"Okay, this situation is deteriorating fast, no thanks to the green dick." Standing gingerly on his wounded leg, William called forward his sword hilt, materializing the blade with a swing. "No offence, Paul, but if you can't fight, or at least control Kelsey, you need to, nope, nevermind, just... Dammit, Leeroy Jenkins." He sighed, clearly this was not how the blonde wanted things to go this morning.
"Excuse me? Where do you think you're going, Satan Spawn?" Unfurling his wings (and no doubt splashing some people), Liderc took flight after Kelsey, green flames covering his hands, steam coming off his body. As their commander departed to chase the demonic girl, the common soldiers were left with the rest of the group.
"Shit, so what do we do now, Falcon?"
"I dunno. I guess we're just gonna fight 'em, Eagle."
"Yeah, sounds about right." One of the soldiers glanced at Mic. "You. Get to your assignment. You're trying our patience, and you'll just get in the way-"
Before that sentence could conclude, a figure with a long coat jumped down from a nearby building, slamming the speaking angel with a powerful kick. "Sorry I'm late. Overslept."
"Don't change, Perce. Don't change..."
"You!" Liderc's eyes found Kelsey, clearly going for the sail. "You have a second to reconsider your actions! Don't make me cut your arms off..." With a shriek and a small burst of smoke, a giant green swift charged from the temporary distraction, talons aimed at Kelsey's face.

Well. That solved that problem. The "what are we gonna do" problem that is. They were going to fight. Ranuen grinned. Perfect. But Kelsey's plan of action took the swordsman by surprise. He hadn't expected her to go straight for the ship in the air. "Agh! Stealing the best ideas!" Ranuen swung his sword in front of him, and a tremendous flash fire exploded out in front of him, momentarily obscuring the angel's view of the group. The fire lasted only a moment, but, like a magician's magic trick, in the moment that the sheet of flame fell, Ranuen was nowhere to be seen. Like he'd vanished as quickly as he'd arrived. A Phantom. The truth, was somewhat different of course, though not entirely so different. Ranuen certainly hadn't disappeared but he was also not there anymore. In the instant Ranuen unleashed his wave of flame, he'd leaped forwards and shrunk, using the explosive force of his own flame to propel him up into the air after Kelsey and latching onto her leg. If she was taking to the ship so soon, Ranuen didn't want to miss out on that!
Although the acidic slime was going to be a problem pretty quickly..... Fortunately, Kelsey was fast, as was Liderc and it wasn't long before Ranuen saw an opening to lend a hand again. Liderc had followed Kelsey into the air. Well. Things were a bit hairy for Ranuen to see or read Kelsey's objective at his size. But whatever it was.... He could at least make sure that Liderc didn't interfere. Seeing the angel rushing in to attack, Ranuen leaped off Kelsey's leg (hands a little burnt from holding on), and suddenly returned to his normal height in mid-air, intercepting Liderc's attack. Liderc's talons drove into Ranuen's shoulder, but the swordsman didn't so much as wince, instead throwing both arms around the angel in a powerful bear hug. Or more specifically, throwing Liderc's wings into a bear hug, to try and prevent the angel from flying."Hey there. Weather's a little brisk up here, so why don't we go down a little!" Ranuen jested at Liderc, hoping his tactic would cause the angel and himself to plummet to the ground below. Sure, the talon that had pierced his shoulder hurt like heck, but Ranuen was used to pain. It'd take more than that to make him release Liderc if his tactic had been successful.

