A few days had passed since the large, bloody battle. Veterens of the fight were recovering as best they could... though one remained forever scarred.
He was currently lying in bed, his eyes supported by dark rings of sleepless nights. He was wearing more casual, baggy clothes (he had thrown out his old, stained clothes; he could no longer stand to look at it) that resembaled his outfit of old... before all these complications happened.
He got in his fair share of fights, and he considered himself a fine brawler. He even beat Eddy once or twice in a sparring match. Subduing enemies wasn't a problem.
But... killing? Taking life? It was so mind-boggling different.
He barely remembered what set him off in the first place. One moment, he was in the sidelines, the next, every fiber in his body was struck with sudden bloodlust. He had never, ever experienced that before. It didn't seem... natural. Not at all.
Even so, his actions remained engraved in his mind; every punch, every drop of blood shed was so vivid in his memory. And as he clutched tighter at his pillow, fresh tears running rivers down his face, he regretted every bit of it.
(this is assuming he didn't know what Leon did to him, that he forgot the voice and everything)

"People die. The word is imperfect. But problems like that can be fixed, Eddward."
The voice belonged to a figment-- an illusion forcefully injected into Double D's mind. The Wizard stood over Edd's shoulder calmly. "Imagine a world without death or war or hatred-- one in which a superior mind acts as the judge and jury for all mankind."

(He didn't)
Masahiro had come back, fruitless in his efforts, though he did manage to bring Felix back, convincing him it wasn't his fault, despite the fact that Felix had just been in a bloody battle with Leon and had almost taken his life had it not been for the fact that Trevor had jumped in and aided Leon when he did. "Talk to him," Masahiro said.
"Can I? After losing control? After letting him... after becoming... and letting him become... Do I even deserve to...?" Felix asked, his eyes full of tears. The innocence had returned now that the battle was over and he had begun to realize the extremity of what he had done.
"You do more then I do the right of having friends," Masahiro said, sighing. "Everything I've done..."
"I thought we've been through this... We've forgiven you," Felix said.
"Shinichi fell, Felix," Masahiro said. Silence filled the air at that. "He let his emotions get to him and now he's... he's gone... He was the one who told me I'd never fall and go back to that... but I see now it was just a lie... I might become a monster again... After all that we've done... After the obstacles I've crossed... I might..."
Felix didn't know what to say. He just turned and walked into the room Double D was in.

Double D recognized the Wizard's voice, curling tighter inwards. "...leave me alone..." he feebily pleaded.

Felix noticed the Wizard as he walked in. Normally he would've pulled his sword, but at the moment, he was too tired to want to fight. "Go away!" he snarled.

(OOC: He's inside Double D's head.)
The Wizard shrugged at Edd's request. "Very well. I just came by for a vist, anyways." He adjusted his hat almost obsessive-compulsively and patted Double D on the shoulder. Someone who didn't know him better would have thought he was joking. They also would have thought he was sincere, though-- and they would have been wrong.
"You might want to consider my offer, though. There are going to be some major changes around here." The Wizard vanished as suddenly as he appeared-- at the speed of thought.

Edd shivered deeply, but was glad he was gone. At the sound of the door opening, he slowly, feebily glanced over, half his face buried in his pillow.
"...F...Felix..." he whimpered.

"Edward-chan... are you..." Felix said, coming near the bed Edd laid on before kneeling down before him.

Slowly, Double D sat up and dragged his gaze up to Felix. His usually bright gaze was hollow, eyes heavy with distraught.
"...I..." Ashamed, he looked away, shivering deeply. "...I... I'm a murderer..." he whimpered.

"That's a little harsh, you dork."
The voice came from Kevin, who had changed into what resembled his old clothes and who stood in the doorway. "I heard what happened. Thought I'd come and see if I could help any." He looked at Felix and Double D strangely. "Am I interrupting something?"

"Not really. I was just here to convince Edward-chan he's not a murderer, that's all," Felix said, his eyes low, drooping with despair.

"I....I.....!" A wet sob escaped his throat as he slumped helplessly against Felix. "...wh... what do I do...?... w-wishing death on someone is one thing, but..." He clutched at Felix's shirt tightly. "Killing is like... killing myself."
Raz was at the door, holding Marion in his arms. He was voted prime caretaker of the child while her parents recovered from the horror of their deeds. Quietly, he turned away.
"...I feel bad for him," he told the others in the room. "Really bad. I haven't killed anyone either... can't imagine how it would feel."

"It's hard to believe that anyone could do such a thing, but when it comes to defense, things sometimes must be done to preserve the future of your loved ones," Masahiro said.
"I know," Felix said, holding Edd close. "I know. It hurts... It always hurts... It's why I wanted to do it... So that you wouldn't have to... Because I knew you were too nice, Edward-chan... And that's what I've always loved about you... But let's face it, he threatened Marion, our daughter... Any parent would snap, but... I wanted to so that you wouldn't have to suffer this pain... and I failed... again..."

"I don't think he did the wrong thing..." Raz replied. "...considering what the creep had said..."
"He went overboard, that's what," Eddy spoke up. "That was a seriously bloody way to do it. Double D wasn't just angry; something weird happened to him."
Hardly listening to thier talk, Skywise was musing to himself, gazing idly at the door leading into their bedroom. Again, he remembered when another wolfrider was stricken with such grief, so much his arrows would never fly true...
...until he was able to apologize. Perhaps... it could work for this human as well.
"Yes, but..." Double D swallowed another sob. "I...I don't know what came over me... it was much less what he said or did, just... the overall hatred... it was just...too much..." He feverishly shook his head. "...I let myself lose control... it was my own undoing, not yours." He leaned into Felix's embrace. "...I'm glad our family is still intact, no doubt, but..." He looked down at his hands. "... my hands are forever stained with death... what will ever wash them away...?"

Kevin stared at Felix and Double D before looking at Raz in confusion. He looked at the child and then back at Double D. "Uh... I might need to leave. I've got a... thing that I'm late for. Yeah, yeah... g-good luck, Double D."
"Excuse me, but might I trouble you for some towels?"
The question was asked by Orson. He stood in the middle of the room and had appeared out of nowhere-- but, then again, what else was new? The time traveler looked around with a certain familiarity. "Wait, wasn't I just here?" He noticed Marion and then Double D. "No, looks like it's been a while since you had the baby. Things aren't going well, it seems."
Kevin's eyes widened at the mention of the word 'baby'. In shock, he looked around the room to see if anyone else had the same reaction "D-Double D killed a guy."
