Physical Description
Lucien is a fairly average-looking, if awkwardly tall and lanky, teenager. He has pale skin, bright hazel eyes, and messy, near-shoulder-length black hair. He typically wears a black tee-shirt with a dragon on it, a red zip-up hoodie, jeans and black tennis shoes.
As Escapist, he acquires a deathly pallor and black markings around his eyes; he wears a black bodysuit with symmetrical white markings along the arms and legs that connect to a swirl emblem on the chest, black gloves, black boots, and a black cape, the hood of which seems to obscure most of his face.
Weapons and Accessories
While he doesn't ordinarily use weapons, Lucien is almost never without his sketch pad and pencils.
As Escapist, his Akumatized pencil acts as the source of his power, with which he can open portals.
Abilities/Powers
In his normal state, Lucien has no unique powers.
However, when he is Akumatized, he is stronger, faster, more agile, and gains the power to teleport and create portals using his pencil. The pencil end allows him to open portals between any points in space, while the eraser end can send anyone and anything to another plane of existence with a single swipe.
Weaknesses
Lucien is not especially athletic and can freak out very easily when things go wrong.
Once his pencil is broken, he will lose his powers and memory of his time as Escapist.
Skills
Lucien is an incredibly gifted artist and has a passion for storytelling. He's proficient with paints, pens and markers, but pencils are his preference, using them to draw comics and create fictitious creatures and characters. He also has extensive knowledge of numerous works of fiction, and his knowledge of sci-fi and fantasy tropes make him a great strategist and researcher when it comes to supernatural phenomena. He's also an excellent singer; just don't ask him to do it in public.
Personality
Lucien, while kind and generally easy to get along with, is an introvert with a great deal of social anxiety. He is uncomfortable in large crowds and unfamiliar environments, to the point of becoming downright neurotic in chaotic situations, and mostly prefers to keep to himself. He typically doesn't like to try new things and is content with his own interests and routines, but if something catches his attention, he is on board with it a hundred and ten percent, giving it his all and never stopping until he is satisfied with his work. He might not be the most approachable or sociable kid, but Lucien really is a true friend once you get to know him.
As Escapist, his personality is largely the same, but his yearning for solitude has amplified into a frantic need to rid himself of anyone and anything he finds bothersome or disconcerting, and his desire for perfection drives him to carry out his task to the letter. He's still easy to panic when crap hits the fan, though.
History
Lucien was once a normal kid living in a small town in France. Growing up, he had a passion for action, fantasy and horror, and would spend his days alone drawing comics and writing stories about mythical creatures and superheroes. He had heard tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir's exploits through news stories and blogs, excitedly believing he would have a chance to see them in action when his mother got a job working for the Gabriel fashion line, for which their family had to move to Paris.
Despite his optimism, Lucien was scared out of his mind at the prospect of living in the capital and found himself overwhelmed on his first day at Collège Françoise Dupont, whether it be from the sheer size of the school and student body, the people constantly trying to get to know him or offer him help, or bullies harassing him for his awkward behavior. His social anxiety and desire to be left alone quickly got the better of him, and in his frustration, he became a target for Hawk Moth, who used an Akuma to transform Lucien into Escapist. With his newfound powers, he started opening portals to make everyone around him disappear, attracting Ladybug and Chat Noir's attention. However, he quickly rid himself of them by sending first Chat Noir, then Ladybug to another dimension. Of course, Hawk Moth was quick to remind him that he had sent the Miraculouses away with them, and at the threat of losing his powers, he has been forced to follow and retrieve them...