"YIPE-!!!" Mic leaped back a few feet, startled by Percy's sudden appearance and only further unnerved when he realized who it was. He quickly got the impression that he shouldn't be there, and he had certainly taken the soldier's words to heart, yet his eyes continued to flick between the group gathered around him and the figures charging towards the ship up above. He knew he had a job to do. He was eager to get to work on that assignment. But was he just supposed to leave the others here when the situation was deteriorating so rapidly?
"BUT YOU GUYS-! AND THESE GUYS-! AND THE KERUV-! AND THE DEMON-! AND THE SHIP-! AND THE DG-DU-I-D-IF-I-BT-I-J-AH-GCK-DAAAAAH!!! FINDING PERDIX NOW! I'M ON IT!!!"
Mic wasn't sure what he could've done for them then and there anyway. He just had to trust that Liderc and the soldiers could handle it themselves. He could still be useful to the army doing what he was brought here to do, after all. As such, Mic took to the air and sped away before he could second-guess himself, straining to not look back. Praying for his fellow angels' safety. Hoping that he was doing the right thing.
Paul watched the yellow angel disappear into the storm with heavy breaths, standing up on shaky legs as he looked between William and the soldiers. He had been given a window of opportunity to get himself to safety, and honestly, he couldn't blame William for offering it. Paul was clearly not a fighter. He had some physical advantages, sure, but he offered very little in terms of offense. These angels clearly had every intent to attack, and all he could do was stand there, cower, and fret about his friends' wellbeing. Having been effectively put on the spot, he had no idea what he was supposed to do.
But...
Slowly, Paul's gaze trailed up to the ship, watching the fiery blur charge towards it through the haze. Soon enough, his nervous grimace turned to a hard glare. What kind of friend would he be if he ran off with his tail between his legs while the others did all the hard work? These angels were threatening the entire island, and the very idea of what this would lead to riled up a storm inside him. He wasn't going to stand by idly. He was tired of being an observer to this chaos. He was tired of being useless.
"I have to get to Kelsey," Paul murmured for William's ears only. "A direct attack with no context as to what she's getting herself into will only lead to trouble. Who knows what's waiting for her up there?"
All the while, Kelsey spared only a sharp glance at Liderc out of the corner of her eye, not even offering him the satisfaction of a witty retort. He wanted her arms so badly? Fine. He could take them. She could grow them back (probably). The acid would probably do a number on his stupid bird feet anyway.
Before she could even consider attacking or defending herself against Liderc, to her surprise, Ranuen jumped off of her leg, resized, and grabbed the approaching swift for her. The unexpected aid earned a laugh from Kelsey, as she found herself grateful for the help, amused by Liderc's struggle, and confident that the fire mage could handle this. Her speed never faltered throughout the ordeal as she continued barreling towards the ship like a bullet, fire blazing, acid sizzling...
FWIP
And just like that, the demon girl shot through the sail of the ship, leaving behind a nearly ten-foot hole, the edges charred, flames dancing along them until they fizzled out in the rain.
Soon after she emerged on the other side, Kelsey reached back and shot a shadow out of her aura, the black tendril stretching out and grabbing the mast. Once her grip was secure, she swung on the tendril, looping back around and propelling herself towards the ship. Then she let go, her aura retreating as she swooped down and landed on her feet on the deck.
To the angels on board, Kelsey shot a deranged, toothy grin, one that seemed both intimidating and intimidated.
"Heh... Um... Allahu akbar?"
"Wow. THAT was tasteless."
"F*** you."

"Uh... yeah. Get up there. Help Kelsey. I can dig it." William tried to keep his voice low and audible only to Paul, making a tongue-clicking sound. "Okay. So, how do we get there? I can't exactly fly, and you don't seem to be able either. Triple jump? Shit, man, I dunno." With a flash, the blade rematerialized itself. "Grab something, dude. I'm gonna give you a combat primer. Look lively. Because our friends don't look too keen on taking us alive..."
"So! What did I miss? Did I crash in on something import- AGH?!" Before Percy could fully register the fact that he was outnumbered, one of the angels grabbed him by the arms, seizing the brunette. "What the hell?! Gah... Not again..." Before anything else, bone-coloured spikes shot out from Percy's shoulders and arms, piercing the angel and forcing the winged man to release him. The slight teen anger took advantage of this to roll over, withdrawing the bone spikes, frowning at the new holes in his coat. "Ack. Not again."
"You seriously have a habit of picking fights you can't win, Perce."
"Shut the hell up, Will."
---
"... I have no idea what you're talking about, or what you're talking to, but you're not cleared to be on here."
With several flashes, the angels got to their feet and began to charge Kelsey, weapons materializing, the very deck shaking from their sheer numbers. The ship gave a slight shudder, but remained afloat, only slightly lower than before. "Jay, the Keruv is fighting with a strange monkey thing. Should we assist him?"
"Nah. The Keruv's been through worse and still came out. Fuck 'em."
"FUCKYOU."
As the green swift was taken by surprise, Liderc's talon pierced Raunen's shoulder in an attempt to liberate himself. He cursed in bird-speak as this failed to dislodge the unslightly creature from him, heading for the hard, wing-shattering pavement below...
"Screw this. You wanna play with fire? You get BURNED!!"
In the blink of an eye, the swift's form burst into green flames, burning into his captor, his trajectory seeming to be heading straight for Kelsey...

