Evening began to descend upon the household. The others would return soon after their own errands in a little bit; as Felix and Double D returned with the groceries, they were greeted by Raz and Marion.
"Hey, guys," Raz waved, Marion mirroring his movements delightfully.
"Mommy! Daddy!"
"Hello, sweetie!" Double D giggled, placing the groceries down and swooping in to take his daughter into his arms. He spun around a bit, getting Marion to giggle loudly. "Did you miss Daddy while he was gone?" he cooed, nuzzling her nose.
(start off sweet, as the title implies... then we'll know... what's truly "tender" to the touch... >:3)

Yes, Felix was mommy. Masahiro was there as well. "Welcome back," he said. "It's been a while."
"Yeah, we ran into... some complications," Felix said as he went over and kissed Marion softly on the cheek. "Did you miss Mommy as well?" he cooed softly with Double D.

Marion cooed in response, smiling brightly. Double D handed her over to Felix gently, giving him his turn with their child.
"Complications?" Raz asked, cocking his head.
"Yes... sorry about that," Double D apologized, scratching the nape of his neck sheepishly. "I was sightseeing a little bit with my free time, and, well, lost track of it."
Somehow, judging by Felix's foreboding words, Raz could tell that wasn't the full truth. He had the ability to pry into other people's thoughts... but wasn't the kind of person to do so. So he let it go.
"...alright. Invest in a watch, then."
Double D's face lightened up in a chuckle at that joke. "Haha, right."

"Need to remember to keep watch of time," Felix said softly as he held Marion softly, hugging her in the same fashion as he held her. "Otherwise this may happen more often... my mistake."

Raz glanced between Felix and Double D. So they both knew something had happened, something they weren't telling him or Masahiro. Oh well. It wasn't his business to ask, so he didn't.
Besides, Marion's happy cries were enough to loosen the tension between the two as they smothered her with affection. So there was no point in stoking the fire.
After flicking Marion's nose playfully, Double D took the groceries into hand. "I'll put the groceries away. Thank you for helping me carry them home, Felix."

"You're welcome," Felix said, then smiled as he carried Marion with him into the room. As he closed the door, though, a voice spoke out from the shadows.
"Poor, poor Felix... Unsuspecting of what's next to happen," he said.
Felix turned and his eyes widened as he saw Shinichi. "You!" he snarled, then went to open the door to get help when...
"Let go of the doorknob... Lillx..."
Felix felt his heart freeze and his body shake. His eyes widened and his breath stopped. "Wh-What did you...?"
"I know everything I need to know... Lillx... also the name of your beloved as well... And now I have everything I need to take what is mine."

Marion whimpered, curling close to Felix in his arms. Something about Shinichi was frightening her senseless.
"Felix?" Raz knocked on the door. "Is everything okay in there?"
(btw, being their daughter, Marion will subconsciously know her parents' soul name, and they'll know hers. As far as I know, anyways XD)

Shinichi smirked, getting cocky. "Go on... Lillx... Open the door now."
Felix grimaced, then opened the door, exposing him and Shinichi to the rest of them.
"Hello everyone!" Shinichi stated, smirking.
Masahiro immediately drew his sword. "Bastard! What the hell are you doing here?!" he shouted.
"I am here to claim what it rightfully mine... The boy."
"I won't let it happen!" Masahiro yelled.
Felix looked down, a sad look on his face as he heard Shinichi whisper something... and then his sword was at Masahiro's neck. "Forgive me," he sobbed.
"F-Felix..." Masahiro stuttered.
"Good boy... Lillx," Shinichi said, smirking at Felix's shivering.
"... Lillx... Wait..." Masahiro suddenly understood and anger flowed like blood and fire through his veins. "You mother fu...!" A mental call for reinforcements was immediately sent throughout the apartment.

"What the!?!" Raz exclaimed, pushed over in Felix's path.
Upon hearing the commotion, along with his beloved's soul name, Double D tore into the living room, gawking at the sight before him.
"Felix!!" Glancing at Shinichi, it didn't take him long to figure out what was happening. "Sh... Shinichi!!" Without thinking twice, he hurried in and grabbed the Fallen by the shirt. "What're you... how'd you...!?... What do you WANT from us??"

"What I want is you... my dear Ddwen," Shinichi said, smirking at the reactions both Felix and Double D gave.
"You... I'll..." Felix growled, but...
"Back off Lillx," Shinichi said, causing Felix to fall back.
"Brother!" Masahiro snarled. "I'll never forgive you for this! As long as I draw breath, you'll never regain your wings!"

Double D gasped tightly, as if his heart and lungs were constricting at the very utterance of that secret name... one that was once so sacred, all his own...
"....ooohhhhh...!" he groaned miserably, shivering deeply until he finally collapsed in Shinichi's arms, unable to find himself to pull away. Never had he felt so weak, so vulnerable...
"Daddy!!" Marion cried out.
Raz recognized that face, that condition... his eyes widened in realization at the painful memory. "...you're not...!... n-no way...!"

