"Hm. Point. Still. Hopefully this ain't like B or C brah," the tailed man replied as he took another plunge into the water, the silver tail the only indicator of his presence.
That comment caught Corrinne's ear. "B or C? Whatever does that mean...?" A Dark Mage got a foot to the face, followed by a sword to the chest as Corrinne continued her clearing of the Stoneborn's former area.
"Back off! I... I'm not afraid of you!" A Flame Shuriken sliced by a Samurai with a Killing Edge, stopping it in its tracks. A strange scroll was on its person...
"Ah, beg pardon, Sir Silas." A shuriken passed by, just about grazing away the top of Silas's hair, landing in the shoulder of the Spear Fighter.
A water-drenched hand then grabbed their table and succeeded in flipping it, sending the two men down into the depths. "Shi-" was all the ninja could muster as they made the plunge.

"I doubt that," the blond said, stepping back from an arrow. "It seems we're almost done here, too."
Silas yelped as he was knocked underwater, swinging his sword at their attacker. It was sluggish, but it still struck.
Jakob gripped his Barb Shuriken, facing down the Samurai that Felicia had struck. "You are excused!" He dashed in, slicing through the Vallite... and grabbing the scroll before it hit the water. "...Now what's this?"
[You got the Bragi Scroll]
Corrin swapped back with Azura, the Songstress impaling a Faceless with her Blessed Lance. "Just a bit more!"

The struck Vallite made a strange sound as it was dissolved, but its objective had nonetheless succeeded.
"I dunno- look out, Jakob!"
Felicia tossed her Flame Shuriken at a not-so-clever Mercenary. At the same time, an arm-turned-lance impaled the unfortunate sword-wielder, followed by Corrinne's kick finally ending it. "I think we're done here," she said, seeing no more enemies...
[Stage Clear?]
Gathering on what appeared to be the largest table, Corrinne took a moment to breathe. "Glad that's finally done..."
But then, a Hero snuck up on her, a blade in hand, ready to stab... "No! Lady Corrinne, look out!!"
But before the maid, butler, or songstress could react, two hands reached out of the water. One hand stabbed the Hero's foot with a shuriken, and with help from the other, proceeded to drag the spectral fighter down below...
"... What just happened?"

With a burst of water, Silas gasped, climbing onto the table with Kaze. "Haah... haah... you alright?"
Corrin blinked. "I feel like I could ask the same to you..." He took the Cavalier and Ninja's hands, pulling them up with a grunt. "Rrgh!"
[Stage Clear!]
Jakob let out a soft breath. "Whew... I suppose everything ends well then. Well fought..."

"That was something else..." Corrinne said. The water level slowly began to lower. "Looks like we're going back to normal..." As the water drained, everything that had been submerged was strangely... unaffected...
"Finally, that's done..." Lobo walked in, just as drenched as Silas and Kaze were. He noted the seven. "I suppose you're... alright. What the hell were those?"
"... You probably wouldn't believe it," Kaze said, completely soaked to the bone.
"Try me. I've seen stuff that would make your grey-haired buddy's hair curl- not that it needs it."
"Okay, then... (I still want chicken)" Corrinne said. "Where do we begin...?"

Corrin sighed softly. "Long story very short, they're soldiers from another world... the invisible ones at least. The ruler of that world wants us dead."
The blond man sat down on a chair in front of the bar, listening intently. "I see..."
Azura nodded. "We were originally going to take the fight to the world they came from but... wound up here."

The tailed man took a seat next to the blond, though not after shaking the water off him. "Where have I heard that one before, brah?"
Corrinne had taken to trying to wring out her hair and cape. "Apparently this place is called Nexus? A man named Alex gave us some information..."
Lobo's eye twitched at the mention of the man's name. "That cunt couldn't handle the wimpiest spirit in my bar. But he's right." Most of those present winced at the angel's language.
"W-Well, we'd stay and help fix your place, but we need to run... We've got friends in danger in the west, apparently..."
"If you go in normally, you'll die of heatstroke. But there's a quicker way." the green-eyed angel looked like he was thinking. "Where was the shortcut again...?"

"If you're talking about the place I think you are, the entrance is two blocks down the street, and down a stairway that a false brick wall blocks; it's slightly off-colored. Tap on the third brick from the bottom four times." The blond spoke up almost immediately. "And if you believe that there's danger in the west, you'd best hurry. I can sense something like a dangerous cloud hanging over this place... I'd wager it's related to your situation since it only happened recently."
Corrin grimaced. "That sounds about right. We'd better hurry..."
Jakob spoke up. "This gentleman is correct about the secret door. I overheard a few folks talking about it when I was working at the hotel a day or so before we rejoined forces. It doesn't seem like it's a very well-known secret, though."
Azura nodded in response. "Yes, we'd best. Apologies again about what happened to this place." She bowed slightly to the angels, before hurrying out the door.