White Kelsey was doing her thing on the ship, Ranuen had his own hands somewhat full, with the resistance Liderc was putting up. The shoulder piercing he could handle. That wasn't too bad. But accumulated damage could even wear him down in the long run. Ranuen was superbly resilient to damage, not immune to it. And although he could bolster his rate of healing as well, he didn't have high speed regeneration. A wound like the one Liderc had dealt him would still take at least a day to heal. Ranuen could take a lot of punishment but whatever Liderc dealt him was going to stick and wear him down. Of course, Ranuen hoped the same would apply both ways. Liderc's fire blast burned Ranuen and forced him to relinquish his grip, more from the shock, than the damage. As a fire mage himself, Ranuen had a good resistance to fire on top of his own damage resistance, but it still forced him back. However....
Even as Ranuen felt himself get driven off of Liderc, he drew his sword and delivered a counter-attack, aiming to slash Liderc across the flank. If he was getting out of this with damage, he could return the favor! Ranuen was knocked back in the air, and saw Liderc adjust his course. "Oh for--" Ranuen spun around and slashed at the air behind him. A burst of flame shot out of his sword, and, similarly to a rocket, launched Ranuen after Liderc. "Oi! Angel! You're opponent isn't down there! He's right.... Here!" Ranuen punctuated his declaration with a second fire blast at Liderc. If the angel dodged, however, the blast from the swordsman would be on a crash course with the deck of the ship. As was Ranuen himself, for that matter..... Ah. That'll hurt. He mused briefly, as he checked the outcome of his attack, readying his sword to go for more.
------ While the battle raged in the skies, on the ground, Alaric was forced to give a heavy sigh at William, Percy and Paul. "I'm starting to think I really did pick the right side in all of this." Alaric noted sardonically. He raised up his firearm to point at the angels, bracing his weapon with both hands. "If you want to fight, I have some weapons I can give you. It's not much against this kind of enemy but it's something." Taking one hand off of his pistol, but keeping the weapon raised, Alaric rummaged through his jacket, and procured a wooden stake and a silver knife, which he tossed back lightly in Paul's direction. "If you're not experienced then I advise looking for the opportune moment to strike, don't just rush in like an idiot." Preparation in any encounter. That was key. If you weren't prepared and didn't pick your moments, especially when fighting beings stronger than humans, you were dead. Alaric didn't have magic to augment his abilities like Ranuen, demonic power like Kelsey or the like. He was a normal man who fought the darkness. Improvisation and preparation were key. Fighting dirty and pragmatically was key. Also key....
"This is new for me, I don't suppose any of you know the weaknesses of angels?"

Paul flinched as Alaric tossed some of his equipment his way, letting out a very audible sigh of relief when he managed to catch the silver knife by the handle and not the blade. The stake, though, he awkwardly handed back to the hunter; he doubted he would get much mileage out of it, less so because of its practicality and more because of his own lack of skill. Despite his wary expression, Paul offered Alaric a nod of gratitude before turning back to William...
"Yeah, no, I have no idea how to get up there," he admitted with a grimace. "You know, beyond piggybacking on one of these freaks, and I don't think anyone here would be too keen on that id-"
Then, all of a sudden, the very atmosphere between the two groups seemed to warp for a split second before, in a flash of white light, an angel appeared in the open space. One recognizably different from the angel soldiers assembled before him, given his distinctly human appearance save for the pure white wings, not to mention the holy, somehow tangibly timeless feeling of the aura that radiated from him.
Paul's eyes widened at the sight, quickly picking up these differences but only finding himself confused because of them. "W-Wait- Who-? C-Can they all do that-?"
Kendall looked over his shoulder, casting the blue dragon man a sad look, distraught by his complacency in the events to come but simultaneously, tearfully accepting his role in them. Then he looked back at the angels. His expression, though stern, was not threatening. It simply seemed to silently request they stay away.
---------------------------
Kelsey's eye twitched as pretty much every angel on deck charged at her. She was willing to admit that she hadn't been thinking ahead when she landed there, but she was also willing to concede that she probably should have seen this coming. Based on past experiences, foes that came in hordes like this generally didn't have the courtesy to attack one at a time. "Alright, so we're doing a zerg rush then..."
"Well, I'll give 'em this," Tri muttered. "At least they're not COMPLETE morons."
Kelsey opted to ignore her master's remarks, mostly because of how quickly she was forced to react to the approaching attackers. To do so, she reeled back, building up her shadow aura again, then swung a single, enormous black tentacle in a wide arc through the swarm of angels, effectively knocking the front line back in one blow. Once she had a little leeway, she took to the air again, rising above the ship, conjuring a massive fireball in her arms, then hurling it down upon the bow, instantly igniting a massive fire that the rain would not so easily extinguish.
"Y'know..." Tri snidely offered. "Now might be a good time to try bringing in some backup."
"Are you kidding?!" Kelsey sharply whispered back. "This can't be his first fight! What do you expect him to do against these pricks?! An army this big would freak him out!"
"Oh, like any other monster you've faced would be any more comforting."
"I am NOT subjecting him to this, okay?!"

