"I mean..." Kelsey rubbed her neck and contemplated how best to explain this. "For one, I have my roommate to back me up. But more importantly, my powers come from-"
BANG
"S***!!!" Kelsey was quick to dive under the table as the first gunshot rang out. Paul hastily followed suit.
From their hiding place, the two shot each other identical worried looks. Then Paul started hitting himself on the forehead. "I should've known. I should've... seen this... coming! Ugh...! Sorry to get you into this mess..."
"Hey, don't apologize. It's not like you started this. I'm fine." Kelsey peaked out from under the table, then ducked back down with a stern expression. Things were quickly devolving into chaos out there. "Dammit, those lunatics are gonna hurt someone!"
"You thinking what I'm thinking?"
"I sure hope so."
"Then c'mon!" Paul dashed out into the open with Kelsey on his heals. Never mind the escalading madness in the center of the room. They knew they could survive that much. They weren't the ones in imminent danger.
The duo then proceeded to dash from table to table, with Kelsey projecting shadow tendrils from her aura to block any stray shots from the brawl and Paul herding the hapless bar-goers towards the door. "C'mon, c'mon, we got ya covered! You can pay your bills later! Just get outta here!" With each customer they got to safety, Paul walled off the fight with their abandoned tables and booths. He'd clean up after himself once he was absolutely certain no one was killed.
"YIPE!" When a bar stool was hurled her way, Kelsey knocked it back with a shadow, inadvertently flinging it at one of the brawlers. "GAH! SORRY! ACCIDENT!"
"Great way to kick off a date, huh?!" Paul angrily shouted, mostly at himself, partially at the world.
"I thought you said this wasn't a date!"
"Well, this certainly isn't!"

While Ranuen missed the newcomer entering the bar, Alaric's eyes were drawn to him. Unlike his diminutive companion, who had begun to grow accustomed to the stranger folk here, Alaric remained suspicious of many, and this gentleman was no exception, drawing the vampire hunter's eye. Ranuen didn't notice the stranger, but he did notice Alaric's attention shifting, and followed the man's gaze. "Huh. Haven't seen him around." He said. But Alaric's intuition was firing off signals. Something was about to happen. He didn't know what or when, but it'd be soon, and he felt it'd have something to do with the new arrival. Alaric wasn't psychic or anything. This was just a hunch. An accurate one, as it turned out.
BANG
Alaric and Ranuen both leaped into action, their Hunter and Warrior backgrounds respectively prompting them not to hesitate as others would. Alaric was up from the table in a flash. Dammit, what could he do? Pretty much all of the equipment Alaric had on him was suited for slaying monsters, not breaking up a brawl. Wooden stakes, a revolver with silver bullets, a wolfsbane grenade, purifying salts... nothing that would be useful against two humans if he didn't want to kill them. He heard one of the other individuals he'd seen shouting for an evacuation, and decided that was where he could best help. Alaric moved quickly, trying to help the other patrons exit the Club safely, keeping an eye on the brawl, tracking bullet trajectories to make sure an errant shot didn't hurt anyone. Staying on the other side of Paul's barricade.
Ranuen on the other hand, was not the kind of person to sit back from the fray. He leaped right on in, springing off the table, and growing to the height of a normal human in an instant. A sword flew from its scabbard as the swordsman advanced towards the corner, his weapon primed for action. An errant projectile flew from the corner, and Ranuen's sword flicked up at an impossibly fast speed, catching the shot and deflecting it into the ceiling. He heard someone calling for security. Technically this would be their job. Most people would simply settle for either stalling or letting security take care of it. Ranuen wasn't most people and he was definitely impulsive. "Hey!" He called out, advancing to join in the brawl. "The hell are you lot doing!?" He exclaimed.

"Friend?" Solace gave a chuckle. "He's about as much of my friend as a staring lion is to a zebra. He's more a familiar adversary at this point."
"So, long as we're on this island," Jack offered, getting away from their earlier conversation. "What say we tour the joint? Treasure hunt a bit."
Now this got the gloved footballer to think. "Hmmm... I guess there's nothing stopping us from heading somewhere, but-"
BANG
"SWEET DESTINY'S STARDUST!"
Jack looked toward the shot, taking particular notice of the laughing girl at the table. "Serves you right," she smiled.
She seemed blind to everyone scattering to the winds though.

Daring jumps up in her seat from the shot, a golden glow forming around her. Her wings fan out and what seems like a small burst of a strong gust slams into the patrons of the bar, staggering a fair number of them.
At the same moment, a certain red pegasus had charged at the one who shot, but the winds caused him to instead slam into one of their legs after hitting a table, sending drinks flying.
Yelping, Sky flings the table up to protect the two from them, turning to her friend in bewilderment. "What was that?!"
"I don't know!" was the only reply the pony could muster as she hastily gets her weapon ready.
Enigma gets up, shaking his head from the impact. Not wanting to get caught off-guard, he lowers his stance and spreads his wings, trying to look more intimidating.

