"... Ow."
With a deadpan frown, Lark snuffed out the stocking with his hand, before placing it to the side of his head. "Okay. Now my head hurts. Is there anything else I should be aware of before I try a different type of tracking spell this time?" He removed his hand, an ice pack stuck where his palm had been. "Or do we need to do this search the hard way? And not the fun type of hard."
Shooting an unamused look at the charred area, Lark snapped his fingers. At once, it was like nothing ever caught fire. "So, what does Imago have to say about this?"
Pass the popcorn. Or find my landlord already.

Kelsey let out a disgruntled sigh and shot to her feet. "He's basically just saying that we need to find Percy now. That being said, I don't actually know if it's possible to track Tri by any means. He's never actually listed every single one of his powers to me. Only the ones that are relevant at any given moment. So we're probably gonna have to organize an old-fashioned search party if no other options are available to us."
She folded her arms and scowled at the window. "There's also no telling how easy Tri, being the sanguine bastard that he is, will make this for us, even though he knows full well that his power in the hands of someone other than me is lethal."
Then Kelsey looked to the ceiling. "So to hopefully speed up this process... Imago, what exactly can I do now? Like I said, I only have a vague understanding of Percy's usual powers, and even then I'm not sure how much of that comes from his angel blood and how much comes from you."

"Oh, joy. Just what we need. A cagey bastard." Lark twirled a braid, trying to distract himself from cursing out Tri. "I'm gonna get people who can actually track. Or just fast people. If ya find him, just say may name six times, knock on the nearest tree once, then say my name another six times." With a swish of his cloak, Lark was gone.
Finally, I can speak. That man always annoyed me. Kelsey certainly would be feeling the eye roll on that. And now, onto actual practical questions.
I will not lie to you. If you don't get an answer you need, you merely did not ask the right questions. Well, she was already more interesting than Percy in this regard. My deal with you is lacklustre compared to your normal one with Tri, I'm afraid. Let's be honest about this. Side effect of actually being comprehensible by mortal minds.
You can use all of my magic, shadow and non-elemental alike, in addition to being able to manipulate shadows. This is also a bit different... It seems as though you will be able to summon my old weapon, a whip, if you focus. And while you may not get to double-dip on the physical advantages, or as much as you enjoyed with Tri, having me inside you will make you stronger and tougher than a normal human.
The thoughts came to a halt, Imago seemingly thinking about how to phrase this. ... Do not tell Percy that I have been withholding this ability from him. I am an Ira-type demon. If you build up enough anger, you can enter a berserker rage, where the more damage you take, the harder you hit. Three guesses why I didn't tell him.

"I guess more eyes would be useful. Can't guarantee I'm gonna remember that pattern, though," Kelsey sighed before Lark disappeared into the aether. After that, she slowly paced over to the window, leaning against the frame and staring out at the city, listening intently as Imago conversed with her...
It didn't come as much of a surprise or even a disappointment that Kelsey's powers had been significantly nerfed. She had seen that much coming. Still, the things Imago rattled off did earn inquisitive nods from her. Adjusting to his specific variety of demon magic could prove tricky, but shadows were nothing she wasn't used to. A whip could certainly be interesting, if again, something that might require a bit of practice. She had to let out a light snicker at the mention of Imago's berserker power and Percy's ignorance to this ability. "I'll keep that in mind. My lips are sealed."
Kelsey looked back over her shoulder at Will, directing her voice mostly at Imago but just loud enough for Will to hear in case he had an answer. "Any idea where that walking apocalypse might be headed?"

Hmm, if I were an illiterate idiot who suddenly inherited phenomenal eldritch power, including the ability to fly without compromising my defences, where would I go...?
From the corner of Kelsey's eye, Imago saw Will come into view, the blonde's face going through an interesting roulette of emotions before settling on disappointment, likely at Lark. And look, we have his so-called best friend. Should I tell him my former landlord probably wants to get with-
"... I'm... going to assume Lark pissed off." Some help his sister's creepy magic teacher was! "Ugh... if I had to guess..." Will leaned back against a wall, thinking... "Probably the back alleys. That, or somewhere where he can find audiobooks. Is that what they're called around here?"

Kelsey took a deep breath and pushed away from the window sill. "Yeah, he said something about gathering more trackers since Tri can naturally block any extrasensory attempt to locate him. Gonna have to stick to old-school search and rescue tactics."
She folded her arms and pursed her lips, mostly ignoring Imago's latter quips while soaking in Will's suggestions. "Yeah, audiobooks. So the back alleys or... I guess the library? I doubt Percy has the technological know-how to sign up for Audible." A quick shrug. "Well, we gotta start somewhere, I guess. You with us, Will?"

"I guess so," Will said with a shrug. "Okay, let's bag this scruffy-haired sibfo. ... Don't ask what that means, please." Well, that's an interesting shade of red. "So... uh... I'll check one place if you wanna check the other?"
That means you just got volunteered for the back alleys.
"Uhm, uh, you mind checking the back alleys? I'll check the library? ... I'm so sorry man."
Told you.

Kelsey didn't have to question. She had a pretty decent idea what Will meant. Again, she had to laugh at both Will's request and Imago's smug insight. "It's fine, dude. I can handle any smelly old back alley. Kinda have to get used to checking over your shoulder when you live on a college campus." Life lessons learned the hard way.
"So..." Kelsey briskly started marching towards the door, anxious to get this freakshow on the road already. "How should we keep in touch? You want we should meet back up somewhere after some time?"

"Er, wanna meet at the food court when the sun hits about the halfway mark? I've got some cash, I'll buy you lunch if you read the menus." Will walked over to the door, holding it open and ushering Kelsey out. "Ladies first and all."
All human food tastes weird to me. What's wrong with raw meat after the kill?
"Hopefully we find Percy before he, uh, dies. Besides, I need to hit him. He acts like he thinks I don't know I've noticed him eyeing... well, you know who. Like that."

"Sounds like a plan," Kelsey hummed as she stepped out of the room and hastily made her way down the hotel hallway. Her expression was one of frustration, determination, but also a clear amount of concern. "Heaven only knows when things will go from bad to worse, let alone from worse to completely hellish. Let's just see if we can't find Percy and Tri before we reach that mark."