"What are angels weak to? Imago says... well Imago's saying many things, but the gist of it is aim for the wings. Chop off a limb or even their head, they'll just grow it back... No, Imago, we're not going to be painting pictures with their blood." Percy glared at the air, before turning to the winged mob beside them. "Alright, let's go. I could use a fight before breakfast."
I wanna see 'em suffer.
"Shut up, Imago."
"Perce, now is not the time to be arguing with the senile voice in your head!" William's tone seemed more panicked than Percy's. "Thanks for giving Paul a weapon, dude! Now we just need to find a way-"
And then there was the flash of light, followed by the white-winged angel appearing. "Oh shit, who's this guy? Is this some sorta secret weapon?"
"I don't think so- gah!" A wind spell was narrowly dodged. "Just look at him! He looks like us, he's not yellow or green or whatever!"
Grrr... angel scum...
---
"Oh shit, we're on fire!"
"Get Albatross! Get him to put out the fire!"
"I'm right here, Crow! Faravahar above, you don't need to yell!" As angels were swatted aside by Kelsey's shadow tentacle, one, apparently Albatross, began chanting, trying to extinguish Kelsey's blaze with earth magic. "It's not going out!"
"Abandon ship!"
"My pet banana-chomping ballistic beast is in there!"
"You can get a new pet banana-chomping ballistic beast!"
"This isn't even my good ship, but this is still empire property!" The green swift shrieked, bursting into flames again, this time charging directly for Kelsey at lightning speed. "Die already, Satan spawn!"

"Wings huh?" A series of gunshots rang out, as Alaric took precise aim at any nearby Angels and unleashed lead fury at them, as Imago suggested, targeting each one's wings. He tucked and rolled across the ground, barely avoiding the same attack that had nearly struck Percy, leveling his pistol and attempting to shoot the white-winged entity that had just arrived before them. Alaric was carefully tracking his ammunition. He only had so much to shoot afterall. No infinite magazines for him!
------
Meanwhile in the sky, a resounding crash sounded as Ranuen hit the deck of the ship. Not so much "superhero landing" as it was "rock falling out of the sky, and leaving a crater". "Ow. Why did you guys have to make the deck of your ship so hard. That hurt...." He groaned as he got up, from an impact that would have completely shattered the body of a normal human, and yet Ranuen didn't seem to have anything from it except a headache. "Well. At least we've got this down." He noticed the angels seemed notably concerned about the fact their ship was on fire. Well. Ranuen could help with that. His earlier attack included, the swordsman's weapon flashed left and right, spreading a blaze around himself, and doing all he could to assist Kelsey in burning the ship out of the sky.