Artemis goes to get up and fight only to have Bolas pull her back down.
"What I can take that asshat," she offered.
"You're no good to me dead. Even with Necromancy you won't come back as needed to learn magic. Plus the area around the new arrival is one where magic can't thrive," Bolas hissed. "You can tell when the mana you were syphoning off to recharge is cut off unexpectantly."
Artemis nodded as the blue lion looked up from the bar and sighed. The lion went to pull an odd shaped sword from a scabbard at his hip.

A few seconds before half of the bar could react to the sudden bursting shotgun shell, a jet of flames burst over towards the scene, Sal grinning as he cracked his knuckles; FINALLY some action! Just what he needed to take his mind off of things. "NO NEED TO TELL US TWICE BOSS MAN!! Bonnie! Peacock!! Fight time!!!" The two at the table jump up and quickly follow Sal in. The infernous little brat was within range of the one that was known as Seeker- Only for the Ifrit's flames to suddenly extinguish and the demon brat to collapse on the floor. "OW!! WHA-WHAT THE HELL- " Sparing not a moment, he got up quickly and looked himself over... Just as quickly as his MAGIC HAD BEEN CANCELED OUT, it seemed to have come back. What... What just happened-?Bonnie and Peacock quickly rushed in, the water dragon already magicking up a water whip, while Peacock pulled out her Cartoony six-shooter pistol. "OLLY OLLY OXEN FREE!!!" Peacock shouted as she started firing off numerous rounds, while Bonnie's water whip suddenly dispelled and splashed her head. ("WHOA WHAT THE CRAP-?!?!?") BANG BANG BANG BANG!!

"How quaint. I didn't think there were demons abroad... Thought they were all sealed away." Seeker moved in the direction of Lark, the white-haired man actually yelping, feeling the anti-magic field pass over him.
"Back off! The explosion in Gnigieb? For once, you can't blame me, buddy! I've been chasin' my archnemesis all this time- AH!" Lark's bow, while dead weight for the most part and a very dull grey under Seeker's influence, still had some weight to it, and thus, could very easily be used to swat away a bar stool in the direction of the scary anti-magic person. Seeker frowned, raising their own weapon and knocking the stool back into the air.
"Attention bargoers." While maintaining a level tone, there was clearly a threat in Seeker's voice. "Hand over the one with the white hair, and I will leave this place alone. Refuse? Well... I don't have any hesitations with firing a few rounds into your head." There was a clicking sound as the eyepatched person raised their arm, showing that this clearly wasn't a jape. "I will repear myself. Hand over the one with the white hair- arck!?"
Lark's deadened bow had been used as a makeshift bludgeon against Seeker, knocking the one-eyed individual to their knees. "Oops. My arm slipped." His tone made it clear that he wasn't sorry in the slightest. "Now, maybe we'll come quietly..."
The pair of bounty hunters had paused, noting that with Seeker at least momentarily down for the count, the anti-magic field seemed to be off. "I guess we're catching a break... No, it can't be that easy. You sure your blade is going to work just in case?" Percy glanced at the individual with the two-toned hair, not releasing his sword.
"I dunno, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. Worst case, I've still got my fists, yeah?" Percy rolled his eyes at William's comment.
"Implying that fists are any good in a gunfi-"
BAM BAM BAM BAM!!!
Seeker had returned to their senses, and fired off several rounds at Lark, who had wisely chosen to start running.
"I was going to take you unharmed, but I don't have an issue with putting a few bullet holes in you, punk!"
Lark ducked under a table near Bolas and Artemis. "Nice day we're havin', eh? Not."

"Ugh... 'Fhalma fri'ilthah..."
"Hey now! Who taught you such naughty language?" Tri teased as his astral projection appeared next to Kelsey.
Kelsey responded with a sharp glare. "Shut up. A little direction would really be appreciated!"
"Relax, kiddo. Ask and you shall receive." Tri rested his chin in his hand as he looked around the room, his calm smile completely at odds with the scene taking place. "Well, the one with the gun seems to be able to make some sort of anti-magic field. So you're totally safe!"
"Good to know..." Kelsey grumbled, severely doubting that was entirely true.
"But hey, if they're after birdo over there, your options are either to get him outta here or help capture him. Simple as that."
"That's not a lot of direction, Tri!"
"Hey, I can't tell you what to do."
"Wha- WHAT IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?!!"
"Uh... Who're you talking to?"
Kelsey jumped and whipped around, finding Paul standing right behind her and her invisible master, blank-faced and confused. At a quick glance, it seemed that the more defenseless patrons had been safely ushered out, prompting Kelsey to yank Paul to the ground behind a booth. "Can you do me a favor?"

