"See... relationships? Crushes?" The idea of that kind of power was hard to wrap her mind around in and of itself, but once again, Ladybug started to get nervous. Did that mean he could see her crush on him? Well, probably, given that it was so blindingly obvious!
No... Stay calm... You have work to do...
After lightly hitting herself on the forehead a few times, Ladybug looked back up at Adrien, nodding at his mention of Escapist. "Hawk Moth's latest akumatized victim. He's been making everyone in your school disappear, going on and on about wanting to be left alone. I'm worried he even got to Chat Noir. I fought him for quite a while and he hadn't shown up in that time."

Adrien sits there in silence for a moment before slowly nodding. "Yeah, I was brought here with him." He looks around, feigning concern. "I haven't actually seen him since he ran off. I don't know where he is, right now."
"It's an illusion." The girl giggles brightly, patting his hand reassuringly. "Everyone only sees your human self. Well, except for me and your friend." She frowns a bit. "I have to keep it in mind, but it should be easier on you, right?" She turns to head back to the others but pauses, looking back at him and pointing at her head. "The stuff on top of your head is hair, by the way. Just so you know."

"O-Oh...!" Disquietude was greatly taken aback by this explanation, staring at his clawed hand in mystification. He might not have been able to see it for himself, but... everyone else still saw his human disguise? And he didn't have to constantly focus to stay like that? "That... actually is very helpful! Thank you!"
He then put his hand on his head and blinked, gently fondling one of his antennae. "Oh, okay... Like... all the time or just when I'm human? Because I don't think I have these when I'm human..."
As he followed Sky back over to where Adrien and Ladybug were talking, Disquietude remained oblivious to the diamond-skinned girl still watching him from the other side of the theater doors, typing away on her phone with narrow eyes.

"I don't suppose you've seen anyone else from school around here either..." Ladybug worriedly mused. She could only hope that everyone Escapist transported away was sent to the same place, but she could at least take comfort in knowing that Chat Noir was somewhere in this city. Maybe he was trying to get back to Paris himself.
She quickly decided on a course of action: Figure out who else was here, make sure they're safe, then find a way home. The sooner she got back to Paris, the sooner she could capture Escapist's akuma and undo everything he'd done. Everyone would surely be put back in their proper place then.
However...
"You said that getting home would be difficult. What makes you say that? Do you know where we are?"
Considering everything she had seen thus far, she was already starting to imagine the worst case scenario.

"I just... don't know how to get home, that's all." He shrugs, turning to look at the two approaching them. His eyes widen and he fishes out the umbrella and hands it to him. "What are you doing? What if the sun had been out, just then?"
"...I'll admit, I hadn't thought of that," Sky grimaces, looking at their friend apologetically.

"Oh. Whoops..." Disquietude hastily swiped the umbrella from Adrien and opened it, shielding himself from the light in a mild fit of panic. "I-I forgot about that... Thanks..."
He wasn't sure why he hadn't thought about that, to be honest. Avoiding bright light was sort of a no-brainer to Præt'nos, and though Sky's illusion might've made it seem otherwise, he no longer had the protection his human shell offered. Maybe he was just so impressed with her skill that it slipped his mind. Maybe he was anxious to reunite with Adrien.
Or maybe he just felt... comfortable here. Enough to forget that light was debilitating. Was that possible?

The sun...? So this was the guy who manipulated that shadow? Did his powers make him vulnerable to sunlight too? She supposed that made sense, but still, Ladybug could tell there was something... off about him.
"So this is... Dis? Is that what you said earlier?" Ladybug nodded to the two. "Nice to meet you guys. The name's Ladybug."
She then turned to Adrien again. "I'm really sorry to cut this short, but if you feel comfortable sticking around here, I think I should look around for other familiar faces and a way to get back home."

The man blinks, thinking for a bit. "Maybe it'd be better if we stay together? Just saying, it might make it harder to find each other again, if you do find a way to get back." He gives a sheepish grin before turning back to the pony girl. "You have a spare seat on the other side, right? Maybe she could sit there."
Sky raises an eyebrow, unamused. "It feels like there may be other reasons for that invitation."
"I have no idea what you're talking about." He smiles warmly before looking to Disquietude. "Think we have time to get back to our seats before the next movie starts?"

"Nice to... meet you too..." Disquietude murmured hesitantly. She seemed nice, at least, now that she wasn't threatening him, and he believed he could trust her seeing as how Adrien trusted her. It was weird that she was looking at his midsection while talking to him, but he at least understood why; from Ladybug's perspective, he was a lot taller than he looked.
Still, he couldn't help but cringe when Adrien suggested she join them. He had grown more or less fond of Sky, but having Ladybug around just felt... awkward. "Well, she... I-It sounds like she was in the middle of something important... right?"

"You... You want me to... join you?" Try as she might, Ladybug couldn't stop herself from blushing. "Oh, I-I couldn't, I...! I have to make sure everyone's okay. A-And Escapist is probably still causing trouble back home! Besides, once everything's turned back to normal, you should be sent back to Paris too..."
It seemed like her words were hurting her to say.
"I-I appreciate the thought, Adrien, I really do, but everything's... a little crazy right now. And..." A sigh. "He's right. I do still have work to do. But... if you're okay with me taking off now, I promise to catch up with you as soon as I possibly can."

"Oh, I see." He sighs quietly, then shrugs a bit. "I guess you're right about that. And it wouldn't be right to keep you from your duty." He pauses, thinking for a moment. "...though if you see my friends, could you let them know where I am? I really miss them."
Sky gently pats Disquietude's hand, trying to comfort him without giving away his current state of mind to the superhero.

Well, shoot. Now Disquietude felt even worse. Ladybug and Adrien clearly wanted to stick together, and here he was trying to shoo her off. He wanted to believe it wasn't coming off like that, but he still couldn't help but imagine that it was. As much as he wanted to return to quality time, seeing Adrien this upset was disheartening.
"H-Hey, it's not that bad, right?" he quickly attempted to rebound. "Once you've... finished up your work, you'll see each other again, won't you?"

"Absolutely. If I find any familiar faces, I'll have them meet you right out here after your movie," Ladybug responded to Adrien. She was anxious to find her own friends, after all. She then nodded to Disquietude and Sky. "Yeah. We can definitely catch up soon enough. In the meantime, it looks to me like you're in good hands."
As she prepared to take off, Ladybug finished by saying, "Everything will be set right soon! I promise!"
She then flung her yo-yo up and out, its string wrapping around a street light and allowing her to swing off into the city. Off to search for friends, a way home, and an answer as to where exactly they were.
If nothing else, and with any luck, she was sure she would at least find Marinette.

Adrien sighs, then looks to his friend, a small smile on his lips. "You're right. Why worry about them?" He pauses a moment before awkwardly holding up a hand. "I mean that I'm sure they're safe. Ladybug is looking for them, and she can handle herself." He looks up at the sky, then frowns a bit. "...how much longer before the next movie?"
Sky pulls out her scroll to check the time. "About ten minutes."
"We'd better hurry back inside, then." He nods, then hurries into the theater, pausing a moment to pat Disquietude on the hand gratefully.

"Y... Yeah..." Disquietude's ears folded back behind his head as he shot Adrien a meek little smile. Things might've been uncertain, but they could only get better from there, right? At least there was the possibility of Ladybug bringing back good news for him; that would certainly cheer him up.
Until then... Disquietude would just have to try his best to keep Adrien's spirits up.
