Large red eyes gazed out into the mass of green and other arrays of colors. Bushes and flowers, vines, and many other types of berries and roots were all placed within this garden. Never had her eyes laid on such beauty all together in one place before. She was awed beyond belief as she inspected the colorful collection. Her right hand brushed away her jet black bangs that were growing longer by the days. Maybe there was some food or something around here? The berries she would not touch, as some could hold poison in them. It had been some time since she had last eaten in her quest. To find those who had been close to her was her goal. But it was so strange, Hisaye hardly remembered her own mother. What had happened to her beloved memories? She was only 4 years old, and it seemed everything was just fading away. Something was out of place. What was wrong, and where was she? Hisaye could only remember her mother's sweet face and soothing tone. She had fallen asleep to a lullaby...and had awoken all alone.
"Momma..." the four year old whimpered as she touched a lily's petals ever so softly. "Where are you, momma?"

Light wandered into the church. It would make a great hideout... And possibly a great place for worship of Kira. He stepped past the alter and into the garden. Yes, most likely it would make a great place of worship. The garden was lovely and would attract many people. That would show that Kira may have worked with murder, but he still knew beauty when it was there. But then he noticed the rose's thorn... The four-year-old girl who looked just like... Him.

"I-It can't be," Light said, mistaking Hisaye for L at first. He rubbed his eyes and took a closer look. It wasn't L, but she looked almost like him. Light was shocked. He did not know of L having any children... Could it be that she was illegitimate... Unwanted... Neglected? Was L too busy for her? Or maybe he just forgot...? He shook his head. There was no time to deal with that... Perhaps if he had her on his side, on Kira's side... But until he was certain she could follow Kira, he knew he had to act like a normal human being and not Kira. So he walked up to her and bent down, smiling. "Hello little girl... Did you lose your mother?" he asked.

Her hands continued to lightly gaze over the lily as her eyes held a saddened look. A voice caught her ears, making her head snap in the direction. Red eyes widened in surprise, she hadn't heard him there. Who was he? Hisaye grew wary and watched the man as he smiled at her. His question had hit home, somewhat. She had lost her mom, and she wanted her back! But..Hisaye didn't even know if her mom was here. She felt so lost and confused...maybe he could help her.
"...Yes sir..." Hisaye replied with a frown. "I did lose my momma...I have no clue where I am..."

[Felix Falora]

"You're in an old church garden... It's located in Void City, as I've learned its been called... Your eyes are... red," Light said. Light had never seen crimson red eyes like hers before. It was confusing... He had only seen those eyes on Ryuk... And he heard Ryuk chuckling behind him. The Shinagami knew something he didn't and Light knew he wouldn't tell.

"Void city...?" Hisaye mumured and her eyes widened in disbelief. "I-is that far away from Tokyo!?"
Where was she? She wasn't near home at all, was she!? Hisaye frowned at him and she looked rather worried. Her momma was in Tokyo, not here! How had she ended up her, anyways? Then he said something about her eyes being red, and Hisaye nodded.
"Hai...my momma has red eyes."

[Felix Falora]

"Well... Actually, it is," Light said, frowning. "Your mother has red eyes... I guess that'll make it easier to find her when we get back to Tokyo then," Light said.

Hisaye frowned sadly as she realized she was so very far away from home. She nodded very slowly and looked down at the ground. She wanted to go home...she wanted to find her mom. Yes...it couldn't be that hard to find her mom.
"Hey...who are you?"

[Felix Falora]

"My name... My name is Light Yagami," Light said.

Hisaye nodded, "my name is Hisaye...Lawliet, Hisaye....at least, my mom says so."
She tilted her head curiously at him, wondering something. She could've sworn she heard his name somewhere. But where had she heard it before?

[Felix Falora]

Lawliet... I've just found out your last name L... Now what's your first one... "Maybe I can help you find your mother if I also knew who she and your father was. I could find them using the directory and then bring you back to them," Light said.

"I don't know my dad..." Hisaye replied with a frown. "From what I've heard, my daddy is dead. He was killed by someone...and my momma has no true name. So, I don't know if you could find them that way or not..."

[Felix Falora]

Father dead... How can that be... If her father is L, then he can't possibly... What does this mean? Light thought. "I see... I'm sorry about your loss."

"I never knew him," Hisaye shrugged, but then smiled softly. "Thanks, though. I wished I could meet him. Momma always says great things about him..."
She looked around, "so, what're you gonna do, then?"
