Full Name: Ephraim
Nickname(s): N/A
Age: 19
Height: Fairly tall
Weight: Medium weight; he’s fairly lithe.
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Alliance: Heroic
Home: Castle Renais, Magvel
Franchise: Fire Emblem (The Sacred Stones)
Physical Description
Ephraim’s outfit is on the fancier side, so it’s really best to look at the picture. He wears a fairly ornate set of dark-blue armor with a cape, a light green shirt underneath, with brown leggings. He has light green hair and bright blue eyes.
Weapons and Accessories
Ephraim has two weapons with him upon arrival to the Island, having lost Siegmund, his Sacred Twin weapon, in the transit. His primary weapon is his personal lance, Reginleif. It is a decently powerful and fairly light, though slightly inaccurate lance, that has a design making it effective against both mounted units and armored units.
His other weapon is a Spear. While it isn’t the most accurate weapon and rather heavy, Ephraim can throw it with great strength, and it’s his go-to ranged weapon.
Abilities/Powers
Besides his ability to wield Siegmund, Ephraim has no special powers.
Weaknesses
Ephraim, being a lance fighter, has a weakness to axes, and when riding his horse, Jagen, is vulnerable to weaponry that’s effective against cavalry. He is also prone to absolutely insane plans.
Skills
As Ephraim comes from a place that does not commonly use skills, he only arrives with his Personal Skill, Surefire Victory. As Ephraim commonly says, “I never pick fights I can’t win.” and that phrase manifests through this skill. Its effect is as follows: ‘When attacking an enemy that can be defeated in one hit, Hit = 100%’. Ephraim’s confidence makes his powerful blows even more deadly.
He’s a skilled tactician, capable of thinking on the fly and adapting to changing battle conditions.
He can cook but isn’t really capable of doing anything spectacular.
Personality
Ephraim is confident, brave, and fierce. He is very protective of those he’s close to, especially his twin sister, Eirika. He always tries to do his best by his soldiers and the people he serves as King of Renais. He is passionate, headstrong, and very candid and straightforward, not liking putting on airs with others.
History
Ephraim was born in Renais with his twin sister, Eirika, and he grew up training to eventually take the position of rulership. During one visit to the kingdom of Grado to the south, he and Eirika met the prince of Grado, Lyon, and became fast friends with him.
Peace ruled Magvel for a time, until Grado attacked Renais suddenly. Ephraim lead a campaign against the kingdom using guerilla warfare, attempting to divert them from Renais, though he was unable to effectively do so, and as such, intended to return and regroup with Eirika, who had fled Castle Renais. To give her a chance to escape properly, Ephraim decided to attack Renvall, a critical fortification of Grado’s, in an incredibly ballsy move. He was successful, but one of the knights with him, Orson, was a traitor to Grado, and Ephraim was captured alongside Kyle and Forde, two knights who were with him.
They eventually escaped, reuniting with Eirika, and they returned to Castle Frelia to make their next move. With Grado targeting the Sacred Stones, they needed to move; they split their group up and parted ways, reinforced by Frelian knights. Eirika made her way through the Republic of Carcino, as there was no easy way to get to Jehanna, while Ephraim dealt with a ghost ship and went right into Grado, rescuing Princess Tana of Frelia and a Grado recruit named Amelia. Ephraim, at one point, crossed spears with a Wyvern Knight named Cormag, and convinced General Duessel of Grado, a man who had trained him in the past, to join forces, as Duessel had been sentenced to death. He traveled to the capital of Grado and defeated Emperor Vigarde, who had been reanimated through dark magic… Ephraim learned from a Shaman named Knoll who had also been sentenced to death that Lyon had drawn a dark power out of the Fire Emblem, the Sacred Stone of Grado that the demon king Fomortiis had been sealed into, who sought revival.
Ephraim hurried northeast to Jehanna, coming in time to aid Eirika, whose group had been surrounded by Caellach and Valter of Grado. Caellach was cut down by Joshua, prince of Jehanna, and Valter was slain by Cormag, whose brother had been slain by Valter’s lance and had been blamed on Eirika. The group reunited, they went to Renais, getting the Sacred Stone along with the Sacred Twin weapons of the kingdom, Siegmund and Sieglinde. During the aftermath of a battle against a horde of Gorgons, Ephraim saw Lyon… Lyon magically froze Ephraim in place, taking the Stone of Renais from him and shattering it. After saying that everything that had happened was his willing act, he vanished...
They managed to get the Stone of Rausten, the Princess of Rausten, L’Arachel (who along with her bodyguard Dozla had joined Ephraim’s group) having been a great help in that regard. Finally, they headed into Darkling Woods, where the Manakete, Myrrh, who Ephraim had been protecting, was from. In the depths of the woods, the group battled Lyon, and while they defeated him, he was sacrificed and Fomortiis resurrected. Sealing away Fomortiis’ soul in the Stone of Rausten, the group battled the Demon King, coming away victorious, not a single death among their group.
As the continent began to settle down, Ephraim was visited often by L’Arachel, and they eventually wed. Rausten was thrown into chaos by it, but L’Arachel’s bombastic personality helped settle things down quickly. Things were peaceful… at least until a strange portal was found around the Lagdou Ruins to the south of Rausten. Thinking it strange, Ephraim went to investigate alongside Eirika, and found something far greater than he expected.