Kendall only cast a brief glance at Alaric before hastily shielding himself with his arms. One of the hunter's bullets lodged itself in his left wrist, producing an audible PLINK sound reminiscent of a bullet hitting a metal target. Hardly even flinching at the impact, Kendall almost immediately reached into the hole and fished the bullet out, ivory blood flowing from the wound and washing away in the rain. "You need not waste your ammunition on me, Alaric."
Paul stared dumbfounded at the white angel. Kendall simply dropped the bullet as if nothing had happened, then turned to face the advancing, more technicolor angels, weapons drawn, spells at the ready...
With a wave of his hand, the air around each individual angel around him seemed to warp slightly, slowing them in their tracks. This distortion quickly faded, yet the angels still appeared to be moving in slow motion.
Kendall then turned back to the others. "If anyone needs a lift to the ship, now is your prime opportunity!"
Paul couldn't help but notice that Kendall was eyeing him directly as he spoke. Like... really? This angel was offering to fly him up to the ship? Part of him wanted to bring up how ridiculous that image was in his head, considering Paul was easily half a foot taller than the angel. But then again, he did just shake off a bullet like it was a mosquito, so... "I... guess that's my cue, isn't it?"
Transferring Alaric's silver knife from his hand to his tail, Paul warily stepped closer to the white angel. He shot a quick, nervous glance at the other angels trapped in a slow motion sprint, still a long ways away from catching up to them at this rate. He still wasn't entirely sure what was going on, but considering the hostility these guys were displaying, he had no idea how much he should trust this particular angel, no matter how different he clearly was. "So... why're you helping us?"
"There are at least some aspects of this timeline worth salvaging..." the angel sighed.
Paul didn't know how to respond to that.
"I'm sorry... W-We should hurry up and help Kelsey." He turned around, leaned over slightly and spread his wings, offering his back to Paul. "Go on. I can handle it."
"Uh..." Paul raised an eyebrow at Kendall, then at William, silently begging for some sort of logical response that he still could not muster himself.
---------------------------
"Pfft. Well, this got entertaining quickly," Tri snickered as he watched the angels scramble about, trying to escape and fruitlessly extinguish Kelsey's flames. "Okay, yeah, screw my idea. Keep this up, and we might just have a buffet on our hands. Would make for a better familiar than that weaksauce kid."
Kelsey could only groan at that remark. She still wasn't keen on the idea of consuming souls, never mind killing anything that wasn't demonic cannon fodder, but she did promise that she would be more open to taking souls from those with less than noble intent. These guys might've been soldiers following orders, but by virtue of their mission, they fit that bill.
Well, first things first. They weren't done nipping this invasion at the bud. As such, Kelsey started flying towards the stern of the ship and conjured up another fireball, aiming to get a fire spreading from both sides...
"Duck."
"S***!!!"
"Correction: Swift."
The fire in Kelsey's hands fizzled out when the green bird struck her from the side. Amidst the numerous shouts from the angels below, she didn't quite realize in time that Liderc's was not an empty threat, and Tri's nonchalant warning wasn't exactly the heads-up she needed. While the flames that covered his form had no effect on her, the talons in her arm were another story, earning a half-pained, half-furious shout from Kelsey as blood quickly started to trickle from the deep lacerations.
Almost like it was a natural biological response, a sticky acid started to seep through the pores of Kelsey's open wounds. Between the stinging sensation the acid created and the hard punch to the beak Kelsey delivered, Liderc's talons were quickly dislodged.
"POMPOUS..."
The moment her arm was freed, Kelsey grabbed Liderc by the legs...
"...MOTHER..."
...swung him around in a wide, diagonal arc...
"...F***ER!!!!!"
...and slammed him down on the ship's deck with all her might. She landed five feet away from him, skidding along the wooden surface another two, her livid expression somewhere between genuinely enraged and just plain done.

"You sure about that, Paul?!" William took advantage of the time slowing to catch his breath. "I mean, no offence and all, but you're new to combat...! ... Oh, hell. I can see it in your eyes. It's Kelsey, yeah? Hey hey, I can tell! ... Just please. Don't do anything too reckless. I'm starting to like you, man..."
"If you're giving out free lifts, take me with you." Percy pumped a fist, tossing his jacket to William. "I'll make sure you don't get too banged up. 'Sides, I'm kinda eager to do some real damage! ... And so is Imago. But really, it's mostly me."
Don't scare the dragon.
"Don't scare the dragon, Perce. It was nice knowing you, Paul."
"Why are you both picking on me?!"
--
"Gwargh!!!!!"
With a cracking sound, the green swift collided with the deck. Groaning, it reverted back to its humanoid form, hair a mess. Liderc made a coughing sound, spitting up a glob of green blood. Glancing up, he scowled, seeing that, while his talons had dug into Kelsey's side, no burns were visible. "D-Damn..." He kept his voice low. "That's... not gonna cut it..."
Slowly getting to his (aching) feet, Liderc spit out another glob of green blood, this time aimed at Kelsey's eyes, before summoning a naginata to his hand and blitzing towards the annoyance.

