Somewhere, deep in the slow eternal dense of paradox space, drifts Universe NES-0000001.
These are the twelve heroes (?) who made that universe.
Meet the trolls of NESstuck.
Cortem Bralee
Trolltag: carnageHarbinger (CH)
Quirk: HEY, /|\Y BRO/|\IDE! \|/HAT \|/E GOT GOIN ON UP IN THIS JOINT?
Constellation: Corvus, the crow
Lusus: Crowdad, a large, three-eyed crow
Blood Color: Burgundy
Fetch Modus: Act (To retrieve an item, he must first pretend to use it.)
Strife Specibus: knifeKind
Sgrub Title: Prince of Doom
World: Land of Thorns and Valleys (LOTAV)
Upon landing on Alternia via meteor, Cortem was adopted by his three-eyed crow lusus and established their home in a communal hive stem in the city. He possessed advanced telekinesis, as well as the ability to hear the psychic voices of the dead and imminently deceased; he would later discover that these voices were his own doomed timeline selves. When he wasn't out on misadventures, Cortem honed his skills as a filmmaker, producing short films and sketches with his friends and neighbors and gathering a decent following on GrubTube. Many of his online friends discovered him through his videos, including Aquila, whom Cortem started to develop a flushed crush on over the sweeps.
When Leukae invited him to play Sgrub, Cortem extended the invitation to Aquila, acting as his server while Lagola acted as Cortem's; he was the third to enter the Medium. He played the game expertly, spending much of his time fighting alongside Aquila and trying to discover ways to break the rules of the game to achieve victory more quickly and easily. While exploring Prospit in his sleep, he encountered a Dersite that had been sent to assassinate the White Queen; though successful in thwarting this attempt, Cortem's dream self was slain. Shortly thereafter, at the urging of the voices in his head, Cortem reclaimed his dead dream self and used it to tier 2 prototype his Crowsprite.
Upon completion of the game, Cortem and Aquila agreed that their race would be doomed to extinction if they tried to revive it in their new universe and convinced the team to retreat to one of the veil's remaining meteors. When the trolls discovered the earthling players from their universe, Cortem dedicated his time to helping them, and while at first his advice seemed like attempts to get the players to pull stupid stunts, he did eventually befriend them, even forming the foundations of a moirallegiance with Natalie. But still the voices of the dead still called to him, warning him of the arrival of a terrible demon.
Lagola Kippin
Trolltag: phantomOwsla (PO)
Quirk: :B Oh... um... I-I don't know. I... I really... don't wanna... t-talk about it...
Constellation: Lepus, the hare
Lusus: Bunnymom, a giant rabbit
Blood Color: Bronze
Fetch Modus: Satchel (She can select what she wants when she wants, but the satchel can't hold especially large objects and can easily become cluttered.)
Strife Specibus: rakeKind
Sgrub Title: Rogue of Time
World: Land of Water and Pendulums (LOWAP)
Lagola arrived on Alternia a few sweeps later than most of her teammates, making her the youngest of the bunch. She and her bunny lusus built their hive deep in the forest, away from civilization, where Lagola cultivated a wide array of flowers, herbs, fruits and vegetables and tended to the Alternian wildlife using her psychic ability to commune with animals. She grew up avoiding violence and conflict, fearing what her future would hold in such a hostile society. As a means of escape, she would frequently roleplay with online friends; this is how she met Sirion, who, despite his aggressive and bullying nature, became her most frequent roleplaying partner.
Sirion eventually convinced Lagola to play Sgrub with him; she was the fourth to enter the Medium, acting as Cortem's server player while Sirion acted as hers. Initially, she was terrified of the situation she found herself in, but she slowly worked up the nerve to venture out into LOWAP, help her consorts and study the lore of the land. She still offered very little in the ways of game completion, so Sirion took it upon himself to kill Lagola on her quest cocoon so she could reach god tier, a traumatic event that created a rift in their friendship. Shortly afterwards, Lagola was contacted by a being referring to himself as the Angel of Time, who offered her comfort and advice. With his help, she honed her new powers and used them to provide critical information to the team, buying them the time they needed to complete their quests and win the game.
