Full Name: Alexander
Nickname(s): Xander
Age: 21
Height: 5 foot 11
Weight: 187 pounds
Gender: Male
Race: Revgaji (In the world of Ivalice, the Rev are an animal resembling species that can take on a large number of attributes. Some resemble humanoid lions, while some, like the Revgaji, take on a whole different look, complete with horns, long needle noses and pointed ears. Aside from the nose, which is a characteristic all Rev share, this makes the Revgaji resemble an American Bison.)
Alliance: Lawful good
Home: Cornelia
Franchise: Final Fantasy Legacy (Essentially take the world of Final Fantasy 1 and modernize it to the levels of Final Fantasy 15, creating a new story centered around four young knights that may or may not have a connection to the Warriors of Light in ancient Legend.)
Physical Description
A young knight fresh out of the academy, Alex is a bright-eyed young rev with orange-ish brown skin, with brown hair so dark it almost looks black. Unlike most Revgaji, which are naturally bulky, Alex is in a middling class of bulk not really skinny but not really muscular either. It is often told to him by teachers that his race’s natural muscle will come in the following years, but this still gives Xander no small amount of grief from other races. In public he tends to wear simplistic clothing, a sleeveless orange shirt with black pants, but in battle, expect him to sport chainmail underneath a brown leather jacket.
Once in a previous thread, Prishe, whom is acquainted with this man, once mistook the Thief of Void for Xander, and the main reason for this is the facial expression, deep blue-green eyes, a naturally kind expression and disposition. But perhaps the most telling is Xander’s aura, which bears the smallest similarity to the Thief’s more physical non-voidish aspects.
Weapons and Accessories
When in battle Xander is almost a walking arsenal of close range, melee weaponry. Often he packs a pair of Knuckle Claws to bring into a fight, but he is also known for using simple metallic gauntlets, lances, broad swords. Upon first arriving on the island he is only left with his Kaiser knuckles as his primary weapons, but as time goes on, and after unlocking an ability taught at the Cornelia Knight Academy, he will be able to regain his former arsenal and fighting potential.
Along with the Kaiser Knuckles, Xander is also left with his crystal powered mobile mini-phone, what is essentially his world’s take of a cell-phone, his Germinas Boots, which are boots specifically made for conquering rough and tough terrain, and a crescent moon shaped pendant that had been given to him prior to his arrival by a fellow knight hopeful.
Abilities/Powers
A magical skill that is taught in the Knight Academy (and one that was solidified to a point in the big war during the events of Dissidia) is the skill of storing weapons away in an unknown space and summoning them into one’s hand when needed. This is often only a skill taught to knights close to the royal family, but due in large part to the abundance of magic that had come in the long era of peace, security towards knowledge of this ability became lax until it became almost a necessity within the Cornelia Knights and their trainees.
Along with that, as is the common norms among the Rev, they share their job classifications and occupations with the Bangaa, so it’s easy to state that both races are natural physical powerhouses, with magical attacks being largely physical in nature as well. As Xander is still young, he’s still coming into that great strength, though it still shows itself in a few other smallers ways, such as great natural leg strength, which comes in handy with running and jumping, and a few other things.
Weaknesses
Amongst one of these things is an ability to underestimate the fragility of objects around him, often causing him to break fragile objects he’s trying to pick up, or hurt those he tries to help through direct contact whether by gripping or pushing too hard.
On top of that, while Xander is a powerful and skilled fighter in his own right, he’s still coming into his own as a warrior, learning from other masters and not yet finding a style all his own. As such his style is rough and easy to read once one recognizes the patterns. Even more so, since Xander only thus far fits into the role of a bruiser and has not yet started learning the magic inherent of his classes, he is weak to magical capabilities and has no real way to fight back against it. Sure he has some simple ki based abilities (Such as the Vulcan Jab like ‘Air Render’) but a simple wind manipulation often pales in comparison to magic in itself. He also has trouble against smaller and much more agile opponents on normal occasion.
Skills
As has been mentioned before, Xander is a skilled fighter, being proficient in numerous weapons, even if he has no set style of his own as of yet. Along with that, he’s also the designated map reader and partial navigator amongst his traveling companions, able to find his way even when his friends are completely lost. He’s also depended on as one of the group’s heavy lifters alongside another equally built member of the party, and has more then once been asked to help push the car to the next gas-stop.
