"Okay, is it me, or does it feel colder all of a sudden?" Corrinne felt her skin rise in goosebumps under her armour and clothing. "Not by much, and maybe it's just me, but..."
"I don't really notice a change, Lady Corrinne. Then again, I don't really notice cold to begin with..." Indeed, if there was a decrease in temperature, Felicia didn't show any signs of being bothered.
"It isn't just you, Lady Corrinne. It did get colder," Kaze replied. Maybe it was partially from the cold sword down his shirt from mere minutes ago, but the ninja felt a slight chill.
"This is a long shortcut, though," Felicia said. "Hopefully we're not going the wrong way..."
---
"Hey, brah." The tailed man sat on a crate, taking a break from the moving. "Doesn't the sewer shortcut to the West also lead to... well, y'know, there?"

Corrin shivered slightly, drawing his cape towards himself a bit. "Kaze's right... I can feel the chill. What's going on...?"
Silas shook his head. "I'm not sure. I'm with Felicia, though; I hope we're not going the wrong way..."
"There isn't much we can do but keep going forward, though," Jakob said. "I suppose all we can do is have faith." ---
The blond turned in response to his companion's question "Well, yes, it does, but... the paths are clearly marked. As far as I know, they should be engraved into the walls... unless..."
His eyes widened slightly. "...Damn it. I know they'd started eroding and they'd put replacement signs up... you don't think...?"

"Let's just have faith that this will lead us to where we're supposed to be, and not..." Corrinne cut herself off, shuddering. "Nevermind. Kaze, any signs of life... Or anything moving, for that matter?"
There was a pause as the ninja took in the silence... Trying to pick up any noise...
"I'm not sure how I missed this, but... It sounds like wyvern riders." The ninja raised an eyebrow. "Doesn't seem very smart. They sound completely cramped in there..."
"Cramped or not, I'm not exactly fit to mess with wyverns..." Felicia seemed to be taking a backrow position.
"I'd say fight wyvern with dragon, but I'm not sure if we'll fit in here either... best not to keep it waiting, though..."

"Eh. Coin toss says they're fine." A quarter was flipped, and Arti checked the results. "The coin says they're fine."

"Right. I'll take point. Silas, back me up."
"Roger." Corrin stepped forward, drawing Yato, with Silas standing beside him. "Here we go..."
Indeed, the room had several Wyvern Riders, but they were struggling to move in the cramped space.
"Stay close!" Corrin grasped his blade tightly, shifting his stance.

One wyvern managed to break free of the cramped surroundings, and its rider raised its axe, aiming for Corrin... Although the small space kept it from being as quick as it normally would.
A second wyvern, taking advantage of the increase in space, made a lunge for Corrinne instead, who seemed to be thinking...
"Not even close!" The white-haired woman jumped to the side as it flew at her, which resulted in...
Felicia cringed a bit at the results. Kaze showed no reaction. The wyvern's head found itself embedded in the soft earth of the wall, struggling to free itself.
"Well, there's another reason to never bring wings underground..."

Corrin jumped backwards to evade the axe strike, countering with a powerful blow that knocked the rider off cleanly, dissolving before they even hit the ground. "Simple... let's get through this quickly."
Silas nodded, following up with an attack on another wyvern rider who hadn't attacked yet.

As a wyvern struggled to get its head out of the wall, Felica and Kaze teamed up to attack the immobilized rider, its body dissolving with a pair of well-aimed shuriken. "Doesn't look like there's many..."
Indeed, two of the riders were already down, and a third fell to Silas's sword swing. "Let's get this over with." Corrinne jumped and dodged a second wyvern, once again leading to the creature becoming stuck in the wall.

Corrin's blade flashed out and the rider and its mount dissolved. "Indeed. That wasn't so bad... let's keep moving."

An arrow whizzed by Corrin's head as the group reached the next room, and the manakete immediately ducked down. "Archers! Look out!"

"Only good thing about archers-" A roll to the side lead to a side swing and a kick. "Helpless when up close."
As Felicia tried to take aim, she was forced to cancel and dodge an arrow. The arrow... hit Kaze as he threw his own shuriken, wincing.
"Kaze, are you okay? And is it poison?"
"I will be fine... And thankfully, it's not."

Silas stepped in front of the dagger-wielders, holding his sword up defensively. "Stick close; I'll try to keep you covered."
As he did so, Corrin evaded another arrow, taking out its shooter, though he grunted as another arrow struck his shoulder, mostly stopped thanks to his armor. "Urgh... I suppose I should be thankful these archers don't appear to be too powerful..."

Corrinne gave a nod in agreement, slashing through the archer Kaze had hit. "I hope we don't eat our words. C'mon, the faster we can get through this, the faster we can help out whoever's in the west!"
Two shuriken, one steel and one flame, found a new home in an archer's head, although it remained standing. "Not enough..."

"There!" Jakob's shuriken struck home, felling the archer. "Whew... keep alert. I suspect our trials have just begun..."
Corrin sighed. "I really hope that this goes smoothly..."

"Well... floor thirteen of how many until we get there... Gods, I have a bad feeling about this one." Corrinne shuddered at the thought.
Waiting for them on the next floor was... several Fighters, all carrying a rather dangerous-looking axe. Corrinne went paler than she already was. "I don't like the looks of those weapons..."

Corrin grimaced, looking the weapon over. "...That axe looks absolutely devilish..."
Silas stepped forward, holding his sword tightly. "Stay behind me. I'll try and cover you."
The fighters moved in, and Silas' blade struck home, though it failed to fully take down the Fighter. The axe struck the Paladin, cleaving into his armor. "AUGH!" Silas screamed out in pain as he stumbled backwards. "Augh, ow! Those... those axes are really powerful..."
"Jakob!" Corrin looked at the Butler, who nodded, hurrying over to heal up the Paladin, still trying to keep Silas between himself and the Fighters.
"There we go..."

"You four should probably stay to the backlines... I wouldn't be surprised if that axe could kill any of you in one hit..." Corrinne sheathed her Yato and pulled out her Dragonstone. Cramped or not, defence would likely be more useful than bulk in this particular room.
"And we're not exactly eager to find out, Lady Corrinne! Ah- There comes one now!" Felicia said, pointing out their attacker.
Right as the white-haired woman finished her transformation, a Fighter dug its axe into the dragon's hide, causing it to recoil in pain, lashing out with its claws in retaliation, knocking the axe-wielder back a few steps. If she had a mouth, she would have frowned, noting the damage done, and her horns just barely missing the ceiling. "Augh... Let's not do that again. Felicia, Kaze, if you will?"
"R-Right!"
"Of course."
A pair of shuriken, steel and flame, buried themselves into the damaged fighter, causing its body to dissolve, leaving the evil-looking axe behind.