Upon being warned of their imminent destruction in their new universe, Lagola wholeheartedly agreed that the safest course of action was to retreat into the veil. Though she observed the earthlings and their session, she very rarely spoke to them and spent most of her time conversing with her angel friend, who eventually warned her of a new threat approaching... the greatest any of them would face.
Eponah Nahwin
Trolltag: amblingElocutionist (AE)
Quirk: I Am Not Going To Mince Words Here. This Is A Terrible Idea.
Constellation: Equuleus, the horse
Lusus: Miss Howlite, a teacup-sized pony
Blood Color: Yellow
Fetch Modus: Journal (To store an item, she must first write a brief passage about it.)
Strife Specibus: whipKind
Sgrub Title: Maid of Mind
World: Land of Trails and Libraries (LOTAL)
Eponah and her remarkably small pony lusus lived a simple life in the countryside. From a young age, she aspired to become a counterintelligence agent and spent most of her days reading, writing and studying Alternian history, all within the comfort of her extensively stocked personal study. She often provided online tutoring and advice for her friends, even acting as a consultant and researcher for Leukae and Tabano's various projects. However, she would just as frequently attempt to talk them out of bad ideas, especially after Tabano's accident, which she partially blamed herself for.
At first, Eponah was disinterested in her friends' silly video game, but she ultimately decided to join the session when it became clear that the world was ending and the fate of their race depended on it. She begrudgingly acted as Maevix's server –whilst taking every opportunity to reprimand the purpleblood for what she did to Tabano– and was the seventh to enter. She assisted the team as one of its lead strategists, utilizing her telepathy, book smarts and visions in Skaia's clouds. Throughout the game, she was also constantly hit on by her server, Raegal, despite her constant rejection; though she kept it secret to all but Leukae, Eponah held mixed feelings towards him, finding him too airheaded to like but too fascinating to hate.
When it was suggested that they retreat to the veil, Eponah quickly agreed, correctly guessing that their new universe would ultimately face a similar fate as their old home. She was quick to offer assistance to the earthling players, albeit in her typical overcritical and often bossy manner. All too soon, though, Eponah was forced to commit herself to a new mission. Couldn't exactly trust Raegal to do it himself.
Leukae Dember
Trolltag: cryptogramKeeper (CK)
Quirk: 1 get the d1st1nct 1mpress10n y0u're not g0nna let me f0rget th1s anyt1me s00n.
Constellation: Lynx
Lusus: A two-faced lynx
Blood Color: Lime
Fetch Modus: Encryption (Items are stored in card safes that are opened by hacking their code.)
Strife Specibus: hatchetKind
Sgrub Title: Mage of Blood
World: Land of Mist and Citrus (LOMAC)
Leukae arrived on Alternia centuries after the limebloods were hunted to extinction. She grew up in an abandoned hive far from civilization, communicating with the outside world solely through her computer. Honing her skills as a hacker and researcher, she spent much of her adolescence trying to discover the truth behind the limeblood massacre. She also tried to get as many people as possible to like her, learning everything she could about them by either hacking into their files or using her psychic ability to see a person's past and future. She would often emulate others' interests or traits in an effort to make herself fit in, but was hindered by her obvious desperation and her fear of being culled for her blood color.
When Kelusa discovered a mysterious code in the Frog Temple ruins, she sent it to Leukae, who used it to create Sgrub. Though Leukae quickly deciphered what the game would ultimately cause, she proceeded to run it and invite her friends to play, believing it to be an opportunity to give limebloods another chance at life away from the tyranny of Alternia's rule. She served as Xiphas's server and was the last to enter the Medium. In the process of joining the game, an accident exposed her blood color to Orcana, her server, prompting Leukae to agree to follow her orders with the promise that she herself would reveal her secret when she was ready. Over the course of the game, she formed a tight bond and eventual matespritship with Xiphas, who helped her come out of her shell and establish her place as the team mediator, as well as a notorious rebel against the authority of Derse.
