The music blared obnoxiously from the bar, to the annoyance of the bartender.
"HEY SIS WOULD YOU MIND KEEPING IT DOWN I CAN'T FUCKIN' HEAR SHIT."
And there went another glass containing what was likely the wrong order. Oh well. Then again, dragon piss doesn't exactly grow on trees. Lobo shook his fist at the DJ, Loba's ever-present coprophagous smile on her face.
"Nah. I like watching you squirm. Though I did give the new girl about 99 percent sonic immunity for now."
---
Corrinne just glanced up, wincing from the sheer loudness. "Well... the maps said this was a good place to gather information... And it was in just about every magazine, too..."
Kaze was cringing from the loudness, his sensitive hearing not exactly appreciating ear-splitting volumes. "I would assume so..."
Felicia seemed to be handling the noise the best. "Well... We won't know until we try... C'mon, let's go."

Needless to say, Azura was not very amused by the type of music that this place played. Hardly elegant most of the time. Of course, the sound was making it difficult for her to even talk to anyone; she had, after a brief moment of panic resulting from realizing they weren't in Valla, steeled herself and decided to find the others.
...Much easier said than done. Still, she made her way through part of the bar, looking to talk to a few patrons.
Outside, Corrin grit his teeth. "Let's try and make this quick. I don't want to go deaf."
"What?" Silas had responded, putting a hand to his ear...
"...I can't tell if you did that on purpose or not."
"Maybe a bit of both, Lord Corrin," Jakob said, heading towards the door and opening it. "Let's go."

As the door was opened, the already-obnoxious music in the bar grew even louder, forcing the new arrivals to wince, block their ears, or do both.
"Ow! How can anyone think of this as music?!" Fortunately, Corrinne's rude comment was drowned out in the din of the club.
"Apparently, this kind of music is common around here, Lady Corrinne... Jakob and I heard similar in the hotel," Felicia responded. She and the butler were not quite as affected as the rest, but her frown made her distaste for the music clear. A flash of blue caught her eye, however... "Hey, that looked kind of like..."
There was a collective groan as the music changed. "It's even more obnoxious with lyrics," Kaze stated without regard for his usual politeness. Still, he spotted the flash of blue. "... Is that- I wonder..."

Silas just shook his head, gritting his teeth slightly. "This is ridiculous... at least it can't get any worse..."
Jakob just sighed as the song changed again. "You just had to say something, didn't you, Silas?"
Azura, meanwhile, groaned. She was going to have to track down a private place to cleanse her musical palate after this...
Corrin saw the flash of blue heading towards the lounge part of the club. "That's... I think it's Azura!" He tried to shout for her, but the song drowned his voice out. "Oh, Gods damn it!"
Silas glanced at Kaze. "Can you believe this music?"

"We need to get to her- let's try not to get separated in the crowd..." Corrinne responded, beginning to pick up her pace. Several people were shoved by the manakete, which resulted in her being shoved back. "Move it! I have two left feet, so move!"
"I don't think we need to get this rough- whoa- no, please, I'm trying to get through, hey!"
The maid was swallowed up in the crowd with the butler. "Jakob, maybe this was a bad ide-"
"Hey maidy, you wann' have some fun later?" A drunken man swaggered up to the pair. She was naive, yes, but even Felicia could tell that this person had some less-than-clean intentions...
"Back off!" Out came the Flame Shuriken.
Meanwhile, a duo with green and grey hair had been stuck at the back.
"... No, I can believe in people getting sick." Clearly, the loudness of the bar was messing with Kaze's hearing. Unfortunately, this allowed several individuals, men and women, human and nonhuman, to sneak up on the pair without issue,

Jakob frowned very intensely at the drunken man. "I strongly suggest you take her advice, sir."
Corrin had fairly quietly tried to follow Corrinne through the crowd, though a large man ended up getting in his way, separating the manaketes. "Oh, damn it!"
"Huh?" Silas grimaced. "Something about a click? No, I didn't hear anything like that..."
"...Okay, this song's got a nice beat..." The cavalier's foot was tapping just a bit as they tried to make their way through the crowd...
Azura, meanwhile, had managed to slip into the lounge area, taking a breath as the sound quieted down some more, resting on a couch there.

"An' what if I do- AUGH!"
That earned him a surprisingly hard punch from Felicia. "Sorry about that, but I'd rather not bloody my weapon unless I have to..." Rubbing her fist, she seemed surprised at the force behind her punch. "Sorry..."
"I don't recall seeing any bricks. I will agree, though." The ninja seemed to be moving in time to the beat of the song. "It is a catchy song."
Instead of the usual obnoxious dance music of the main bar, the lounge played instead jazz music.
Corrinne, having somehow shoved her way through the dance floor, made her way into the lounge. She stopped and bobbed her head a bit to the music. "Not what I'm used to, but... This one's honestly not too bad..."
She then recalled what she was here for. "Azura? Is that you?"

