"Jakob's right... Hopefully!" Corrinne rolled to the side, noting that she seemed slower than normal. "Just survive!"
"Felicia, trade weapons with me."
"Uh... Okay?" A flaming shuriken was put in Kaze's hand, and Felicia received a steel one in return. The ninja felt a surge of magical power flow through his body, aiming at another ninja...
The Flame Shuriken tore through the spectral ninja's body, vanishing before it hit the ground as the green-haired man went to retrieve his weapon, frowning at his decreased speed.
"It's messing with our abilities, too. It seems as though we became our own antithesis..."

Corrin evaded another attack, gritting his teeth. "I don't... feel any faster or slower. That is very strange..."
Azura sang to re-energize Kaze, before turning towards the Manakete. "I would guess that your speed is just at the mid-point of your potential, in that case. I feel... very strange, myself." She found out why when a sneaky shuriken struck her... and did very little. "...Gods, I don't know if I could get used to this. Everyone, hold strong!"
After a little while longer, a strange sound echoed through the room, and the negative colors reverted to normal. Jakob was the first to act, hurling his Shuriken outwards. "Now's our chance!"

"Well, that was painful to listen to." Corrinne rubbed her ears, wincing at the sound. "Seems like we're back to normal..." A Vallite's bolt was barely acknowledged beyond the manakete getting a perm. "Let's take out as many as possible before... THAT happens again!" Cornering a Knight, she shifted and slammed down on the armoured fighter with her whole body. "I wonder if I'd actually be faster under that like this..."
"This is probably a bad time to admit it, but..." Felicia tossed her steel shuriken at a Spear Fighter, halting it in its tracks. A pair of Dual Shuriken stunned it again. "I kinda liked the feeling of power..."
From somewhere in the room, the words "I didn't." could be heard.

Corrin nodded, swinging his tail outward to knock over a rather frail Knight. "That's a weird feeling, but I didn't exactly mind it either. We could use it to our advantage if we could do something like that ourselves..."
The others continued to fight, and after a little while, the sound came again, the room suddenly going into negative-color again, leaving just a few remaining Ninja. Silas grit his teeth. "Urgh... what a vile sound..."

"I don't think I'll get that sound out of my head..." Corrinne mumbled, trying to get a feel of her speed. Unfortunately, it seemed as though she was even slower. The shifted back, just in time to block a shuriken. "Looks like it's only these left. Let's go!"
Kaze returned to throwing the Flame Shuriken, although slower. "Nrgh... I'm just glad it's almost over."
Felicia stood back-to-back with Jakob, tossing the borrowed Steel Shuriken. "I wonder if there's a way to set this up for ourselves... Might be useful from time to time?"

Azura nodded, stabbing one of the Ninjas with her Blessed Lance. "We ought to look into that once we get out of here. Perhaps someone in the city knows something about that."
"For now, let's just focus on the task at hand." Corrin slammed down on the last of their opponents, exhaling as he shifted back. "...Now... I wonder what we're going to be up against this time..."

On the next floor, a lone figure in heavy armour . A General. In its hand was a Spear, although the design wasn't quite what anyone was used to. At this, Kaze and Felicia took a step back, noting the power coming off the armoured foe. "My apologies... I have this feeling I'm not going to be capable of inflicting any damage."
[Pair Up: Kaze -> Silas Support: B Skl +2, Spd + 4, Movement +1]
"I can probably do damage, but..." Felicia seemed to be hovering around Jakob. "I'm sure it'd kill me in one blow. At least I can support Jakob."
"That'll work. I guess I'm going to have to do this." Corrinne sheathed Yato and pulled out her Dragonstone, issuing a roar of challenge. "Ready, brother, Silas, Jakob?"

"Ready, sister!" Corrin roared out, nodding as he took a position at Corrinne's side.
"I'm with you," the Paladin said, preparing his lance to fight.
"On your mark, Lord Corrin, Lady Corrinne." Jakob prepared his Barb Shuriken. "I will support you."