Though she agreed to stay in the veil after the game was completed, Leukae was still committed to restoring the limebloods with Xiphas's full support. When she wasn't trolling the earthlings, she assisted in the effort to clone a new Mother Grub, albeit to no avail. What she doesn't yet realize is that she is about to avenge her people in a completely different way.
Tabano Brunle
Trolltag: splicedDegenerate (SD)
Quirk (Pre-Accident): Uh... Okay then whatever you say
Quirk (Post-Accident): uhi i dunlik it IDON WANNA DOTYYIS
Constellation: Musca, the fly
Lusus: A fly-like creature that's... pretty much Brundlefly's final form
Blood Color: Olive
Fetch Modus: Taste Test (Items are identified and selected via taste.)
Strife Specibus: 2xcaneKind
Sgrub Title: Page of Life
World: Land of Stone and Acid (LOSAA)
After Tabano's arrival on Alternia, he was adopted by a horrific man-fly creature and raised in the city. He developed a fascination with technology and quickly became a proficient inventor. Despite his social awkwardness and aversion to the unpredictability of the real world, he also had a lust for life and sought to use his inventions to improve it. He started designing a helmet that would unlock any and all dormant psychic powers trolls possessed, but in response to taunting from Maevix, Tabano hastily tested it on himself, resulting in his brain being severely scrambled and part of his face receiving third degree burns.
Regardless of his condition, Tabano was invited to join the session at the behest of Kelusa, who had taken it upon herself to look after him as his self-proclaimed moirail. He acted as Kelusa's server, as no one else trusted him enough to manage their hives, and was himself the tenth to enter with Xiphas as his server. His physical and mental limitations were a huge hindrance, but he worked up the nerve to proceed regardless, mostly via Maevix's less than subtle nudges. When he wasn't flailing around in haphazard strife against underlings, Tabano spent much of the game asleep, enjoying the freedom from his waking body's disabilities and conversing with the horrorterrors in the Furthest Ring.
When the game was won and the team was forced to retreat into the veil, Tabano did his best to converse with the earthlings they discovered, but his attempts predictably didn't come across well. In the meantime, it quickly became clear that Maevix still had plans for him, if her constant use of her chucklevoodoos on him wasn't enough evidence.
Aquila Aperto
Trolltag: unboundAvian (UA)
Quirk: ````\ c'mon, O, cut the others a /_itt/_e s/_ack, eh? no one's perfect_ /````
Constellation: Aquila, the eagle
Lusus: Eagledad, a giant eagle
Blood Color: Jade
Fetch Modus: Message (Items are put into a 'message scroll' and he has to shoot an arrow with it attached to be able to get the item.)
Strife Specibus: bowKind (with weapon duality for twin shortswords later on)
Sgrub Title: Seer of Hope
World: Land of Sky and Fields (LOSAF)
Aquila was raised the desert, where he was provided ample space to fly with his eagle lusus, practice hunting and archery, and soak in the sunlight, being one of the few of trollkind who could withstand Alternia's intense sunlight. He was also generally more kind and well-adjusted than most trolls, making him well liked and respected among his online circle of friends. He was particularly close to Cortem, who kept in frequent contact with him after Aquila discovered his GrubTube channel; his lack of romantic inclination kept him from fully realizing Cortem's flushed crush on him.
Eventually, Cortem invited Aquila to play Sgrub, acting as his server while Aquila acted as Orcana's and was the second to enter. He quickly tapped into his abilities and became a valuable tactician, guiding the team towards their goals and providing them with the hope they needed to achieve them, and even reaching god tier partway through. He spent a great deal of time teaming up with Cortem and Orcana (typically on separate occasions), opening up to the latter in particular and becoming her moirail, while still not exactly getting the hint from the former. However, one thing that heavily weighed on him was his inability to see any hope for the propagation of their race, and he felt largely responsible for their lack of a Matriorb.
