Grounded: Disgruntled pilot Lydia Pendleton gets drunk at the club while waiting for her date to show up and has an argument with her ex-girlfriend Max Niles.
Lost and Not Found: Percy Worcester-Isaac, with help from the cyborg Ryan Summers, searches for his missing, drunken friend William Lowe. A catlike creature stalks them throughout their search.
–DAY 1–
Back to Work: Lydia wakes up with a hangover and is reprimanded by her boss/father, Dr. David Pendleton, for being late for her next mission.
Failure to Launch: After making amends with Jack for their ruined date, Lydia is placed inside her submersible pod and shrunk to microscopic size. Before she can be sent out on her mission, the lab is attacked by members of a rival corporation, who steal one of two microchips and destroy much of their equipment. Jack manages to escape with the miniaturized pod.
Target Acquired: Jack is pursued and eventually shot by the assassin Mr. Stone. Before succumbing to his wounds, Jack finds the unconscious William in the back alleys and injects the pod into his body.
The Wrong Guy: While William and Percy have an altercation with Liderc, Lydia wakes up and hooks into William's eyes, quickly deducing that something has gone wrong.
Great, Now We Both Have Snarky Voices in Our Heads!: Percy takes William to the hospital to check up on his strange symptoms. There, Lydia realizes she's been injected into the wrong person and makes audio contact with William with embarrassing results.
Two Birds, One Stone: Mr. Stone sets up a meeting between Liderc and his boss, Dr. Cora Michaels. They agree that Dr. Michaels will repair Liderc's ship if he brings William to her.
Gimme the Pizza Man: William and Percy run into Ryan at the mall. Lydia again tries to communicate with William, this time managing to explain who she is and direct him to the lab to get her extracted.
Back to the Lab: While Imago takes over Percy's body to search for the creature that has been stalking them, William and Ryan take Lydia back to Mexus. Once there, they learn of the break-in, are told that they cannot extract Lydia due to the damages and missing microchip, and discover that not only is the pod's oxygen supply running out, but Dr. Pendleton intends to use them to lure the perpetrators, even if it means sacrificing Lydia. She, William and Ryan escape.
Putting Trouble on the Run: Lydia, William and Ryan go to Lydia's apartment to search her files for the names her father provided. When they find no leads, they take a moment to drink, dance, and get to know one another.
Old Flames: Lydia, William and Ryan track down Max, soliciting her help in finding the culprits, with Lydia forcing the boys to keep her current state a secret. Max points them to LunArc, Dr. Michaels' organization. Will is subsequently captured by Liderc, with Max and Ryan following.
Any Kind of Support: Percy runs into Rio in the park. Through a scrying spell, they discover that William has been kidnapped by Liderc and brought to Mr. Stone. A flying car chase ensues between Mr. Stone's Mercedes and Mickey's camper van, ending with Percy, William and Lydia escaping and reuniting with Max and Ryan. At Lydia's insistence, William refuses Rio's offer to help them, much to Max's chagrin.
Of Doctors and Cats: Mara visits Mexus, reveals her knowledge of Lydia's current predicament, and offers to retrieve the pod and missing microchip in exchange for the shrinking technology. Dr. Pendleton declines and Mara departs for the time being. He then orders the miniaturization project to be decommissioned once they have the chips back.
Let's Not Lose Our Heads Now!: The team goes to William and Percy's hotel room to lay low and unwind. Max schedules an interview with a LunArc employee for the next day. While the rest of the team rests and prepares for the mission, Lydia reveals to William her troubled history with Mexus, her guilt over her actions, and her desire to put an end to the miniaturization project.
#WhatIsThePhoenixProject: Following his mortal wounding, Jack is transported to a mental realm where he realizes that he was subjected to the Phoenix Project, a defunct Mexus program that imbued him with resurrection capabilities. Tapping into his newfound powers, he is able to return to the land of the living.
From the Ashes: Jack resurrects in the company of Avenger, a heroic spirit safeguarding his body. Avenger offers to help Jack save Lydia and stop her pursuers, all while Jack discovers the psychic abilities afforded to him by his awakened phoenix blood.
Cat-22: Mara visits the Trio of Three, revealing to them the details of the miniaturization project and the fact that Rio was Lydia's original target.
–DAY 2–
My Shot: Jack leads Avenger to Mexus and confronts Dr. Pendleton on the Phoenix Project and Lydia's current whereabouts. Using Jack's new powers, they discover that one of their employees is a Brocken Spectre who exposed the miniaturization project to LunArc; he escapes before he can be questioned further. Dr. Pendleton sends Jack and Avenger to find Lydia.
The Continuing Adventures of Mr. Blue Sky: Lydia, William, Max, Percy and Ryan wake up and prepare themselves for their interview with LunArc.
Face the Facts: The team arrives at LunArc's research facility. Under Lydia's influence, William knocks out the man conducting the interview and disguises himself as him. The team discovers that the main facility is on the moon and escape on a jet, pursued by Liderc, while Percy is left behind.
Really, Any Kind of Support Would Be Nice!: Percy reunites with the Trio of Three to ask for their help in rescuing William. After exchanging information and developing a course of action, Rio scrys on William to determine his location.
Outside In: William, Max and Ryan arrive at LunArc's moon base and are immediately captured. While confined, with Lydia's consent, William and Ryan finally reveal the truth to Max. Dr. Michaels injects a miniaturized Mr. Stone into William to locate Lydia and the pod's microchip. William then escapes with Max and Ryan's help, retrieving the stolen chip but accidentally shrinking Dr. Michaels and her crew to half their height in the process.
A Day in the Sun: The team returns to the island, pursued by Liderc, Dr. Michaels and the LunArc crew. Dr. Michaels mind-controls Percy into attacking his own allies, leading to a free-for-all between William's team, Percy, LunArc, the Trio of Three, Jack and Avenger. Cat and Mickey drive Liderc away, Jack kills Dr. Michaels, and Lydia kills Mr. Stone via William's stomach acid. The group is then escorted away in the Trio of Three's camper van. Meanwhile, the spectre makes off with Dr. Michaels's soul.
Bring Her Home: The team makes it back to Mexus, where Lydia is finally extracted and returned to normal size. She makes amends with her father, who shuts down the Proteus Project and deactivates all(?) of the nanomachines she had implanted in her hosts. Lydia then breaks away from the group to settle matters with the Trio of Three and take a walk alone.