"I'll start us off!" Charging, Corrinne jumped and crashed down on the General, although shortly after impact, she yelped and pulled back slightly. "Ow, ow, ow! Hard! Very hard!"
[Vallite's HP: 50 -> 38]
Rubbing her sore claw, the Manakete narrowly avoided a jab from the Spear. Felicia jumped in while it was distracted with the dragons, tossing her Flame Shuriken at it. It recoiled slightly, feeling the weapon sink in. "It's weakened now!"
"Go! I'll cover for you!" Kaze yelled.

"Hyah!" Corrin followed up with another strike with his tail, though he grit his teeth, staggering a bit. "Rrk! Ow..."
[Vallite's HP: 38 -> 29]
He wasn't quite fast enough to evade the counterattack, staggering back with a cough as he was jabbed. "Urgh, that really hurt..."
Silas moved in front afterward, readying to strike, with Jakob behind. "I'm your next opponent!"

The General raised its Spear, ready to attack the Paladin, when it was struck by a pair of shuriken, one of steel, another flaming. This sudden impact, while barely phasing the armoured warrior, was enough to leave it open...
"Go! It won't remain open for long!"
"Let's get ready, brother? Jump and charge tactics?" Even though she shuddered at the thought, Corrinne dug a claw into the ground and kicked up dirt, as if getting ready to charge at it.

"Right behind you, sister. Let's go!" Corrin did the same before taking off at a sprint towards the General. They had to take advantage of every opportunity.
While they did so, Silas moved around, using the charging dragons as a distraction to try and get a strike with his own lance in on the General's back. "Hrah!"

As the General was struck by Silas's lance, it was struck by two shuriken, courtesy of a maid and butler.
"You won't stop US!"
BAM!
Together with Corrin, Corrinne slammed into the armoured foe, shoulder-first, the figure beginning to dissolve, leaving behind its weapon... Although it had some wear, it still seemed to be in good condition...
Reverting back to normal, Corrinne rubbed her shoulder, groaning. "Remind me to never do that again..."

Corrin coughed slightly as he reverted, groaning. "Urgh... thank the Gods that's over. That was not fun... so what kind of weapon was that one using, anyway?"
Silas went over, picking up the weapon to inspect it. "...It's definitely like a Spear, but... different."

"You might want to hand onto that..." Corrinne was, it seemed, to be cracking her shoulder back into place. "Owowow... It looks like some good craftsmanship went into that."
Felica was checking Corrin for injuries. "Hold still, Lord Corrin." With a slight cracking sound, Corrin's shoulder was readjusted back into place. "Looks like they're getting stronger..."
The group made their way down the staircase, still wary, only to find another room devoid of enemies, its only inhabitant being a lone chest...
"You know the routine, Kaze." Corrinne was taking a moment to catch her breath. "Gods... If this is the shortcut, I hate to think of how long the regular way is..."
Click. In the chest was... Another Master Seal, and another badge, this one green with a yellow lightning bolt. Corrinne couldn't help but snicker at that. "I'm sure Ryoma would appreciate that one..."
Kaze was pondering the Master Seal. "It seems almost too convenient... Ah, and I don't feel worthy."
"No... You are worthy." Corrinne walked up to the ninja. "You brought my brother and I back to Hoshido. You've saved our lives at least once... And even if you were, well... I have this nagging feeling that we're going to need all the power we can get." The manakete gave an awkward, yet endearing smile.
"Very well." Kaze turned away, a grim determination present on his face.
"Please... give me the power to protect everyone... that is all I ask for..."
Kaze tossed the seal into the air, envisioning what he desired... Speed, the ability to better serve and protect everyone...
He gave a shout as the light covered his form...
When the light died down, Kaze more or less spun back into existence, clad in a new outfit and an aura of energy...
"... I like this." The faintest smile could be seen on Kaze's face, feeling more agile than ever...
"You look great, Kaze!!" Corrinne said, jumping a bit.
"I bet you could really outrun a horse now, huh!" Felicia grinned, taking in their ally.