In the end, Aquila and Cortem agreed that there was no hope of reviving their race in the new universe, convincing the team of this and retreating to the veil. Aquila was one of the many who offered help to the earthling players and was perhaps the most cooperative and polite in that regard. After receiving a warning from one of them, he was able to quell Orcana's anger resulting from a vicious prank, later following her into the Furthest Ring to parts unknown.
Kelusa Urselt
Trolltag: ferociousGuardian (FG)
Quirk: the iniquitous fox bounds down the hall, pursuing a hapless little fly. SOON SHE WILL BE DEAD FOR HURTING THAT FLY. ʕ>m<ʔ
Constellation: Ursa Major, the bear
Lusus: Mama bear, an armored, six-armed cholerbear
Blood Color: Teal
Fetch Modus: Scrapbook (Stored items are placed in a messy scrapbook.)
Strife Specibus: hammerKind
Sgrub Title: Sylph of Space
World: Land of Caves and Frogs (LOCAF)
Upon arriving on Alternia, Kelusa rode her cholerbear lusus into the mountains, where they discovered the Frog Temple ruins in a cave. Over the sweeps, she found many things in the cave, including a seed used to build her hive, creatures that she hunted and skinned to make pelt blankets and plushies, strange hieroglyphs on the walls of the ruins, and a time capsule containing a small, golden star. The discovery of this star triggered her early awakening on Prospit's moon. When she wasn't watching the Skaian clouds in her sleep, Kelusa dedicated her time to looking after Tabano following the accident that rendered him disfigured.
Eventually, the clouds showed Kelusa what the hieroglyphs were for and she promptly sent them to Leukae, who used the code to create Sgrub. After bringing Raegal into the Medium, Kelusa walked Tabano through the steps necessary to prepare her hive for entry, becoming the ninth overall and the final Prospit dreamer to enter. Once in the game, she utilized the Gold Star to combat underlings and alchemize hammers infused with its energy. She also spent a great amount of time simply keeping Tabano on his feet and away from Maevix's corrupting influence; many debated whether she was actually Tabano's moirail, as she claimed to be, or more of an auspistice between him and Maevix.
Kelusa was more than willing to take shelter in the lab for the sake of her friends' protection. She did her best to befriend the earthlings, but she often ended up annoying them by treating them like wigglers that didn't know what they were doing. She also worked alongside Leukae to clone a new Mother Grub via ectobiology, each attempt resulting in an infertile mutant. But then came a tragedy that robbed her of the Gold Star, among other things.
Raegal Boreas
Trolltag: frostySwinger (FS)
Quirk: i hope you realize how lucky you are to have a friend a$ awe$ome a$ me
Constellation: Lacerta, the lizard
Lusus: White Wind, an eastern dragon-like reptile
Blood Color: Cerulean
Fetch Modus: Whistle (Each item receives a short, unique tune that he must whistle to retrieve them.)
Strife Specibus: yoyoKind (with weapon duality for sickles)
Sgrub Title: Knight of Breath
World: Land of Jazz and Chill (LOJAC)
From the start, Raegal was a big shot. He was adopted by an unusually beautiful lusus, lived in a lavish hive overlooking a gorgeous skyline on one side and the ocean on the other, and was a hatched musical prodigy. He grew up with a passion for jazz, selling self-produced albums online and performing in many night clubs. His popularity earned him numerous suitors out of both adoration and antipathy, further earning him a reputation as a player; there was even a rumor that he had a block dedicated entirely to used pails.
When he was invited to play Sgrub by Xiphas, a fan of his work, Raegal agreed and became the eighth to enter the session. In the process, not only did poor Kelusa discover that the rumor was true, but Raegal developed an interest in his client, Eponah, who seemed entirely uninterested by his advances. When he wasn't swinging bladed yo-yos at underlings, he spent his time hanging out with Eponah, attempting to convince her to loosen up, have some fun, and not be so critical and grounded. Though his efforts were mostly ineffective in this regard, he was certainly an invaluable player, helping to keep his teammates motivated, moving, and out of enemy hands.
