Franchise: Starless Skies over Dimensional Island (Nemesis)
Physical Description
Flint takes the appearance of a tall, somewhat muscular young man with dark brown hair with some pale blonde at the tips, and a medium brown skin tone. He keeps stubble on his chin, and has a number of scars on his body, the most notable being a cut on his cheek and an X-shaped scar on his chest. Flint typically wears a short green jacket, matching pants, tall black boots, a black belt with a gold buckle, a gold belt chain, and gold bracelets with green gems. He additionally wears a gold collar with a green gemstone, dangling a piece of actual flint and a fang. His usual expression is grinning, exposing his oversized canine teeth. As a spirit familiar, his formerly-blue eyes have turned a pure white.
Shifted, Flint takes the form of a dark plum-coloured wyvern approximately the size of an elephant, with dark green wings and pure white eyes. He lacks true teeth, instead having a jagged jaw. Mirroring his hair, his scales are speckled with lighter off-purple markings.
Weapons and Accessories
Flint has no need for a weapon due to his ability to transform. While he does carry a knife on his person, it is strictly for cutting fruit or meat.
Abilities/Powers
Being half dragon pelt, Flint has the ability to transform into a large dragon at will. He also has enhanced senses, even while untransformed, although not quite to the extent of a full pelt. As Kelsey’s familiar, he naturally possesses a high resistance to demonic energy.
As a spirit, he has displayed the ability to breathe ice, starting as just a simple blast of cold air, but has the potential to grow into a full-fledged snowstorm if left going long enough.
Weaknesses
Like all pelts, Flint has no magical talent whatsoever and is highly vulnerable to magic himself. While shifted, he is also weak to scale-breaking weapons. It should be noted that his human heritage somewhat protects Flint from these, as he is more magically tolerant than a full pelt.
Skills
Flint is good at hunting, whether it be by land or sky, shifted or not, and is capable of keeping himself hidden from his prey (animal or human) until it's too late. While inept at cooking most of the time, he can also grill a mean steak... Just so long as you don't mind him accidentally mixing up your beef steak with his human steak. Thanks to his senses and profession, he's also quite good at reading people's true intentions. Finally, Flint is surprisingly good at organizing things; namely precious metals and gemstones.
Personality
Flint, in life, was capable of brutality towards humans, or people he just plain disliked. Some of this savage side remains in death, manifesting as a lack of mercy for his enemies; he’s not above offering to eat his fallen foes, even if his ability to do so is dubious as a spirit. Even with his brutal streak mostly suppressed, he can be a bit of a grouch.
That being said, Flint is kind-hearted towards his fellow pelts and sister (and most nonhuman sentient beings in general), and attempts to act as an older brother figure towards those younger than him. To the few humans that have earned his respect, Flint is unflinchingly loyal, and would gladly put his life on the line for them. As a familiar, he has an innate sense of submission towards Kelsey, although he’s not afraid to make his opinions known. (Just be warned that Flint will deny that he is nice. He’ll claim he was just passing through or did it out of pity)
History
Flint's childhood is unknown for the most part, aside from a few missing-people cases in Erpoue being potentially linked to him. He and his younger twin sister, Val, owe Seeker a debt, and swore their services to the mysterious rogue hunter.
While trailing a missing person in the Death Forest, he encountered a fox pelt named Obsidian, and the two prepared to fight... Only to team up when something else attacked them. Obsidian heard his story and gave him the body as proof that he had completed his mission. He met with her several times afterwards, introducing her to Val and Seeker. He may or may not have noticed some temporal abnormalities in this unstable world they call home.
One day, Seeker lead Flint and Val in pursuit of their "biggest mark yet" through a portal, although he was separated from the two in the process…
He reunited with his comrades when a meteor crashed, carrying slime and a monster from another world. Flint carried Seeker, Val, and Alaric away from the impact, but was knocked down himself.
Two days later, he and Val investigated a strange display at the local museum, where Flint took a liking to a blue dragon man, much to said blue dragon man’s dismay. Sensing danger, he transformed, and made an attempt to guard Paul against Vutezoth. The black dragon swatted him aside, and crushed Flint like a twig.
Flint doesn’t quite know how he ended up at a beach, or who these other guys are. But hey, at least he didn’t end up in the burning place.
Other
Flint does not like carrots. Seriously, put a carrot in his face and he'll punch you. Has a largely-unexplained Boston accent.
