Jakob nodded. "Thankfully. Stick close to Lady Azura so her power can heal you. I think that Felicia and I ought save our uses of our staves."
His Barb Shuriken struck into the throat of the Samurai as Corrin went in to finish off the Archer. "Hragh!"
The manakete shook his head. "This is ridiculous..."

"I'll make this quick..."
Jumping as much as the low ceiling would allow him, Kaze threw a shuriken into the skull of the Fighter charging after him. Although it was not enough force to fell the axe-wielder, it stunned the spectral warrior long enough for Corrinne to dissolve it with a swing of her Yato.
"Good grief... Is this the end? I sure hope so..." Corrinne asked out loud as they went down the next flight of stairs, trying to stay close to Azura...
Where two Shrine Maidens, one with a strange staff, greeted them. Behind them were an Oni Savage, a pair of Mercenaries close together, an Archer, and a Dark Mage.

"I don't like that staff... I really hope it's something just annoying-"
A steel shuriken flew by the manakete princess, aiming for the Shrine Maiden with the strange staff, but the Oni Savage jumped in, blocking the attack with its club.

Corrin frowned intensely as he stared down the Oni Savage. "I don't like the looks of that staff..."
Silas drew his sword, readying his stance as the Archer fired at him, evading the arrow. "Gah! That was close... be careful!"
The Shrine Maiden raised the odd staff, before pointing it at Kaze, a bluish mist hovering over his position.

The bluish mist descended on the green-haired ninja, who, while technically avoiding the attack, had inhaled the strange mist anyways, resulting in...
"Oh, dammit. I think Anankos knows Kaze fell asleep easily once." Corrinne glanced at the dozing ninja, before walking over to him. "I'll just put him in the corner for now. We can wake him up later..." With that, the white-haired princess, sweatdropping, began dragging Kaze, face in the ground, into the nearest corner.
A blast of cold air followed them, and while Felicia did bury her Flame Shuriken in the Dark Mage's neck, it did reach Corrinne, who instinctively tries to block the brunt of it... With poor Kaze. At this, the dozing Ninja twitched and made a strange sound... but continued sleeping.

Jakob just sighed slightly. "Do try not to get Kaze killed, Lady Corrinne..." Jakob's Barb Shuriken struck a Mercenary, and Silas' followup strike felled the swordfighter. Corrin went in, dueling the Oni Savage, his bladework coming out on top. "Almost there..."
It didn't take much longer for them to clean up the rest after the Savage fell, and after Kaze awoke again, the group went down...

Everyone was on edge as their opponents began to appear...
Suddenly, the room was filled with the sound of flapping wings, five Sky Knights in front of them... having difficulty maneuvering.

"Looks like the close quarters is actually going to work to our advantage," Corrinne said. "Look- they have to put in effort not to smack each other, and they can't exactly fly away from our attacks." She jumped back, before making a jumping slice towards one, instantly dissolving it "Looks like they're as fragile as ever, too."
A pair of shuriken was enough to fell a second. "It looks as though we're getting a breather, huh? We could probably do this with our eyes closed!"
That earned her a quick look from Kaze. "Let's keep our eyes open, shall we? I don't think the next floor will be nearly as simple as you say."

Jakob threw another Shuriken, Silas' lance strike finishing the job. "Kaze is right, I'm sure. Stay alert."
Going down...
[Pit of 100 Trials, Floor 9]
The area was dark, and nobody could see their incoming opponents right away... Azura suddenly ducked under an incoming shuriken. "Everybody, watch out!"

"Wait, wh- ninja?" Corrinne ducked, as did Felicia, resulting in the shuriken hitting... Kaze. Who seemed completely unharmed aside from the inital wince.
NO DAMAGE!
"Kaze, are you, uh... feeling alright?"
"Aside from the initial hit... strangely, yes."
Seven figures could be seen in the darkness, all appearing to be ninja. Corrinne couldn't help but laugh. "I think this one's an actual breather! I mean, they couldn't do much to Kaze, so what's the big threat?"

Azura stood back up, holding her Blessed Lance...
She yelped as another Shuriken struck her, but it barely left a small cut. "...Goodness. This is... surprising."
'But not unwelcome," Corrin responded, starting towards the Ninja with Yato drawn. "Let's go!"

"Yarrgh!! This is payback for Mokushu!" Corrinne charged into the mass of ninja, thankful for Shurikenbreaker's presence. One ninja was swatted, its shuriken burying itself in her long hair before it died. Aside from the immediate discomfort, she paid it no heed.
"Oof..." Felicia had responded the way Kaze did earlier, except slightly breaking into a grin. "You can't break me this time- but I can break YOU!" With that, a Flame Shuriken found a new home in one of the ninja's skull.
Kaze seemed to be thinking... Before noticing that as they fought, several shuriken had entered the bodies of his comrades, but seemingly nothing had happened... Before he grimaced, feeling his own injuries... Something wasn't quite right, he thought, as he threw a Steel Shuriken into the darkness.
The sound it made, or the lack thereof, suggested that something was hiding in there...

Azura had, not particularly wanting to get cut again, stayed back by Kaze. "...Is something the matter, Kaze?"
Silas thrust his lance through the chest of another Ninja, the Vallite dissipating with the strike. "This is too easy..."

"There's something hiding in this room, Lady Azura... Something far stronger than the lowly ninja we have fought so far... Hmm..." He briefly placed a shuriken on the tip of Azura's torch, before throwing the hot projectile into the darkness.
A light illuminated a figure. Kaze felt his chest tighten. "It's a Master Ninja. It's been hiding all this time... The other ninja were just weakening us...!"

"Hmm?" Corrinne had just pulled Yato out of a ninja's chest, and couldn't help but overhear. "What are you talking ab- augh?!"
A Silver Shuriken passed by the Manakete princess, and had it not been for the bonuses from Shurikenbreaker, that could have gotten real ugly, real fast...

"Sister!" Corrin cursed, stepping back slightly. "Everyone form back up! Azura, we need your healing..."
"Of course," Azura nodded, singing softly as her power began to heal those around her.
Silas stood in front with his lance at the ready. "Stay behind me!"

The remaining ninja seemed to be shielding the promoted one, only moving to dodge its shuriken.
The healing aura came over the group...

"We need to get rid of the ordinary ninja first. Otherwise we'll never get at the master ninja," Kaze said, looking for an opening...
"I have Shurikenbreaker. I could handle it with some help from Silas," Corrinne replied, waiting for a chance.
"Sounds like a plan. Shall w- augh?!"
A silver shuriken buried itself into Kaze's shoulder, causing the green-haired man to recoil.

"I really wish we had an archer with us..." Corrin grimaced slightly as he evaded a shuriken hurled his way. "I hope the others are alright..."
"We can worry about that after we get out of this, Corrin." Silas nodded, before slipping into position with Corrinne. "Let's go!"
Azura sang her song to energize the pair, and Jakob hurled his shuriken to try and get some headway on the Ninja guarding the Master Ninja.