Despite their success, the team wound up hiding in a meteor, and Raegal wasn't particularly quiet about his dissatisfaction with this decision. Nonetheless, he did his best to keep busy, whether it be through communication with the earthlings or delving back into his music. He still hadn't given up on breaking down Eponah's walls, but upon embarking on a new mission with her, Raegal soon found the tables turned on him.
Sirion Yethim
Trolltag: majorHellhound (MH)
Quirk: cOmE On, yA pAnsY! drY thOsE wIgglEr EYEs And gEt yOUr tAIl In gEArrrrr!
Constellation: Canis Major, the dog
Lusus: Alpha Dog, an enormous Cerberus
Blood Color: Indigo
Fetch Modus: Smash (Each item is sealed in a box, which he must destroy to retrieve the item.)
Strife Specibus: clubKind, fistKind
Sgrub Title: Bard of Void
World: Land of Gloom and Bones (LOGAB)
Sirion grew up believing in one philosophy above all others: only the strong survive. Under the tutelage of his ferocious lusus, he honed his skills as a hunter and warrior, believing himself to be destined for greatness. Whenever he grew bored of the monotony of his day-to-day life, Sirion would turn to roleplaying with Lagola (despite frequently bullying her) as a means of expressing his desire for grander adventure; he kept this a secret, however, fearing that his fondness for flights of fancy would be viewed as weakness.
He was quick to jump on board when he learned about Sgrub, inviting Lagola to join him as his client in the hopes that it would toughen her up. He was the fifth to enter under the psychotic guidance of his server, Maevix. The game was hardly a challenge for Sirion as he plowed through quests and enemies alike in pursuit of the ultimate reward. Eventually, when it became clear that Lagola was too scared to embrace her role, Sirion took it upon himself to kill her on her quest cocoon, believing that having god tier powers would provide the boost she needed. Though it worked to an extent, his actions divided the team and ruined his relationship with Lagola.
When it was decided to retreat into the veil rather than enter their new universe, Sirion was NOT HAPPY, and he made sure everyone knew it, even the earthlings that he wound up trolling with... less than stellar results. Eventually, once it occurred to Sirion that their efforts in the game had been for nothing, the furious troll finally left the meteor and entered the Furthest Ring, hoping to find renewed purpose somewhere in paradox space.
Maevix Duskit
Trolltag: miraculouslyFrivolous (MF)
Quirk: aw, now that all wasn't very FUNNY, mothaf***a~ let me show ya how to be doin it right~ HAHAHAHA~!
Constellation: Vulpecula, the fox
Lusus: An amphibious, vulpine creature that resembles a Vaporeon
Blood Color: Purple
Fetch Modus: Bobbing (Captchalogue cards are stored in a basin of slime and retrieved by grabbing them with her teeth.)
Strife Specibus: gloveKind, pistolKind
Sgrub Title: Witch of Light
World: Land of Ropes and Fireworks (LORAF)
No one really knows what Maevix's deal is. Heck, it's questionable whether or not Maevix knows what Maevix's deal is. As a purpleblood, she was a devoted follower of the Mirthful Messiahs. She took life in stride, never questioning the world and just doing whatever the heck she wanted. This ideology led her to garner black feelings for the scientifically-minded but equally energetic Tabano, and as a gesture of caliginous hate, she pressured him into testing one of his inventions on himself before it was complete, resulting in him being maimed.
When Maevix joined the game, she insisted on being Tabano's server, but Kelusa prevented this from happening and she instead acted as Sirion's server, more or less taking out her frustration on him with the excuse that she was giving him a "challenge." Her server, Eponah, more or less did the same to her as comeuppance for Tabano's accident, getting her into the Medium sixth. In the session, Maevix took great joy in causing chaos for the enemies... and sometimes for her team. She even made her way to Tabano's planet to whip him into shape and fight with/alongside him whenever Kelusa wasn't looking.
The decision to stay in the meteor lab instead of entering the new universe prompted Maevix to pursue a change of plans. Or, more accurately, to actually come up with a plan. This plan seems to heavily involve Tabano, seeing as how whenever she isn't toying with the earthlings, she's toying with him through the use of her chucklevoodoos.
