Something's not adding up...
Percy gave an involuntary flap of his oversized wings, dragging slightly on the ground. "I g-guess that makes sense... though what happened to me? Why didn't it try to attack me? I remember being in a dome of darkness, then actual darkness. And when I came to..." He turned around, glancing at the wings on his back.
"I have wings. And not the made-from-torso-flesh type. And they look too big for me. ... I wonder if that happened to Ma. Guess I'll have to ask da- the commander when I see him again." He let out a groan. "Is this belated puberty or something? Ugh. I've got enough to think about as-if."

"The shadow dome... that was me. Along with the meteorite, I think I held its attention well enough. It didn't seem too interested in anything else." Kelsey kept her gaze on the ground just low enough to know where she was going, avoiding eye contact with Percy. "I'm not entirely sure what to make of the wings. Sorry."
Her eyes briefly met Tri's. He nodded back to her, then faced forward again.
"But I think we may have yet another force at work here. Something is following me."

"... Is it whatever we fought in the woods? Whatever tried to take my soul but had to make do with Imago's? ... Augh, I really hope we can rescue that damn bug soon, I've got a lot of questions."
Percy glanced at Kelsey, then down at the ground. "So, it was after the meteor? What for? Did I like... get hit in the stomach or something? Because my gut hurts, and I've eaten dirt clumps before." His wings twitched slightly, lifting a few inches off the ground for a moment. "... I'm gonna see if I can find a tailor. I'm sure my favorite coat's ruined. Dammit. I really liked this coat."

"N-No..." Kelsey unconsciously placed a hand to her sternum, rubbing the knot in her chest. "I definitely felt its presence while we were fighting those creatures, but... this is something different. Something... familiar, somehow. Whatever it is, it knows my name."
A little word was echoing in the back of Kelsey's mind. One that seemed so new to her and yet she instinctively understood the deep, intrinsic meaning of.
Percy's mutterings brought Kelsey's attention back to him. She studied his wings out of the corner of her eye, then took a deep breath and picked up the pace slightly, remaining aware enough not to let him stumble. "I think we should both take some time to rest before we delve back into any kind of action. We've had two fights in the span of a few hours. Neither of us are in fantastic shape, let's be fair."
She grabbed the hand still slung over her shoulder and gave it a tender rub. "We'll get Imago back soon. I don't know how, but I'll be damned if I don't try."

Percy opened his mouth as if to protest, but closed it, making a clicking sound. "... Yeah, you're probably right. I'm normally fine with jumping into a fight, but I really don't feel up for it right now." The wings on his back were weighing him down, and he was glad for Kelsey's support. "... Thanks. I'm not sure if I could handle this alone. 'Specially since you get the whole head-demon thing."
Okay, but seriously, why me? Is it the balance between light and dark thing? There's gotta be more people like that. Maybe they're in some super-isolated space? ... Blargh, headache!
"... But if that monster shows up again... I wanna fight it." He let out a snort. "I'm gonna hit it twice. Once for myself, once for Imago, I'm sure he'd appreciate punching things in the snout."

Kelsey shot Percy a sad, awkward frown out of the corner of her eye, too concerned to respond. Then she looked ahead again, drawing her demon's attention with her gaze alone. "Tri...? You... You were being real with me back there, right? You weren't lying about...?"
Tri turned around and floated backwards, offering Kelsey a flat, almost disappointed smirk. "You know I don't lie. I'll withhold information. I'll be the sh*ttiest of sarcastic sh*ts. But I never lie." He turned back around. "Now let's get that little archon home before someone else gets hurt. This routine is already getting boring."
With a heavy sigh, Kelsey accepted that she wasn't getting any more information out of Tri for now. She had too many questions to count, but now was clearly not the time. Healing came first. "C'mon, Percy... It's gonna be a long enough week as it is. You'll get your chance, I'm sure."

"If this is light period two, I'm afraid of what the rest will be like."
Percy gave a weak chuckle as he continued walking, supported by Kelsey. "I think... yeah, I could definitely go for a nap. Will and I have a hotel room. ... Actually, wait, I don't have the key, Will does. I wonder if Lobo and Loba have a spare room." There was a retching sound, and Percy choked down a throat full of bile. "And some ginger or something. I've eaten dirt clods before and still didn't feel like this."
