Marinette is a fairly average-looking, French-Chinese girl, standing at a normal height with a thin frame. She has pale skin, bluebell eyes, and black hair with a blue shine tied in two pigtails. Her usual outfit consists of a white t-shirt with black stitching and a pink flower design, a dark gray blazer with rolled up sleeves and a pink polka dot interior, rolled-up pink pants, pink flats, and her earrings, which usually appear black.
As Ladybug, her earrings turn red with five black spots each, and she wears a skintight red bodysuit with a black collar and spots, a red mask with five black spots, and red ribbons around her pigtails. Most of the pieces of her costume cannot be removed by ordinary means. She keeps her yo-yo wrapped around her waist when not in use.
Weapons and Accessories
Marinette almost always carries her pink purse with her; Tikki usually hides in it. And of course, she's always equipped with the Ladybug Miraculous, her earrings.
Ladybug's main tool of trade is her yo-yo, which she can use as a grappling hook, rope, projectile, shield, phone, and tracking device. It can also be used to capture and purify akumas.
Abilities/Powers
Ladybug possesses enhanced strength, speed and agility, and is nearly invulnerable to physical damage. Her special power, Lucky Charm, summons a seemingly random object that can be used to achieve her goal. Her secondary power, Miraculous Ladybug, transforms the aforementioned object into an energy wave that undoes all the damage caused by the villain.
Weaknesses
Marinette is extremely clumsy and often easy to panic. After activating the Lucky Charm, Ladybug's miraculous will begin to lose power and revert her back to Marinette in five minutes.

Marinette is a gifted seamstress with a taste in fashion. She can draw freehand or on a computer, sew by hand and machine, and has an overall talent in design, almost exclusively wearing clothes of her own creation. She's also proven herself to be an efficient gamer.

Marinette is a kind, cheerful, oftentimes awkward young lady. While she does have a positive outlook on life and can be extremely clever when she puts her mind to it, she frequently struggles with a lack of confidence or self-esteem, and can quickly turn nervous and anxious under stress. History
Marinette is the daughter of a French father and Chinese mother, co-owners of a bakery in Paris. On her first day back to school, she pulled an old man out of the way of a speeding vehicle, prompting the man, Master Fu, to choose her as the wielder of the Ladybug Miraculous. She found the earrings in her bedroom and was introduced to Tikki later that day, and after struggling with self-doubt during her subsequent first mission as Ladybug, she committed herself to defending Paris alongside fellow Miraculous holder Chat Noir.
From that moment on, when they weren't at school, the duo would combat and rescue the akumatized villains created by Hawk Moth, who sought their Miraculouses. During their most recent encounter with one of Hawk Moth's victims, a new student transformed into the villain Escapist, Chat Noir was quickly disposed of, and when Ladybug engaged him, both of them found themselves accidentally transported to another realm...

Marinette has a massive crush on Adrien, but is unaware that he is Chat Noir. Likewise, Adrien/Chat Noir has no idea that Marinette is Ladybug.