Jakob just chuckled. "He'll live. Probably. Let's go, I saw Lady Corrinne head through that door." Jakob half-yanked Felicia off the dance floor towards the lounge entrance.
Silas was getting a bit distracted, mumbling something a bit as he made his way across, following Corrin, who had managed to get away from the crowd. "There's Corrin. Let's go!" He gestured, trying to get through a gap in the crowd.
Corrin went through the door as the song started to finish and another started to play in the lounge.
"...I like this song..." He shook his head slightly. "A-Azura?"
Azura gasped slightly. "Corrinne? Corrin! Thank goodness... I was hoping I would find you soon..." She smiled brightly, though small a smile it was.

"I'm just glad we found another familiar face," Corrinne said with a grin, taking a seat next to Azura. "And we've got a lot of catching up to do... You won't believe what we've seen in just the last hours..."
"... Ah-ha." Fortunately, even if he misheard what Silas was saying, he couldn't exactly misinterpret a hand gesture. The ninja and cavalier made their way towards the lounge, slipping through the door.
"Wh-Whoa there, Jakob! I haven't even made you dinner yet..." Felicia said that with a slight smile. Clearly, the environment was somewhat contagious. That, or she's just easily influenced.
When the other four slipped in, this drew the attention of the three royals. "Ah, sorry, I thought you were all right behind."
"... It's fine." Kaze acknowledged Azura with a nod and a slight bow. "Lady Azura, words cannot express my relief that you are unharmed."
"Nice to see you again, Princess," said Felicia with a happy expression.

Jakob just rolled his eyes. "With all due respect, Felicia... you wish. Come now."
Corrin took a seat next to Azura as well. "You have no idea how glad I am to see you again. It's been nuts since we've arrived here... wherever here is. It's clear it's not you-know-where..."
Azura nodded, waving to the other four as they came in. "Thank you all. It's a great relief to me to see you all as well.. and yes, Corrin, it's not. I'm not sure what brought us here... after all, I've been to that place many times before this..."

"My brother and I can confirm this... According to what we've heard, this place is called... Nexus, apparently?" Corrinne shook her head. "Such a strange name. Anyways, my brother and I were attacked in a graveyard, and a man named Robin saved us... He's like a nicer version of Leo, really..."
Felicia continued the story. "Jakob and I landed together. He really took charge, got us employed at the hotel! We followed Lord Corrin and Lady Corrinne into a forest, but... We did lose track of them for a bit..."
Kaze nodded. "Sir Silas and myself had landed in the forest ourselves. We ran into each other, and later into Lord Corrin, Lady Corrinne, Felicia, and Jakob. My memory's a bit foggy around this point, unfortunately..."

Corrin spoke up as Azura seemed to mull over the information. "This place... the curse is weaker here. It hurts to say it, but... it won't dissolve you. The soldiers are here too, but... they seemed disorganized when they tried to attack us."
Silas nodded. "They're using unusual weapons, though... I got burned by a tome's magic... Kaze got put to sleep. As for the others..."
Azura opened her eyes. "They're not around here, I'm guessing. That's not good... if Anankos gets a better foothold in Nexus... well, we'll be in trouble. As it is, we're on fairly equal ground... we need to find the others."
"I agree," Jakob said. "We've gotten a better idea of what this place is like in terms of landscape..."

"While we're on the subject of the landscape, that reminds me of something Scarlet said..." Corrinne said, looking deep in thought.
Noting Azura's questioning look, the manakete princess elaborated. "We... We found Scarlet... She's barely alive, but..."
"... I'm sure it'd be good if Scarlet knew you were also around. She's... in a hospital in this city... She was barely breathing, and she seemed out of it for the most part... But then, she tightly grasped my brother's hand, and she screamed out something. Perfectly lucidly, mind you. Something about the west... And that those around there are in danger." She gripped one of her own hands. "We went looking for more information on the west, so we went here..."
"Lady Azura, by any chance, you haven't seen anybody else, have you?" Felicia asked, although everybody else in the room probably knew and dreaded the answer.

Azura stiffened. "...No. I'm sorry, but you are the first of our group that I've encountered since arriving here..."
The Songstress stood up. "But if there's someone in danger in the west... we'd best move quickly. Anankos won't wait for us to try to recover before making his move." when she opened her eyes again, there was a steely determination in her eyes. "Scarlet was... in the hospital, you said? I'd like to see her at some point, but... for now, I don't think we can afford to waste time. I have my Blessed Lance with me, still. My strength is yours, as always."
Corrin stood up as well, frowning and nodding. "...I'm glad, Azura. Thank you."

"You're right. We need to get moving." Corrinne stood up. "I'm glad we found you at least. You're the one who wasn't afraid to make harsh decis-"
She was cut off by the sound of many windows breaking, and a voice yelling outside the lounge.
"OH GOD FUCKING DAMMIT, FIRST THAT SEEKER PUNK SHOOTS UP MY PLACE, NOW WHATEVER THE FUCK THIS IS, SISTER GET READY, THIS IS THE ONE NIGHT OUR SECURITY IS ALL OFF!!!"
"Okay." The second voice was feminine, and much quieter.
"... I have every right to believe that's exactly what I think it is." Corrinne said with a groan. People could be heard panicking outside.
"Let's go. We can't get to the west with those soldiers on us," Kaze said, drawing his Steel Shuriken.
"We're ready when you are, milord, miladies," Felicia replied, once again drawing the Flame Shuriken.
