As the group hurried down to the next floor, Corrin nodded. "I'll leave it up to you. I'd have some difficulty with this." The manakete glanced over at Kaze, chuckling softly under his breath. "Honestly, Kaze? This has been incredibly helpful to us. I wouldn't worry about it too much."
When they arrived, Jakob was in the middle of a fight with a Dark Mage. "Haah! I was beginning to question if you'd show up at all. There's a fairly large number of opponents here."
Silas pulled out his sword, taking a slow breath. "Well, we're here now. Let's get them!"

"... I'd say transform, but as it is, I'll just take my chances." Corrinne flipped the Disrobing Gale open again. "Silas, Kaze, if you would?"
"Of course." There was a green blur, with marks on the floor appearing again.
"How do you do that?" A Mercenary was blown away, the manakete curious.
"It's rather simple, Lady Corrinne. The sections of the floor that are prone to breaking are a lighter tint than normal."
"I don't see it..." WHOOSH, another burst of air.
"... Lady Corrinne."
"Yes, Kaze?"
"With all due respect, please consider investing in glasses when possible."

Corrin muffled a chuckle behind a hand. "I kind of agree with Kaze here... It's not a huge difference, but I see it too."
Azura, however, either hadn't noticed or wasn't paying attention...
Silas shouted out. "Azura, wait-!"
He was just a bit too late, however. Azura took one step too many forward and the ground gave way beneath her. "Ah!"
"Azura!" Corrin shouted as she fell.
[ I have no words for this carelessness...]
Silas tossed Franz's reins to Jakob. "I'll keep her safe. Hurry down when you can!" With that, the Paladin deliberately jumped down the hole after her, looking much like a cannonball with how he curled himself inwards.
[?! Why would you choose to do that?!]
Corrin just blinked at the hole in the floor. "...Gods help us. Okay, everyone. Let's hurry and get down to the next floor!"

"Ow... that sounded painful, on both ends..." As the battle unfurled around her, Corrinne bent down into the hole, straining to see anything. "Azura? Silas? What's down th- agh?!" However, as the sounds of battle got too close, Corrinne attempted to dodge, only to fall into the hole herself. There was a deadened crash sound. "Ow... I'm okay, I landed on one of them..."
[This is the second time you fell down. You only have so many functioning brain cells as it is.]
"Ouch..." Thanks to Tomebreaker's bonuses, Felicia dodged a Calamity Gate, and retaliated with a pair of Flame Shuriken to her attacker. "Let's hurry now, yes?"

Corrin just smacked his face with a palm. "...Yes, let's hurry." With a sigh, he rolled under another incoming spell, slicing down the mage casting it. "At least there's three down there..."
Jakob calmly walked along the stronger path with Silas' horse, occasionally tossing his Barb Shuriken out. It didn't take too long for them to finish the room and continue down.

As they arrived, Silas had his lance locked with a Mercenary's, Azura behind him in a defensive stance. "Glad you guys got here quickly."

There was what looked like a crushed Samurai in the middle of the room. Corrinne had her tome out still, casting the Disrobing Gale. "Assuming we don't break anything, it may actually work to our advantage to fall through the floor..." With a blast of wind, a second samurai was blasted out of the way.
"... Hmm... If the pattern is correct..." After marking the floor, Kaze stood close, before slamming a foot down to the ground, creating a small hole. "Then it may be in our best interests to do so..." As two Mercenaries charged on him, the green ninja slipped into the hole, resulting in the two sword-users colliding with each other.
[What?! Why?!]
"... Tomes and scrolls." There was a flash of yellow from the floor below.

Corrin watched Kaze jump through the hole, shaking his head slightly. "I'll finish up here and bring Silas' horse down, if..."
The Paladin didn't take very long before tossing the reins to the Manakete, jumping down as well. "Here we go!"
[.................]
Azura took a few steps to Corrin's side. "I'll stay with you. While we are racing against time, it wouldn't do for us to injure ourselves..."
Jakob nodded... before following Silas down as well without a word. It seemed that he was fairly confident in his ability to avoid hurting himself.