Alaric's eyes narrowed. Fast enough to react to bullets? Even vampires that he'd hunted were barely that fast. Not fast enough to do it consistently at least. I'm going to have to upgrade my arsenal for this world, if I survive this. This was a situation that called for creativity then. Using the environment against the a-- wait was that one offering them a lift?
Alaric stared, actually dumbfounded for a moment, before cautiously approaching. "I feel as though you're going to drop me once we hit a certain altitude. But alright. The preservation of this place is worth a little risk." He declared as he moved towards Kendall, lowering his weapon.
-------
Ranuen was somewhat grumpy that Kelsey was stealing Liderc all to herself, but he wasn't going to butt in on someone else's fight. She seemed to be doing fine. "Guess I'm on cleanup again." Ranuen walked through the flames of the burning deck as though unfazed, and stood away from Kelsey and Liderc's fight. "Guess I can take the rest of you on." Ranuen flourished his blade. If he wasn't going to interfere in Kelsey's fight, the least he could do was keep the other Angels at bay, and make sure any other Angel who wanted to join in and assist Liderc was not going to do so easily. Though he did lack the knowledge the group on the ground had, regarding the Angel's weakness, he could probably eject them with brute force. Ranuen let his magic surge through his body, augmenting his physical strength and speed, to keep up and outmatch any of the crew of the ship.

"Not to worry, gentlemen," Kendall offered. "There are a great many things that separate me from the angels on board that ship. I have no intention of escalating this situation."
"Well... if you say so..." Paul mumbled, hesitantly climbing onto Kendall's back, awkwardly situating himself between the wings. To his dismay, the sight of the meek five-foot eight white angel giving the bulky six-foot-three blue dragon man was just as ridiculous as he had imagined. He sincerely hoped this wouldn't get any worse.
"Alright..." Once the offer had been accepted by the trio, Kendall stood up as straight as he possibly could and wrapped one arm around Alaric, the other around Percy. The latter might've noticed an... odd heat radiating from the angel. The kind of heat one felt beneath the light of an exceptionally intense lamp. His touch didn't hurt, per se, but it did quickly start to become uncomfortable. Almost disorienting. Like the longer Kendall had his arm around Percy, the harder it became to think or even see straight. "Here we go!"
Kendall spread his wings...
...and then, in the blink of an eye, Paul, Alaric and Percy were standing on the stern of the ship, overlooking the general chaos taking place on the bow. Paul blinked in utter confusion, noting first and foremost that he was standing on his own two feet, then looking around and finding no sign of the angel that had delivered them. "Uh..."
In his search, his eyes quickly landed on the object of his initial concern, and everything else was instantly forgotten. "Kelsey..."
---------------------------
As the blade-wielding angel charged at her, Kelsey flinched a couple steps back, then quickly released a shadow tendril from her aura and swung it at Liderc to knock him aside. Using the momentum, Kelsey took to the air again, flying over to the sail and getting a foothold in the hole she had made, ripping it further in the process.
She had a feeling Liderc was going to keep his sights on her, so might as well take a brief moment to consider her options. Given the green prick's fire powers, she likely wouldn't get anywhere fighting fire with fire. She could rely on strength and acid, but she wasn't too keen on the idea of getting close to that naginata. Shadows seemed to be her best option. Maybe if she focused them on the wings again.
"DING DING."
Adrenaline kicking in the moment Tri chimed her back into the fight, Kelsey jumped down from the sail, looked towards the green angel and let her aura flare up into a writhing black mist. Her icy blue eyes seemed to glow as the darkness engulfed her.

