoshidan invasion of the Nohrian port Dia led by Takumi, Camilla, alongside Selena and Beruka, helped fight back the invasion. She later accompanied Corrinne up the Sevenfold Sanctuary, gloating to Hinoka, the leader of the Hoshidan forces there, that Corrinne chose her over Hinoka.
Camilla remained with Corrinne’s section of the army for the rest of the campaign, from fighting through a Hoshidan army to obtain medicine for Elise, helping her suppress the Chevois rebellion, and fighting an invading Hoshidan force attempting to assassinate Garon in Cyrkensia.
She assisted Corrinne to the best of her ability when they invaded Hoshido, where Garon’s true nature was exposed. This imposter and a new threat were both struck down, and Xander was crowned king of Nohr after the war, but this peace came at a great price…
Fortunately, nobody paid that price…
This time, at the Branch of Fate, the twins Corrin and Corrinne split, with Corrin siding with Hoshido, while Corrinne sided with Nohr. Camilla, alongside Corrinne and her other siblings, attacked the Hoshidan forces to try and get Corrin back, but once again, Xander was defeated, and they were forced to retreat.
Things felt… oddly familiar to Camilla… Except when she went to fight the Hoshidan army in Cheve, Corrinne was with her, with a bloodlust Camilla had never seen her display. Again, Leo tried to execute Corrin, and again, they were cut off and forced to retreat with the arrival of Chevois rebels and Ryoma…
Once again, Camilla fell into depression despite Corrinne’s pleas, only being galvanized back into action when she learned of Elise’s supposed kidnapping by the Hoshidan army in Windmire. She again fought, this time keeping an eye on Corrinne’s bloodlust… And again, she was defeated and collapsed from her wounds. However, while she intended to tell Corrinne to stay out of it… the white-haired girl had vanished.
Again, Camilla survived the war, but she would lose Xander and Elise for a second time… But this time, she would also lose Corrinne, having learned of her suicide from Charlotte. Once more, she abdicated her claim to the crown and attended Ryoma’s coronation. Although she never publicly displayed it, the war took a heavy toll on her.
Fortunately, it didn’t stick.
Once more, at the Branch of Fate, Corrinne chose Nohr, and Corrin chose Hoshido. Camilla helped fight off the Hoshidans before returning to Krakenberg, where she was again assigned her own duties…
Once again, at the port town of Dia, Camilla and her retainers helped Corrinne’s group fight back a surprise Hoshidan attack led by Takumi… But this time, Corrin was also with him…
Once more, Camilla accompanied Corrinne’s section of the Nohrian army throughout the war, including the invasion of Hoshido… But whenever one of Corrinne’s Hoshidan siblings was fought, Corrin was also there…
The first major divergence came after Ryoma killed himself so Corrinne didn’t have to do so. Corrin, in a fit of rage, took up Raijinto, and attacked Corrinne, challenging her to single combat as Hoshido’s last-ditch defence. Camilla helped fight off Corrin’s forces, allowing Corrinne to defeat her brother… And when Corrinne refused to kill him, Raijinto turned on Corrin, electrocuting him to death…
Once again, Camilla helped take down the impostor Garon and a new threat, but she was never the same again…
Once more…
At the Branch of Fate this time, both Corrin and Corrinne refused to take a side, and when Xander’s subcommander was taken down, Camilla stood down, and was forced to retreat back to Krakenberg after both the Nohrian and Hoshidan divisions were defeated.
Camilla had sensed something wrong about Garon, but could not act on it. Later, alongside her retainers, Flora, and some Ice Tribe fighters, she was ordered to attack and kill the twins en route to Cheve, their boats frozen in place. Camilla was defeated, however, and asked Corrinne to kill her… and Corrinne refused, instead urging her to join their cause. While the twins were unable to explain their mission, Camilla believed in them, and with her retainers, joined them.
Arriving in the port of Cyrkensia… it was destroyed. They saw Kaden and Keaton injured on the outskirts of the town, and Camilla ordered Sakura to heal the pair. The shapeshifters explained that the town was ravaged by an invisible force… And then Xander and Ryoma began fighting in the town. With a heavy heart, Camilla nonetheless engaged her older brother, going with Corrinne’s strike force. She tried to reason with Xander, but was unsuccessful, him viewing Camilla as a traitor.
Camilla remained with the twins’ army for the campaign, helping fight off a Nohrian attack at the lava fields at the Bottomless Canyon, led by Hans… Believing Xander responsible for sending the attack, Camilla was disheartened, but fought anyways, watching as Corrin killed Hans.
Immediately after, they were confronted with another army: Iago’s. Once again, Camilla helped fight off the attack… And shortly into the fight, Xander and Leo, followed by their retainers, entered on Corrin and Corrinne. Inspired by the return of her brothers, Camilla assisted in driving back the attack, and watched as Corrinne decapitated Iago. When the remaining Nohrians scattered, Xander and Ryoma spoke, and made a truce… Before they were to jump into the Bottomless Canyon and the home of their true enemy…
Camilla jumped in early, but she would arrive in a strange and oddly unstable land...