"Looks like big skull here remembered," Shinichi said, eyebrows raised as he held Double D... of course then the door was kicked in and flew for Shinichi. He held Double D in front as a shield... probably why Schrodinger warped in the way and took the hit, getting bashed hardly and sliding past Shinichi's legs as the door dropped to the floor.
"Masahiro... Heard your mental call for reinforcements," Trevor said, walking in as he surveyed the scene before him. Behind him was a blue haired boy and what looked to be an elf-child with red hair. He noticed Shinichi and snarled. "The rest of the team should be on their way," he explained.
"The more the merrier... Lillx here will keep you at bay," Shinichi said. Felix cried out in mental pain as his sword tip pointed at them.
"Felix, what the...?!" Trevor exclaimed.
"Don't be fooled! Shinichi is using Felix's and Double D's soul names to get what he wants!" Masahiro said.
"Their... Oh I hope Skywise is on his way, he would just love to kill this son of a...!" Trevor snarled.

"YOU...!!"
Right on cue, in the rest of the Super Children and elves stormed. A bright sword flashed behind them, and Skywise leaped forward, enraged.
"How DARE you!!" the wolfin elf snarled. "You who once adamently opposed such manipulation... You're nothing but meat to be wasted!!"
"Settle down, Sky," Fleetfoot muttered lowly, glaring Shinichi's way, throwing stars in hand.
"Release him, Shinichi," Fletcher demanded, magnum drawn.
Being held back by the wrists, Double D glanced up at all his friends with horrid helplessness. "...E...everyone... I'm sorry..." he could barely get out.
"D-Double D..." Ed gasped. "Guys, he looks sick..!"

"People change," Shinichi said at Skywise's proclamation.
"You'll pay dearly for this... People like you deserve their punishment," the little girl said, a hammer held in her hands.
"I agree... There's no place for manipulators in this world," the blue-haired boy said, what looked to be a gun pointed at his own head.
"A child and... what, are you going to kill me or kill yourself?" Shinichi said. "Some friends you have Trevor."
"You'd be surprised... Minato, knock Felix out," Trevor said softly.
"Right," he said and then pulled the trigger. Instead of his brain getting pierced by a bullet, his psyche was instead effected as it began to manifest itsself into the form of an angel that used some sort of magic to place Felix in a temporary unconscious state.
"Impressive," Shinichi admitted, keeping a hold of Double D. "But useless... Ddwen is mine."
"... Brother like brother I see," Masahiro said, hair hiding his eyes.
"Do not dwell on the past, pup!" the child said. "What matters is that you have strayed from darkness and returned to the light... and we shall send this monster back to Hell... This spell was meant to hurt the unholy and heal the righteous..." Just then did Shinichi notice the light in her hands. "HOLY!"
Shinichi cried out as he let Double D go and flew back to evade the attack. Had he kept a hold of Double D, he would've been incinerated. Just then he noticed the girl's hood fall and pointed ears adorned her head. "An elf... I should not have judged by appearence her age... A summoner and a wielder of holy magics... I underestimated your contacts, Trevor."
"It seems so... old friend," Trevor said, emphasizing the old to further the fact that they were friends no more, but bitter enemies.
"... Another day... I'll come back and return for what is mine," Shinichi said, then flung himself out the window and dissapeared into the night skies.

"Whoa!" Eddy eyes went wide at the elvin girl's performance. "Nice... huh?"
Double D had not risen from the spot he had fallen. He was trembling madly, whimpering and sobbing helplessly.
"D-Double D!!" Ed cried out as he fell down to his side. "...h-he doesn't look so good...!"
"It's 'cause of the soul name thing, right?" Eddy asked.
"Just don't..!..." Raz paused, cringing. "...just don't say it, alright? It's already bad enough we know it."
"Razputin..." Michiko breathed. "What exactly is happening...?"
"...L-look, don't ask me how I know this, but... take it from someone who's BEEN there." He swallowed deeply, continuing. "A soul name's... really, REALLY secret. It's... it-it's everything that you are, summed up into one little word... and... no one else is supposed to know it."
"Unless they share the bond of recognition," Skywise took over the explanation, seeing Raz's growing discomfort. "Somehow that troll-mater discovered both of theirs... and is using them against them." He frowned down at a pale-looking Double D. "Sad to say, I've seen this before. Winnowill of the Gliders learned the soul name of one of my tribemates and used to her to snuff our tribe out from hiding. We defeated her, but..." He sighed deeply. "Dewshine suffered much."
"Just as Eddward is now," Fletcher bit his lip at Ed sat the lad up, who was sobbing and dry-vomitting uncontrolably.