In his free moments, Xander often writes in a journal that chronicles his and his friends travels, though he tends to add his own little fun twists to the retelling. This also allows him to take notice of his friend’s various stances, learn how they are achieved and even use logic, reasoning and his knowledge of the Knight’s class system to improve upon them to a certain degree.
Personality
The word one can best use to describe Xander is impulsive. While gentle in nature and often slow to get started, once he’s found a path, he often becomes dead set on following it and dislikes deviating from the path unless given very ample reason to. For him, the destination is the best part of the journey and he often only concerns himself with the smaller details when he has to find his way around. It often falls on his Moogle friend Roy to pull him back down to earth and just take time to enjoy things as they go.
As for his opinion of himself, there is a self-recognition of his own impetuous and often times mischievous nature and he, for reasons including his more infuriating character traits and even his own physical appearance has left him in a consistent stating of wanting. Knowing that he is capable of so much more and always reaching for the next big hurdle to jump. He is always looking for ways to improve himself in ways he believe will garner respect, not necessarily for fame, fortune or even righteousness, but so he can finally be recognized as knight, and a worthy one in the eyes of others.
But maybe…. Maybe he might be a bit more special then he ever really dares to dream that he is. As stated before, he has a very kind nature, and while he will create a set path and do his best not to deviate from it, he can rarely ever turn his back on those that are in need; a trait that endears him both to the people he helps out, and his peers.
History
Alexander was born into a mid-class family with high expectations. His father had been a well-known and powerful adventurer in his time, an associate of the Cornelian Royal Family and the knight’s, well known as a slayer of the mighty Storm Dragon, and a hero of Cornelia. So needless to say, Xander had huge shoes to fill, the full scope of which only hitting him on his second year in Knight Academy, when he seemed to miss a growth spurt common in Revgaji when they come of age. Afterwards he was widely regarded with some amount of disdain and ridicule by his peers, notions that caused him to react right back with spite.
In spite of his shortcomings, this only made Xander even more dedicated to passing his classes and becoming a better warrior then any of his other peers…
It was in this imposed isolation that he made his own safe spot outside the school for shadow boxing and practicing his bladework, and, in turn, he drew the attention of two of these peers; a bulky Garif named Yeldse-rah, who calls himself Joseph for short, and Thomas, a member of the normally emotionally stunted race called the Aegyl whom have bird like wings. Outside of their private studies, the three friends grew close and soon enough started doing a number of group activities together, such as staying in the same Hotel room as a group on long academy trips and sharing the same set of seats on public transportation.
During his second year in the academy, Xander, after being requested by a close family friend, took with him a young moogle named Ray into the Academy who was eventually accepted as a student due to his inherent skill with machines; his amazing intellect even allowing him to copy sword styles of various peers. With Ray included, the threesome soon became a foursome and were considered their own little odd clique within the academy to a certain degree. An odd little foursome of dreamers, each with their own skillsets and goals.
3 years would pass in relative calm as the four friends took in everything the Academy had to offer… Perhaps they believed they would separate upon graduating and continue to do their own thing, but instead, they receive a call from one of the head guards in Castle Cornelia, asking them to go on a road trip East to the Town of Pravoka where the Princess Sienna had left on a trip with body guard and lady in waiting before vanishing under mysterious circumstances. Perhaps it was due to reputation the four had gained in the academy, or perhaps it was because of Xander’s father that the captain called to them to lend a hand… Whatever the case may be, the four take their leave in a car Ray had rebuilt and repaired, bound for Pravoka to find the missing princess…
Other
Yes there is a similarity here between the main themes of Final Fantasy 15 and this piece of fan-fiction, however this author makes it clear right from the main character that the themes of maturity will be a great deal different with Xander then how it was approached with Noctis.
As another note, Xander arrives in Dimensional Island alone initially due to being separated from his school chums during a certain mission and will not really take being on Dimensional Island well… However, I also intend him to be a bit more of a social character then most and, who knows? Perhaps new friendships will be abounding for those that work their way past any initial annoyance Xander may show.

Meet Final Fantasy Tactics A2's Cid, a Revgaji and a center piece of inspiration regarding many of Xander's stats and what he could grow to be. (Sadly I don't have a photo of Xander himself yet or even what he COULD look like since there are so few Revgaji characters in the Ivalice series of Final Fantasy games.)
