Full Name: Third Prince Takumi of Hoshido
Nickname(s): ‘Pineapple’
Age: 17
Height: Somewhat on the shorter side
Weight: Average for his height
Gender: Male
Race: Human with dragon ancestry
Alliance: Heroic
Home: Castle Shirasagi, Hoshido
Franchise: Fire Emblem (Fates)
Physical Description
Takumi is on the shorter side for a young man of his age, and he wears a… rather complex-looking outfit that really is better seen than described, as I would surely forget details. Check the picture. Takumi does have golden eyes, and very lengthy white hair that he keeps in a ponytail more often than not.
Weapons and Accessories
Takumi only has a single weapon, his Fujin Yumi. It is one of the legendary weapons of Hoshido, though its power has waned somewhat from being removed from its place of origin; while it was stronger, it is now somewhere between an iron and steel Yumi in power level, and it no longer possesses the magic that lets Takumi cross any terrain without issue.
Abilities/Powers
Takumi, being one of the royals of Hoshido, has the power to access Dragon Veins, utilizing the magic within to alter terrain, among other effects. Otherwise, his other ‘powers’ are more like skills.
Weaknesses
As he lacks the necessary skills, Takumi requires space to be able to fight; he can’t fight very effectively up-close. He is also, due to his slight instability, vulnerable to mind-controlling and mind-altering effects.
Skills
Takumi possesses several combat skills; the first of which is his Personal Skill, Competitive, which has the following effect: “If Takumi’s level is lower than supporting unit’s level, Crit +10, Dmg +3, Dmg received -1”. Takumi’s nature spurs him on to work harder so he doesn’t get shown up.
Next is Skill +2, which is fairly straightforward
Quick Draw, his next skill, is also fairly straightforward; its effect is “When unit initiates combat, Dmg +4. Takumi takes advantage of initiating a battle and quickly fires arrows, striking when his foe is vulnerable.
Finally, while this skill is one he doesn’t remember learning, he possesses Rend Heaven, which works as follows: “Adds ½ enemy’s Str or Mag to damage (Skill x 1.5% activation rate)” Takumi himself has very little magical aptitude, but due to his dragon blood, can draw on that power to take strength from his enemy’s Magic, turning it against them.
Takumi can cook, but his meals are nothing special; one could even call them Standard. He also is quite capable with a katana, though he much prefers the bow.
Personality
Takumi often comes across as… prickly, putting it nicely. He tends to keep to himself, doesn’t talk much with others, and generally would be seen as not approachable.
In actuality, Takumi has quite a few deep-seated issues that stem from general feelings of not belonging and envy of his siblings. Unlike Ryoma, Hinoka, and Sakura, he didn’t have their red hair, and he was the youngest of the princes. He has a darker side that his insecurities manifest.
That said, he does have a bit of a dorky side. He’s a very skilled shogi player, is a bookworm, and loves miso soup.
History
Takumi was born the second-youngest of the Hoshidan Royal Family.
When one of his siblings was taken, he was so young that he didn’t have any memories of them… he trained over the years, getting chosen by the Fujin Yumi, working with the bow and attempting to master it.
Eventually, his sibling was returned from Nohr to Hoshido, but tragedy struck. The blade that they carried from Nohr, Ganglari, shattered due to a stranger’s action. Mikoto was killed, and chaos ensued. While he initially believed his sibling to be a traitor, Takumi still went to a path, a Branch of Fate.
His brother, Corrin, chose to fight with Hoshido, to repel the Nohrian invasion. Takumi was still leery, but marched with Ryoma to battle.
...At least until he got separated from Ryoma. He had fallen into the Bottomless Canyon, and from there things were a blank to him until he was in the forests of Mokushu… he tried to attack Corrin and the others, but Azura, who was fighting, noticed something was off. With her song, the hold on his mind was broken, and he lent his bow to Corrin’s forces.
He continued along, fighting to Castle Krakenburg, ultimately helping defeat Garon and bringing peace back to the world, though it came at the cost of Elise and Xander. Takumi settled into his roles as a prince, more confident in himself, and determined to help his country best he could.
Meanwhile, running concurrently to the above…[/i]
Takumi’s sister, Corrinne, chose to fight for Nohr. Takumi was outraged, seeing her as nothing but a traitor, and he swore to take her down in Mikoto’s memory. Takumi fought against Corrinne on multiple occasions, always trying his damndest to kill her, but that all came to a head at an important Hoshidan fortress.
Takumi had fallen into the Bottomless Canyon and had fallen under the control of a darker entity, who had been pulling the strings of the war. Nobody could break the control, and that force had overtaken him. When he fought Corrinne at the Great Wall of Suzanoh, it wasn’t him anymore. After he was defeated, he fell off the wall, his body never recovered…
...He reappeared after Corrinne and company had defeated the monster that had taken Garon’s form. His body, possessed by that force and fueled by his anger and resentment, and the Fujin Yumi corrupted into the Skadi bow, he fought against Corrinne with a copy of himself, and a retinue of invisible soldiers. Or, at least… the fake did. The real Takumi, long since dead, appeared before Corrinne in her near-death dream, using the Fujin Yumi’s power to empower her Yato, wishing for her to stop ‘him’.
Takumi could finally pass on after his body was killed, and peace returned to Hoshido and Nohr.
Though that’s really not quite right…[/i]
Takumi’s siblings were at a crossroads… Corrin chose Hoshido and Corrinne chose Nohr. The Yato, meanwhile… stayed in Hoshido. Takumi fought alongside his brother, against his sister in multiple locations.
As before, Garon was defeated and peace restored, though Corrinne also perished, having taken Siegfried after Xander’s death. Takumi had seen her becoming.. ‘Darker’, and the sight gave him chills, for some reason he couldn’t explain.
But again… it happened again.[/i]
When the Yato went with Corrinne, Takumi fought against Corrinne on multiple occasions, with Corrin at his side. And again, Takumi fell under the power. And again, after Ryoma and Corrin died, and the monster Garon was defeated, he attacked them. And again, his body perished.
Fortunately, he got another chance[/i]
At the Branch of Fate, the twins refused to choose a side. After they’d defeated both a Nohrian and Hoshidan force, both sides branded them traitors. Takumi had felt their actions were disgraceful and was fully intent to fight them both… except in Izumo, after they’d rescued him from Zola’s trap, and Izana had given his ultimately fatal prophecy… Takumi was convinced. Grudgingly though it was, he was convinced, and he, Hinata, and Oboro joined the twins’ forces. They fought against invisible soldiers, and against both Hoshidan and Nohrian forces at times. Eventually, after the siblings had all joined the twins’ forces, they went to the Bottomless Canyon, the path to where they needed to go. Takumi jumped in alongside Leo and their retainers… though they arrived at a place that was rather unexpected.
