Full Name: Spyro
Nickname(s): N/A
Age: Presumably 12-13
Height: Approx. 2 ½-3 ft.
Weight: Approx. 110 lbs.
Gender: Male
Race: Dragon
Alliance: Good
Home: The Artisan World of the Dragon Realms
Franchise: Spyro
Physical Description
Spyro is rather small, reaching about to the waist of an adult human, and walks on all fours. His body is covered predominantly in purple scales, while his curved horns, his underbelly, the crests atop his head, and the spike on the tip of his tail are yellow. His eyes are purple, his hands and feet are tipped with claws, and his wings are yellow with orange membranes.
Weapons and Accessories
He generally doesn't wield weapons, but he's not adverse to picking up and hurling a few projectiles now and then, and he'll hop in vehicles when the situation calls for it.
Abilities/Powers
Spyro possesses several abilities typical of dragons, such as being able to glide with his wings. He's rather strong, enough to knock down opponents much bigger than him when he charges at them with his horns, and to smash open certain objects either with a charge or by slamming into them from above. He can breathe fire, and under magical influence, his flames can be strengthened, or he can exhale other elements such as ice and electricity. He also possesses a unique bond with Sparx the Dragonfly, who can absorb any damage Spyro takes within a certain limit.
Weaknesses
Given that he's still young, Spyro still has a bit of growing to do. He's not quite capable of full, self-sustained flight without magical assistance, and his strength does have its limits; he has a hard time knocking down particularly large enemies, and without Sparx around to cushion the damage he takes, he's rather vulnerable. Due to his quadrupedal stance, it's also hard for him to use his hands while in motion.
Skills
Spyro's a rather experienced adventurer and combatant. He's able to hold his own in a fight against enemies many times his size and possessing much more formidable powers, if not with a direct attack, then with his quick wits and adaptability. Along with his natural draconic abilities, he's also adept at swimming, climbing, and operating certain vehicles. Being an artisan dragon, he does possess some inherent creative inclinations –painting, sculpting, acting, music– though these skills are still decidedly rough around the edges.
Personality
Spyro has an immutable sense of courage, heroism and friendliness, as well as a fiery disposition. He has little concern for his own safety and can be irresponsible at times, being extremely eager, curious and hardly ever cautious, which can get him into trouble. He can, at times, be cocky, mischievous, and a bit of a showoff, charging headlong into danger and readily taunting those who oppose him. But he also has a more mature side that simply wants to do what's right by him and the people he cares about. He has great respect for those close to him or who ask for his help, and once you have his trust, Spyro is a faithful friend and hero.
History
During a time of peace in the Dragon Realms, Spyro was born and raised alongside the dragonfly Sparx in the Artisan Worlds, where they led fairly normal lives among the elder dragons. When Spyro reached his prepubescent years, Gnasty Gnorc, in response to derogatory comments made about him on the Dragon News Network, cast a spell that froze all the dragons in the realms in crystal. Spyro was able to evade this spell due to his small stature, and thus he took it upon himself to travel across the Dragon Realms and free every captive dragon, combatting Gnasty's minions and collecting stolen treasure along the way. Eventually his journey led him to Gnorc Gnexus, where Spyro challenged and defeated Gnasty on his own turf.
Sometime after this adventure, Spyro sought to treat himself and Sparx to a vacation in Dragon Shores. However, their portal was intercepted and transported them to the realm of Avalar, where he met Elora the faun, Hunter the cheetah, and Professor the mole. The three had brought Spyro to Avalar so that he could help them defeat Ripto, a dragon-hating tyrant who sought to conquer the realm. Unable to return home due to Ripto destroying the portal, Spyro agreed, traversing the worlds of Avalar, helping the citizens settle various problems plaguing their homes, and collecting talismans and magic orbs that could help them combat Ripto and his henchmen. Soon enough, Spyro had defeated Ripto, after which the Professor repaired the portal and Spyro and Sparx to their much-needed vacation.
Then came the Year of the Dragon, when new eggs were brought to the Dragon Realms. Hunter accompanied Spyro to the celebration, after which they and all the dragons fell asleep. At that moment, a rabbit named Bianca and an army of Rhynocs, under the command of a wicked Sorceress, invaded the Dragon Realms and stole every egg. Spyro and Hunter followed their trail to the Forgotten Realms and began a quest to reclaim the scattered eggs. Along the way, they were joined by several natives of the realms –Sheila the kangaroo, Sgt. Byrd the penguin, Bentley the yeti, and Agent 9 the monkey– who offered to help Spyro on his journey. Eventually, Spyro and Hunter learned that the Forgotten Realms were the dragons' former home, but the Sorceress had banished them many years ago; ever since then, the magic of the realms had begun to fade. Bianca aided the Sorceress believing that bringing dragons back would restore their magic, but upon learning that the Sorceress only wanted their wings for a spell that would grant her immortality, Bianca betrayed her mentor and helped Spyro defeat her.
Soon enough, every egg had been reclaimed and Spyro and his friends returned to the Dragon Realms. They lived there in harmony for quite some time after. One day, a mysterious storm hit the Artisan Homeworld, prompting Spyro and Sparx to enter a portal to a presumably less blustery realm. Lightning struck their portal just as they passed through, and on the other side, the duo found themselves in another, unfamiliar world...
Other
A brief description of Sparx the Dragonfly: He normally appears yellow with big, red-violet eyes, six legs with light blue claws, and transparent wings that reflect the surrounding color. As he absorbs Spyro's pain, he turns blue, then green, and then finally faints. He can regain energy by eating butterflies. He can also communicate with Spyro by buzzing.
Going by the Reignited Trilogy continuity, by the by.