"Abandon ship!"
"He who runs away lives to raid another day!"
"Can you raise humans as pets?"
"... And of course, I have to be on my own for this one." Spitting up another glob of green blood, this one was instead aimed at Paul. "Typical." His eyes glinted, catching Percy do something out of the corner of his eye. Placing his free hand behind his back, he snapped his fingers, a small burst of cobalt-grey light materializing in a smoke-like pattern.
"Nrgh..." Catching his breath upon landing on the ship, Percy shook his head as if trying to focus himself. "It felt like... I couldn't think straight..." He ran a hand through his mop of hair. "But it was only when I was touching that white angel. What was that?" His head sprung up, eyes focused again, this time, locked on Kelsey. "Shit!" He ran over to the demonic girl. "Are... Are you okay...? It's only a small injury, but..." A soft grey light formed in his hand. "Lemme patch that up real quick."
[Bishop!]
But instead of the expected heal, the talon wounds seemed to deepen, causing Percy to hastily cut off his spell. "Oh shit, oh shit! Somebody cast a Hurtful Heal, oh gods, Kelsey, I'm so sorry, I didn't know...!"
[Hurtful Heal]
"Don't act surprised, Satan spawn." Liderc's confidence seemed to have returned, applying a similar soft light to himself, only tinted cobalt. "There's no cure for evil. Now, I guess I'll start with you..."
Pointing his naginata at Kelsey and Percy, the green-skinned angel whipped around and pointed it at Paul instead. At once, a green, vein-like pattern formed on the ground, racing towards Paul, a lava-like substance bursting from the ground coloured by the veins...
[Magma Burst!]

The other Angels were jumping ship. Good! "Yeah you better run!" Ranuen snapped, before turning his attention back to Kelsey and Liderc, as the ship burned around them.
Looked like Kelsey was trying to make some space with Liderc. Well. This was her fight afterall. But Percy, Paul and Alaric seemed to have joined in along with another Angel, just as Liderc spat a glob of blood at them. Ranuen flew at top speed between the two, attempting to intercept it but he was too far away.... "Paul!" Ranuen snapped sharply, to alert him to it.
Ranuen quickly reoriented himself near the newcoming group. He was pretty suspicious about an Angel taking them here-- wait, the Angel had vanished. ....Well that just made things simpler then! If the angel wasn't there, then Ranuen didn't have to worry about whose side he was on! He could devote his full focus to making sure that the fight between Kelsey and Liderc stayed between Kelsey and Liderc, and didn't involve Paul or anyone else who couldn't defend themselves.
That's when Ranuen noticed the vein pattern shooting along the ground underneath it. "MOVE!" He shouted and attempted to lunge back to shove Paul aside, getting caught in the Magma Bust himself. "Shit!" Ranuen was blasted by the flames and hurled up into the air. Despite possessing a high resistance to heat, it was only resistance. Not immunity, and clear burns were visible on the swordsman's body, as he winced in pain. Ranuen was shot airborne, and his shirt burned to tatters instantly, the fighter's arms braced around himself as if to shield himself from the worst of the attack. Arms now covered in serious burn marks. "Ow. That really f*cking hurt..." He groaned as he fell back towards the deck.

"D-Don't, it's fine, it'll heal...!" Kelsey loudly insisted, less out of frustration with Percy and more out of panic from the elephant in the room. "Paul, what're you doing here?!"
"I...! Well...!" It was clear that Paul was very uncomfortable with the chaotic scene he had been transported to. His heart was racing. His breaths were uneven. It almost felt like there was a thunderstorm in his stomach. "I couldn't just stand by while you take on an entire army by yourself!"
"I can handle it!"
"Can you, though?"
"PISS OFF, TRI!"
"Kelsey, you can't stop this entire invasion single-handedly!" Paul nervously stated. "For all we know, this is just the first wave of- GAH!!!"
Paul noticed the glowing markings snaking towards him only a split second before Ranuen dove in the way of the lava that had erupted from them. He jumped back a good two or three feet, staring wide-eyed as the swordsman was propelled into the air and crashed back onto the deck.
"PAUL!!!"
"RANUEN!!!"
While Paul immediately raced over to the badly burned mage, Kelsey threw herself at Liderc. She unleashed a massive swarm of black tentacles from her aura, ensnaring his arms, his legs, his waist, his naginata, his wings, anything she could get her shadows on, then she hoisted him into the air. "YOU STAY THE F*** AWAY FROM HIM!!!!!"
"Ranuen..." Paul dropped to his knees and leaned over his fallen friend, avoiding touching him just yet out of fear of worsening the pain. "Holy s***, dude, are you alright?? Can you move?? Can you... anything?!"
