Full Name: Flannel
Nickname(s): Keaton (his ‘human name’)
Age: Mid-twenties, by appearance. Actual age unknown.
Height: Fairly tall
Weight: On the heavy side, due to muscle.
Gender: Male
Race: Wolfskin.
Alliance: Neutral Good
Home: Mount Garou, Nohr.
Franchise: Fire Emblem (Fates)
Physical Description
Keaton is a fairly well-built man who dresses sharply despite being of a more ‘wild’ race. He wears a stylish outfit with a white long-sleeved shirt (with a good part of the chest bared) and a black vest over it, what looks like black leather pants with brown side pouches, reddish-brown gloves, and brown leather boots. He has reddish-orange eyes, and black hair with a white stripe down the middle; his short tail and furry ears share a similar color scheme; refer to the picture for better detail.
Weapons and Accessories
Keaton does not have any conventional weapons upon arrival; he only uses his Claws. They do not wear out, grow stronger with repeated use, and can rend flesh and break bone.
When not transformed, Keaton is capable of giving a solidly hard Punch attack to counter attackers.
(Claw stats: 11 Mt, 70 Hit, 0 Crit, 0 Avo, 0 Ddg)
(Punch stats: 2 Mt, 70 Hit, 0 Crit, 0 Avo, 0 Ddg)
Abilities/Powers
As a Wolfskin, Keaton is capable of transforming using the powers within a Beaststone. Due to getting splattered with a strange chemical shortly upon arrival, he can build up energy within himself and transform into a more powerful beast form.
Keaton has several combat skills available to him, starting with his Personal Skill, Collector[/i]. Fairly straightforward, due to his scavenger nature, Keaton has a chance during the early stages of battles (Lck%) to gather three ores/foodstuffs per ‘turn’.
‘Odd Shaped’ allows him to deal 4 more damage on odd-numbered turns, utilizing his natural biorhythm, opposite of a Kitsune’s.
His next skill, ‘Beastbane’, is also straightforward. Being a hunter, Keaton’s capable of utilizing his beast form to strike vital points on other beasts and enemies riding on horses.
His final skill is one that he doesn’t remember learning; ‘Rally Strength’ allows him to empower nearby allies’ Strength by 4 for a brief period, via a powerful howl.
Weaknesses
Keaton has pitiful resistance to magic. While he is physically durable and can handle hits from non-Beast-Slaying weaponry or from folks with the Beastbane skill, magic hurts. As a beast, he is especially vulnerable to Fire magic.
While Keaton can maintain his transformed state without a stone for a decently long time, it takes him a while to build up the energy to transform.
...He also has an atrocious sense of direction. If he doesn’t have a trail to follow, he will get lost wandering around somewhere.
Skills
Keaton is a skilled tracker and hunter, and has some leadership ability due to his time as the leader of his pack of Wolfskin on Mt. Garou.
He can cook… but it’s not recommended to let him. His cooking usually comes out, as others would describe it, Revolting.
Personality
Keaton’s personality has two ‘modes’, essentially. One side is his goofy and well-meaning side, the side that likes to make others happy and wants to impress others regardless of what it means to him. This is the side of Keaton that is fascinated by things that most others would find to be garbage or otherwise generally unpleasant/unwanted.
The other side? Wild and often cruel. Keaton typically prefers messier areas, and doesn’t bother keeping his fur that clean most of the time. He was often fiercely protective of his territory and his pack, being very open of the fact that he has eaten people that attempted to harm him and his pack… to the point where one couldn’t walk three steps without finding human remains around Mt. Garou.
That said, Keaton is fiercely protective of the folks he cares about, and is a very steadfast friend. His most cruel side only comes out when he is seeing red with anger. There is nearly no reasoning with him when he’s like that.
History
Keaton was born on Mount Garou in Nohr; much of his past is unknown, but he eventually became the leader of his pack. While his life was fairly simple for the most part, that changed when the Hoshidan Army came through Mount Garou enroute to the capital city of Nohr.
Keaton confronted the group, demanding to know if they intended to kill his people for their pelts. While Corrin was able to convince Keaton that that wasn’t the case, a magical landmine that had been left detonated, killing one of the Wolfskin that had been with Keaton. Enraged, having believed he’d been lied to, Keaton called his pack in and they attacked the army. In the end, however, they were overpowered, and Keaton died, him and his pack having been killed in self-defense.
Meanwhile, concurrently to the above…
Wandering down from the mountain to add more things to his collection, Keaton wound up in the town of Cyrkensia. Seeing an unfolding battle between the Nohrian army and the Hoshidan force attempting to kill King Garon, he saw an unusual-looking lady, Corrinne, and went to her, asking for directions back to Mount Garou. While she wasn’t able to help him, he ultimately agreed to join her group, ultimately seeing the conflict through to its end.
However…
When Keaton became aware of intruders on the mountain, he was met by Corrinne. She warned him of the incoming army, and was asked to kill the leader, Corrin, and get his weapon. From how she described the weapon, it didn’t interest Keaton enough for the wolfskin to want to add it to his collection, so he agreed. Ultimately, despite their ambush attack, he and his pack were felled, leaving Corrinne angry at what had occurred.
That isn’t quite right, though…
Keaton found himself traveling with Corrinne’s army, and saw the Hoshidan army, and the manakete’s twin. Keaton fought Corrin on a few occasions, despite the male manakete’s dislike of the fighting, and when Ryoma died, Keaton arrived at the ‘duel’ chamber just in time to see Corrin being electrocuted to death by the power of the Raijinto which he had taken from the fallen Ryoma.
He returned home, but what he had seen had stuck with him. The war had changed him.
That isn’t how it ends, however.
Keaton, in his wanderings, ended up in Cyrkensia, meeting the Kitsune, Kaden. The two witnessed the town being attacked by… something. They couldn’t quite see exactly what, but they could sense it, and leapt into battle to defend the town, trying to keep the damaged buildings stable enough for folks to flee. Both of them got attacked for their trouble
When a small force lead by Corrin and Corrinne arrived in the town, Keaton and Kaden explained what was going on, getting healed by Sakura. Hoshidan and Nohrian forces arrived in Cyrkensia as they spoke, however, and started fighting, each blaming the other. Keaton joined Corrinne’s strike force, going left to try and get the Nohrians to stop fighting. Fighting alongside the manakete, Keaton used his beast form to knock Xander off his horse, and ultimately they were able to take down the invisible soldiers responsible.
Keaton joined the united force along with Kaden, and eventually, the group jumped into the Bottomless Canyon. Whatever the wolfskin had been expecting to see, an icy land was not part of his idea.
