Blendigo gave a cheerful little giggle. "OF COURSE, OF COURSE! AFTER ALL, THERE MAY BE AN IMPORTANT, FORGOTTEN PIECE OF INFORMATION IN THE VERY BEGINNING!"
He gave a light cough upon their reaching the entrance, letting Beth take lead.

"First off, I must give the standard commentary of please do not touch the displays. They do have sensors that can be set off if blocked.... I may have set of several when helping restore a few items or installing exhibits...."
Mal snickered.
"I will say however there are a few that exhibits that are in operation and we may get to see how they work today," Beth added. "Note all artifacts here are usually replicas of ones from other worlds, I will heavily encourage those whom join us to talk about the items of exhibits showing their home."
"So how many times did you set off the alarms?"
"26." Beth was curt and quick with her answer.

"AND, MOST FORTUNATELY, WE HAVE A WELL KNOWN PIECE HERE!" Papyrus smiled. "BEHOLD, THE POWER-UPS OF THE MUSHROOM WORLD!"
An exhibit with a mushroom, flower and star stood in front of them. "THEY MAY LOOK LIKE PLUSH TOYS, BUT THESE ITEMS ARE QUITE POWERFUL INDEED!"
Blendigo nodded, taking in every word.

"Thankfully the items are behind glass and it is well sealed. Not to mention of you look to the left and right of the case, there are two large pots. These hold what are called Piranha Plants. And trust me.... they are a pain in the tuchus when they want to bite..." Beth added.
"So what does each of these power ups do?" Mal asked.

Before an answer could be given...
"THERE YOU TWO ARE!"
A small, bipedal, silver-furred, werewolf-like child dashed down the hall towards the group, looking borderline irritated but mostly nervous. "C'mon, Papyrus! I turn my back for a minute to find a bathroom and you run off on-"
He skidded to a halt, ears perked and green eyes wide with surprise when he noticed the two newcomers accompanying Papyrus and Beth. One a purple-haired, teenage human girl, the other an antlered skeleton monster.
"Oh..." In a hasty scramble, the wolf pup straightened up into an overdramatic stance and took on an equally overdramatic tone, anxious to make a good first impression. "Oh, w-well, hello there, citizens! Pleasure to meet you! So nice of you to join my companions and I on our museum tour."

Papyrus got shifty eyed. He didn't have the heart to tell him that Beth convinced him to follow her while he used the restroom.
"Hello there!" Blendigo smiled, waving. "You're a very fluffy fella! What brings you here?"
"WHY, HE'S WITH ME!" Papyrus laughed. "QUITE ENERGETIC, ISN'T HE? NOW, WERE WE SOMEWHERE...? OH, WHAT THE POWER-UPS DO! WELL, I KNOW THIS LITTLE FLOWER HERE CAN GRANT FIRE POWERS."

"Papyrus got over excited about a new exhibit, Roman. Nothing to worry about," Beth offered. It was a half truth.
Mal was watching Papyrus before looking to the new arrival.
"And the leaf grants you what is called a Tanuki suit. The large bell I believe makes you into a cat. And I am rather glad they don't have the mushrooms," the older woman offered.

"Well, no matter," Roman insisted, boldly striding over to the group. "With my keen tracking skills, I would have found you again eventually. Like... I... did just now."
Yes, it was a bluff. A very obvious one at that. But it was the kind of bluff one would expect from a child, naively attempting to overcompensate.
The wolf monster pup placed his paws on his hips and smiled back and forth at Blendigo and Mal. "The Mighty Roman, at your service. And who might the two of you be?"

"You mean the fiery horse?"

"Pleasure to make your acquaintance!" Roman chimed as he shook Blendigo's hand. "Any friend of Papyrus is a friend of mine."
Roman then turned to face the exhibit, tapping his chin and nodding inquisitively as he listened to the others' descriptions. "Hmm... Very interesting." Of course, it was clear from his actions and tone that he had no idea what he was looking at and was just trying to act like he did.