The sounds of combat could be heard below. Corrinne sweatdropped, throwing out another Disrobing Gale to dispatch one of the mercenaries that had attacked each other. "Let's just hurry. I can see the magic from the hole..."
Taking care to avoid the weaker sections of the floor, as she threw out a Flame Shuriken at the other mercenary, while her attention was drawn to the hole. "Huh? That's odd..."
"What's odd, Felicia?"
"It suddenly went dark..."
It didn't take much to finish the floor, and the group proceeded down to the next...
"It's quiet... Almost too quiet..."

Silas waved to the group as they arrived at the floor... there were no enemies to be seen. "You're a little late. We kinda already cleared out the floor."
Jakob adjusted one of his gloves, nodding. "Best overall, though, wouldn't you say? We've saved quite a bit of time already. Shall we keep going?"
Corrin just ran a hand through his hair, nodding. "Yeah... let's go."
[Pit of 100 Trials: Floor 37]
When the group arrived, the floor was quite dark... it was hard to even make out the forms of their opponents. When one did finally appear in the light from the torch, however...
"...What kind of...?" Corrin was very confused. "...Anyone have any clue what we're looking at here?"

"... Swords. Can't say I recognize these, though." Straining his eyes, Kaze made out female figures in elaborate dresses and armour. "I don't know what we're up against exactly... Do be careful."
The hairs on the back of Felicia and Corrinne's hairs stood up. "I'm sensing magic, too..." The two girls stood in front. "But..."
Felicia nodded, eyes slowly adjusting to the dark. "I can't see any tomes nor scrolls... How?"
Before they could make a plan of battle, one of the invisible soldiers lunged for Corrin.

Corrin stepped backwards, but the woman's blade struck his side, getting a yell of pain from the manakete. "Aahh! B-Be careful; those swords hurt... aahhah..." He grit his teeth, stepping back while Jakob healed his wound. "Ow..."
Silas took his lance out, swinging; his blow hit home, but the woman's blade struck back in return... his lance didn't seem to be clashing against it as effectively. "What? This is..."
Azura frowned, before singing for a moment to energize Silas again. "Those weapons... their make is unusual. We'd best- ah!" She jumped back, just barely avoiding a Fire spell slung at her from one of the other women further back.

As Kaze tossed a Steel Shuriken, it impacted with another Fire spell, both the magic and weapon simply falling. "... Hmm?" He followed up his attack, this time colliding with a Thunder spell. "... I see."
Corrinne mumbled something under her breath as she took a few steps back. "What is it, Kaze?" She casted a Disrobing Gale, noting how her target didn't seem to respond too much, and retaliated with a wind spell of her own. "G-Gah!!"
[Corrinne's HP: 33 -> 24]
"Ugh... I'm going to feel that later..." As Felicia raised her stave to heal the Manakete, the maid glared in the general direction of the attack.

Jakob flung his Barb Shuriken in response to the spell slung at Corrinne. "I believe I've figured it out as well... whatever these things are, they can use magic without tomes... is that right, Kaze?"
Corrin grit his teeth, rolling to avoid a wave of angelic figures sent at him before cutting down the Priestess casting the spell. "That's insane! Isn't magic supposed to require a focus of some kind?!"
Azura frowned, thinking intently. "That's what is assumed, yes... however, evidence to the contrary is right before us. Still... how are they casting those spells?"

"... I remember watching Leo do magic." Corrinne stated. "You don't necessarily need a tome, scroll, or staff to cast magic." She whipped open her tome, casting a blast of wind against the thunder spell that had been sent at her. "It's a conductor. If you have the ability to cast magic, you don't need a tool... But it takes its tool from somewhere else." Noting the looks she was getting, the manakete simply blinked. "What? I pay attention sometimes."
"She's right." Kaze narrowly dodged a spell at him. "They're paying the cost in their own stamina."
"Hmm... So that's why they're switching to swordplay?"

"Then we have a few options." Corrin took a few steps back, holding his sword aloft. "So do we try and rush them? Or let them wear themselves out with their spells?"
Silas grimaced as he took a fireball to the side, unable to dodge fast enough. "Rrgh! Can we even handle dealing with all that magic?"