Orcana Vanisa
Trolltag: delphinicDropper (DD)
Quirk: whale look what da meowbeastfish dragged in... a big fat losa
Constellation: Delphinus, the dolphin
Lusus: Dolphima, a horned dolphin
Blood Color: Violet
Fetch Modus: Dice (Six items are placed in a die; when she rolls the die, she retrieves whatever item it lands on.)
Strife Specibus: thrwstarKind
Sgrub Title: Thief of Rage
World: Land of Lava and Obsidian (LOLAO)
When Orcana landed on Alternia, she was adopted by her horned dolphin lusus and established an extravagant hive at sea. Dolphima was very doting and gave Orcana whatever she wanted, contributing to Orcana becoming a spoiled brat. Possessing steadfast hemoloyalty, she used her position as a highblooded seadweller as an excuse to bully all those beneath her, showing only the slightest veneration for bluebloods while treating lowbloods as less than people. The only troll she showed true respect for was Xiphas, who treated her no differently than he would any other troll.
Upon learning about Sgrub from Xiphas, Orcana was quick to demand that she be the session's leader. As such, with Leukae's blessing, she was the first to enter the Medium with Aquila acting as her server. When it came time for her to bring Leukae into the game, an accident exposed Leukae's lime blood to her, but before she could inform the others of the pariah among them, Leukae promised to follow Orcana's orders in order to keep her secret until she was ready. Despite some hang-ups over this event, Orcana's interactions with the well-mannered Aquila quickly grew into a mutual respect and eventual moirallegiance. She spent much of the game with him, as well as keeping the rust-blooded Cortem from influencing her new moirail, even managing to reach god tier.
Orcana went along with Aquila's insistence that they keep out of their new universe, but she quickly got fed up with humdrum life on the meteor. She spent her time harassing the earthlings, quickly gaining the ire of their session's time player, who repaid her by blowing up her computer and part of her face. Aquila managed to calm her down, and though she swore off vengeance, she departed from the lab soon thereafter to go treasure hunting. Better than wasting away in a space rock.
Xiphas Ningyo
Trolltag: waterloggedWisecracks (WW)
Quirk: Well, if you think of a better idea... let MINNOW! H------------EH! <°)))<
Constellation: Piscis Austrinus, the fish
Lusus: Clhama'rhi, a city-sized, eldritch shark-kraken
Blood Color: Fuchsia
Fetch Modus: Minigame (To retrieve an item, he must beat a short game based on said item.)
Strife Specibus: 2x3dentKind
Sgrub Title: Heir of Heart
World: Land of Souls and Surf (LOSAS)
As the only fuchsiablood on Alternia, Xiphas was the heir apparent to the throne tasked with looking after Clhama'rhi, keeping him fed and preventing him from rampaging. Despite his position, he was largely uninterested in leadership and instead inspired to be a comedian, preferring to help people by simply lifting their spirits and believing that anyone could be anything they wanted regardless of caste. Beneath his casual, friendly, laid-back attitude, though, Xiphas was rather depressed and conflicted, split between who he wanted to be and who he was supposedly destined to be.
However, his calling as heir to the throne was effectively cast aside when Kelusa invited him to play Sgrub. He happily played along, getting Tabano into the Medium while he himself entered second to last with Leukae as his server. With Alternia destroyed and his universe behind him, Xiphas embraced his new role as a member of the team and charged headlong into the rad new world he found himself in. His approach to the game was perhaps a bit reckless, but he certainly had fun with it and took every opportunity to encourage the others to have fun with it too. He even grew closer to Leukae, giving her the motivation to respect herself and be open with their teammates, eventually becoming her matesprit.
Despite his disappointment, Xiphas went along with the plan to stay in the veil, spending his time there chatting with the earthlings and chilling with Leukae. At one point, he promised her that he would help her revive the limebloods, while she motivated him to find his own way to be a leader. Little did he realize that his opportunity would come soon enough, albeit at a price.
These are the twelve heroes (?) who made that universe.

Couldn't exactly trust Raegal to do it himself.

Constellation: Piscis Austrinus, the fish
