The lyrics of Almost Human describe this greatly at the singer describes himself as who he is, who he wants to be, better then God and hating others. But there is also the playing that Emeraldi's good side is also inside her and she feels she is not human, yet if she could regain control, she could regain her humanity, thus being Almost Human in a way.

Reason: Playing off of the fact that the Shinichi of the dimension we know is dead, Dead Boy's Poem is a sad song that effectively tells Shinichi's tale. He was stupid enough to fall for Edward and suffered the consequences for it. His soul was destroyed by Masahiro after he was outted as the traitor he was. To hear of these events, Shinichi of the past would most likely be sad to hear of the monstrosity he had become in this dimension and attempt to keep himself from doing the same as he was now, thus going into seclusion and becoming a lonely soul. The child speaking in the poem could very well be what Shinichi is saying to Edward and the others.
