Full Name: Tharja
Nickname(s): ‘Sunshine’ (by her husband)
Age: 21
Height: Fairly average height
Weight: Light, though she’ll hex you if you ask her directly.
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Alliance: Mostly neutral.
Home: Plegia, Archanea/Ylisse
Franchise: Fire Emblem (Awakening)
Physical Description
Tharja’s outfit, while fairly standard for Dark Mages, is one that would be considered fairly unusual for most magic-users, in that it is quite revealing. It might be better just to look at the picture, since it’s very difficult to describe in words. Tharja herself is a fairly slender woman with pale complexion and very dark hair.
Weapons and Accessories
Upon arrival to the island, Tharja has three different weapons with her. The first is a unique Dark tome called Aversa’s Night. Made by Aversa herself, it is a powerful Dark spell that is a modified Nosferatu, allowing Tharja to heal her injuries off of the damage she deals. It is not very durable due to those modifications, however, and only has enough power for ten uses before the tome becomes useless.
Next is Ruin, another powerful Dark tome. While it is a fairly inaccurate spell, it is incredibly potent when it comes to hitting critical points on enemies. While it has more uses available than Aversa’s Night, it still is not ideal for extended use.
Finally, she has an Elfire tome. Elfire is a fairly basic Anima spell that does good damage; being a Fire spell, it has some effectiveness against beasts, and has good usability.
Abilities/Powers
Tharja is very skilled with dark magic, specializing in hexes and curses. Despite what the name would imply, they are not inherently negative; they are, in her own words, a means to make dreams a reality. Whether that is a good thing or a bad thing depends on the user.
She is also capable of removing and deflecting those kinds of spells.
Weaknesses
While Tharja’s dark magics offer more protection than her outfit would imply she has, she is still a mage, and has to rely on vitality-draining spells such as Nosferatu and Aversa’s Night in order to heal herself should she take damage.
Light magic has an advantage over her dark spells, reducing their effectiveness.
Skills
Tharja has several skills for combat purposes.
Her Personal Skill, Fixation, has the following effect: “When battling a unit that has already been battled this map, +2 damage per battle.” As Tharja battle enemies, she fixates on their weaknesses, getting stronger with each fight.
Hex and Anathema both have roots in her dark magic abilities, and debuff enemies in various ways. Hex reduces the Avoid of adjacent enemies by 15 and Anathema reduces the Avoid and Critical Avoid of enemies a short distance away from her by 10.
Besides that, Tharja is skilled with divination, and has some cooking ability, though what she makes is best considered Eccentric in design.
Personality
Tharja, despite what some folks might think, is not flirtatious. She is, in fact, quite the opposite. She is asocial at best in most cases, and straight-up antisocial at worst. She often prefers to be alone to do her work, and in most cases will only really do things that interest her. She can be prone to being flustered if caught off-guard by things, as emphasized when her sex appeal was pointed out to her by Cordelia, as she is more self-conscious than one would believe.
Her obsessiveness typically manifests as a fixation, either on an idea, a project, or a person.
She does not tend to devote herself to ideals, instead preferring to follow by merit of others.
Tharja is also not very good at expressing the way she feels; both her husband and daughter can attest to that fact.
History
Tharja was born in Plegia and grew up there, though most of her past is unknown. When war broke out between Plegia and Ylisse, a few days prior to her conscription into Gangrel’s forces, she had a dream, too realistic to seem as just a dream, involving a blond-haired man, mostly obscured by his hood.
The darkness surrounding the man only sparked Tharja’s curiosity, and her mind fixated on the one she saw… who she met face to face not long after, when Chrom’s forces attacked Castle Plegia in their attempt to rescue the Exalt, Emmeryn.
Feeling no particular loyalty to her homeland and, in fact, despising Gangrel and seeing him unworthy of the crown, Tharja joined Chrom’s forces. While she spent a lot of time stalking Robin, she did get closer to some of the others in the army; not long after she had married the thief, Gaius, she met her daughter from the future, Noire.
Eventually, the fight became more dire as Grima awoke. Tharja had a personal bone to pick with the dragon, as his dark influence had clouded her mind, making her obsession with Robin more and more deep.
Grima was defeated by Robin’s hand, and the dragon was destroyed for good. Robin himself had disappeared, though he did return after a while. Tharja was unsure just how that had happened, but found that ultimately, she didn’t care too much about the details.
Gaius went back into his thief work, and Tharja opened up a shop in Ylisse, selling various magical trinkets, and offering hexes and curses.
After a while, however, she found herself drawn not far from the Outrealm Gate, to that same portal that Robin had gone through...
