A small cloud drifted across what was an otherwise clear sky, casting only the slightest shadow that trailed along the ground. Atop the cloud, Aether smiled down at the shimmering water and white, sandy beach. Giant's Lake was quite a beauty. The waters were calm enough along the shore to welcome in casual swimmers, but the waves far beyond reached high enough that they could easily be surfed upon. Add to that the perfect weather and the sunlight shining at just the right temperature, and it was no wonder so many people had decided to seize the opportunity to have a day at the beach.
Speaking of which...
Aether chuckled as she looked over her shoulder, spotting someone charging through the southern rainforest until they shot out of the trees like a bullet.
"WHOO!!!" Swift skidded to a halt where the grass met the sand, being mindful enough not to spray any of the grainy substance on any passersby. Once she had stopped, Andromeda jumped off Swift's back, shaking herself off from the wild ride over and feeling the sand scrunch between her toes.
Aether lowered her cloud down to the ground, leaping off next to the girls and dissolving the cloud with a swipe of her tail. Then she stared out at the shoreline with an excited grin. "Well... here we are."
"Here we are indeed!" Swift chimed, arms folded, a smirk on her face. "Are you ladies ready for a GIRLS' DAY OUT?!"
Andromeda beamed back at Swift, shooting her two thumbs up as she bounced on her toes. Aether giggled and wagged her tail, then responded, "Ready as ever!"
"Then let's get it AAAAAWWWWWWN!" Swift hollered, marching out onto the beach with her alien companions following closely behind.
Soon enough, they spotted an ideal spot to claim as their own. Once Andromeda set down the bag she had been carrying, she and Swift pulled out their towels, laid them out in the sand, then stripped off their outer wear to reveal the bikinis they were wearing underneath. Aether sat down on one of the towels, seizing the opportunity to relax and soak up the sun. Andromeda retrieved a water bottle from the bag, taking as swig as she looked around at the gorgeous scenery and the crowds of happy people. Swift took a few steps forward, hands on her hips as she observed the lake and the people riding the waves not too far away.
"Today's gonna be a good day, girls."