The brawl was getting hectic, and it seemed several others were starting to join the fray. Ranuen didn't bother counting, instead merely staying focused on his own protection, as well as trying to contain the fight within the perimeter that was being made. He hadn't noticed it at first when the white-haired man had entered the room. However, now that he was actually fighting, he was beginning to realize that his magic.... it was gone. The power that fueled his body, advancing it to incredible levels had dissipated. It couldn't be used. Ranuen's eyes focused much more intensely. That complicated things. A lot.
However, even without magic, Ranuen still had an incredibly strong and fit body, and still displayed speed and strength that could be considered inhuman. Even before his curse, he had been a highly physical individual, and since his curse he had only gotten stronger, faster and tougher. Others in the area, weren't so fortunate. Ranuen noticed with his peripheral vision, someone attempt to strike with some kind of aquakinetic attack, only to have it fizzle out upon contact with the anti-magic field. More gunshots were added to the fray, though fortunately, none seemed aimed at the swordsman. Ranuen was getting close now, keeping a low, defensive posture with his blade-- non-threatening but ready to move at a moment's notice. Nobody had attacked him yet, thus Ranuen himself hadn't launched an attack yet either. He was also able to overhear the conversation as he got closer. One of them had gone down due to a bludgeoning hit from a bow. Ranuen quickly realized that if he waited, they'd probably sort themselves out. However, he recovered quickly, and fired off several more rounds at the white-haired man, who had begun to run away from the gunfire.
The swordsman attempted to move into Lark's path. "Hold up!" Ranuen declared, only to hear further gunfire. His eyes tracked the bullets flying from Seeker's direction and he lurched aside. Deprived of his magically enhanced speed, one of Seeker's shots clipped Ranuen's side, causing him to wince.
Alaric saw that most people had evacuated the club. The people left at this point were likely either people who wanted to see how things turned out, or those who had taken cover. He heard further gunshots and saw one of the men running away. Alaric quickly moved to try and plant himself between Lark and the door. He wasn't entirely sure why he was doing it, but there'd clearly been some serious trouble here, and Alaric for one, was wondering what was going on.

Alaric, of course, wasn't the only one with that idea.
"HEY LOSER!" Wario gurgled out, rushing his way through the fight. "This is-a for ruining my lunch!"
With insane sound effects included, Wario's arm started to windmill up, the massive fellow running his way toward the table with all intentions to blow it to bits with an earthquake inducing punch-
Just to recieve one such punch himself. "LAY OFF!" Bryn growled, his punch making Wario stumble a moment. Stomping his foot back on the ground, Wario delivered a punch right back.
"STAY OUTTA THIS!" he roared. Bryn stumbled as well, the two angrily glaring... The creating a hilarious bout of dust in the insuing brawl, the pair's fists, feet and heads occasionally popping out. "Way to calm him down, Bryn," Jack sighed. "Though I guess that means getting this fight to end won't be easy."
"Personally I say give the pasty jerk over," Solace giggled. For the brief moment the barrier had happened, her illusory spell had dissipated- she still didn't realize her form was revealed, so hadn't fixed the damage.

Daring looks to the pony girl beside her, frowning quietly. "What do we do? We have to protect everyone, but that person has a gun!"
Sky stares at her, an eyebrow raised. "So do I. What, you think that weird field is going to stop us?"
She glances around the table, unsure. "I'm not... sure... what is that pony doing?"
Confused, her friend does the same around the other side of the upturned table, eyes widening as she sees the red pegasus standing in front of this Seeker person.
He wastes no time with words, wings darting forward and pulling the shooter's legs apart. In the same moment, as the person starts to fall, a burgundy hoof slams into their groin, and the pony's head collides with their face, the floor cracking due to the sheer amount of strength behind it.
Seeing her chance, Daring lets out a breath, a wind darting through the club and whisking the gun out of the Seeker's hand, knocking it in the direction of Artemis and Bolas.

Artemis went to retrieve the gun mid air as Bolas looked to Lark. The girl knocking it towards the bar instead of catching it.
"And you hide at the table of a mage with that anti-magic field best I could do is a breath weapon," he offered. "But I doubt that would do much..."
The lion nodded to the odd noisy human. "For once I agree with hi-" he cut himself off as the red pegasus hit the other in the groin. "Oooooo. That looked like it smarts...."

"Fine. Be that way. I will have the fugitive, and I will-"
A funny sound that may have been mistaken for an angry high-pitched crocodile roar escaped from Seeker's lips when the red pony rammed into their... lower regions. Recoiling in pain, the crowbar-gun fell from the eyepatched individual's hand with a loud CLANG.
Lark yelped at the clang, scurrying more and more back, trying to reach the door...
Only to find it blocked. "Oh, come ON!" Now that he was out of Seeker's anti-magic field, his bow seemed to be powered again, and he reached for it.
"Wait for it..."
"Any second n-"
BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG!!!!
Several rounds of bullets were fired from the dropped gun, spraying in random directions. One found its way into Lobo's wing, causing the eagle-winged twin to yelp.
"GOD FUCKING DAMMIT- I JUST INSTALLED THOSE PANES!!!"

"Uhh... Yeah, I can do that," Paul stated with a nod, confused but certainly willing.
"Thanks." Kelsey turned and faced the action again, eyes narrow and slowly turning an icy blue. "Meet me outside in five minutes. Oh, and before I forget..."
Kelsey held up a hand, prompting Paul to hand her about thirty dollars, which she then pocketed. They were clearly on the same page, and Paul had offered to pay for their drinks anyway. It was the least they could do for the owner of this place, given the horrid situation he was in.
With that exchange out of the way, Paul and Kelsey split. The former hugged the wall, maneuvering towards the exit whilst avoiding the central conflict. His eyes were trained on Lark, who seemed to have the same idea until he was stopped by the small crowd that had gathered in front of the door, including... wait... Was that Ranuen? Huh... He was smaller the last time Paul saw him.
He jumped when a stray bullet grazed Ranuen's hip, at which point Paul hastily rushed at him and Lark, tackling the latter to the floor underneath him while Ranuen simply bolted away. "GET DOWN!!!"
His timing was rather impressive, given that not a second later, Paul felt a bullet strike him in the back, followed by a second mere moments after. Though the bullets inflicted little damage, merely ricocheting off his dense, dragon-scaled hide, the sheer force of the impact still stung like crazy, judging by the distressed look on his face. "SWEET CHRIST, I THOUGHT GUNS GOING OFF WHEN THEY'RE DROPPED WAS A MYTH! WHO THE HELL WOULD DESIGN A GUN WITH THAT KIND OF SAFETY HAZARD?!"
"PLEASE..."
Soon enough, though, everything came to a screeching halt...
"...CAN WE JUST..."
Dozens upon dozens of black tendrils erupted from the shadows.
"...CALM..."
The shadows wrapped around a number of brawlers, including Seeker, Wario, Bryn, the red pegasus, and the fallen gun.
"...THE F***..."
In one swift motion, the tendrils pinned their captives to the walls, tables and floor.
"...DOWN?!!!"
Kelsey stood in an open space in the middle of the room, sucking in deep breaths, arms raised as she strained to hold down anyone and everyone that had proved themselves potentially dangerous. She kept still until she was absolutely certain the commotion had stopped, even if it was only temporary, then she loudly hollered for all to hear...
"ALRIGHT...! I know some of you have just been caught in the crossfire! I know some of you are just trying to stop a perceived threat! I'm sorry to get you mixed up in this! But until we all know for sure WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON, how about we sit our a**es down, keep our arms and hands to ourselves, stop trashing this poor guy's establishment, and talk things out like RATIONAL... F***ING... ADULTS?! IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?!"

The brawl intensified as the fat man in yellow joined the brawl, engaging another patron, in a tumbling war of flying fists. Ranuen checked a Red Pegasus hurtle into combat against the gunner, delivering a heavy blow to his groin that elicited a chuckle out of Ranuen despite himself. Low blow.... but a classic to be sure. He saw the gun go tumbling across the ground, and spraying bullets in all directions, including at some of the remaining individuals here. "Shit!" Ranuen became a blur of movement. He was not able to stop all the bullets, without his magic, but he was still fast enough that a flashing blade intercepted at least two of the bullets fired from the weapon and mitigating the damage, even as a third shot clipped his shoulder, causing blood to spurt, and the swordsman to wince in pain.
Then shadows hurtled from the walls. Ranuen saw them emerging and sprang back, away from them. "What is that!?" He exclaimed, but they did not seem to be targeting him. Only those actively engaged in the brawl seemed to be their targets, not merely someone who was mitigating the damage like him, and they were even so helpful as to stop the wildly bucking and firing gun.
As for Alaric, Alaric saw Lark reaching for his bow. In an instant the vampire hunter processed all his possible options. He could reach for the revolver on the inside of his coat. He could fling a stake. In the blink of an eye he assessed the options at his disposal and picked the one most likely to succeed in the present scenario. He charged in and attempted to tackle Lark to the ground before the white haired man could bring the weapon to bear against him. He had one task in his mind-- prevent this man, who was almost certainly involved in the conflict, from escaping, and he meant to do that. Dimly he heard someone yelling in the background, but Alaric highly doubted Lark was going to stop just because someone was saying so. Especially when he had not been immobilized by the shadow tendrils.
