Their spirits combined. Their hands raised. "Wait... can he...?" Trevor asked.
"Pure souls... with a glimmer of Twilight in their spirit, they can use the ultimate destructive technique... but alas for evil... it only works on the evilest of unholy creatures," Shine said.
The glow of light that eminated from their combined powers pierced Lucifer. His spirit eminated from his body and orange swords aimed themselves true. They pierced the spirit and, with a violent cry, it exploded into sparkling lights that flew towards the sky.
"Soul destruction," Minato whispered.

First, there was silence.
Then Eddy cried, "ALRIGHT!!!"
The power swirling around them began to dwindle as Lucifer's spirit scattered on the wind. Breathing hard, Double D mentally put his weapon away and leaned on Felix. "Is it... is it over...?"

Felix did not answer. The reason being... while Double D may have been performing with him, it took most of Felix's energy. Suddenly the angel fell into his lover's arms. And all of the physical changes that had taken place during the fight, turning him into a masculine god... dissapeared. He was mommy again. "... That sucks," Trevor said.

Catching him, Double D only smiled and shook his head. "...no. It's fine." He hugged Felix close. "Felix is still... Felix. Always."
He jumped a bit when he heard a soft coo of giddiness and felt a soft brush against his wings, which was more sensitive than he thought. He turned back to see Ed, absolutely enchanted by his friend's new feature.
"Double Deeeee..." he squeaked. "These are.. the COOLEST wings... ever....!"
"Ehe... are they?" Sheepishly, he scratched his neck while the others take care of Felix. "They look different, though..."
"Actually, they look a lot like your force fields," Fletcher noted. "Maybe they reflect the powers you possessed as a human."
"Perhaps... I know I still have those powers." He proved this by making his hand invisibile for a few seconds. Idly, he glanced over his shoulder. "...actually, I'm not concentrating much to sustain them... but I think if I DO, I can put them away..."
...success. With a simple thought, they disappeared.
"Niiiice," Eddy grinned.
"That'll be good to hide your identity, if the need arises," Fletcher nodded in approval. "You look the same otherwise."
"I don't FEEL too different, either..." A pause. "...well, except I can hear and see a little clearer... and feel energies given off by others..." He chuckled softly. "...I guess that IS different."

Roland had been spell-bounded by everything that had occured. Double D's new wings, Lucifer's defeat... It was almost to much for his heart to bear. But bear it he did.
"That is... ASTONISHING!"
That caught everyone's attention, turning to the old hunched over Nu-mou, whom was looking up to Double D with a more excited smile then anyone had ever seen on an old man. "You, young man, are truely something special to behold! That entire scene was amazing!" He gave him a sly grin. "You must have a guardian angel looking out for you, at the very most divine providence! And those wings... Astounding!!"
After a moment, he suddenly realized something. "Oh uh..." He cleared his throat. "Forgive me, I got a bit excited. New magical discoveries always make me so scatterbrained..." He put away his mace and held out a hand. "My name is Roland Archimedes Jinorin of Ivalice; Student under the great magical mind of Lezaford the Great Mage, and scholar for Clan Highwind..." He lowers his head at the names, "Or... At least I was..."
He looked over to where Lucifer once stood. "May I say you have done me a great favor..." He shook his head. "Call me hot-tempered if you will, but that devil had given me a great deal of pain. Forgive me, if I've caused you any trouble in your dealing with him."

"Your comrades rest peacefully in Paradise now, Roland." The whire-haired male who might as well now be known as who he is, God, stood there, a coy smile on his face. "Pity I did not come to say that, though... I'm here on some serious business." His smile dropped as he walked over to Edd. "You know how angels work, Edward... You can either stay here as a Guardian Angel... or abandon your friends... and your daughter... and return to Heaven..."
"Benevolent, huh? What kind of bullshit is that?!" Trevor snapped, suddenly gaining wide eyes from Shine and Minato. "You're going to take him if he doesn't agree to your conditions?!"
"... ... ... In truth, Edward is an angel now. I love all my children, but the angels are amongst the greatest of my servents. They protect humans from harm and... now that the greatest bringer of evil has been destroyed, it is not much of a position anymore... Thanks to your friend and his lover... the job is almost obsolete... but evil still exists and that is why Guardian Angels are needed... and there is a favor I have to ask of Edward if he would become a Guardian Angel."
"Your daughter's angel, Masahiro, is suffering. He is upset and frightful because he worries about a day that the life of his own love, Perceval, and Marion's life will be threatened at the same time. Because of his angelic bond, he would be forced to let Perceval die and save your daughter, something that is unfortunate, but... Edward, if you would become a Guardian Angel, would you put Masahiro's worries aside and protect Perceval for him? If you would do that, then the protection your daughter would recieve would be so much better."

"...Yes." Double D nodded in full-hearted agreement. "That would work wonderfully." He bowed respectively. "I'll protect Perceval with all my power."
"So that means you get to stay??" Double D laughed as Ed lifted him off the ground in a delightful hug. "HOORAY!!!"
"Indeed," Fletcher smiled. "Percy will be elated to have his own Guardian Angel."
"Not that he doesn't got one in Masahiro already..." Matilde winked, getting a giggle from Michiko and a gawk from Fletcher.
"Tilde! Come on, now!"
Once Ed had put him down, Double D turned his smile down to Roland. "Is that why you were so actively helping us? Don't worry, it was no more trouble than what he had put us through as well..."
The words 'guardian angel' finally registered, and slowly, he turned to his own once guardian angel, who looked pained with regret. He slowly approached, facing their former enemy with a concerned glance.
"...Shinchi..."

Shinichi stood. God looked over him and sighed. "Your brother's words have cursed you, Shinichi... His words and your actions... I'm afraid this time... There is no forgiveness."
"I was expecting none," he said.
"You have violated both laws... Not to fall in love with your charge... falling in love with one already married..."
"They technically haven't married yet," Shinichi pointed out, but God's glare shut him up.
"They had a baby... good enough... I'm afraid it's over for you. The power of your friend's forgiveness may have saved you from evil, but... you will never regain your wings."
"I know," Shinichi said. "... I never expected to."

"...Shinchi..." Emotional, Double D didn't notice his wings had reappeared, ghosting along behind him as he approached him. "...I'm sorry... for all this. I'm sorry I can't give my heart to you. If I had seen the signs earlier, I... we would've been able to solve this sooner and perhaps even prevent this whole mess..." He shook his head. "But there's no sense in dwelling on it. What happened, happened."
Gently, he took Shinchi's hands into his. "My heart belongs to someone else... but I can give you my forgiveness in replacement. I know it's not enough to bring you back, but... I won't force you to come back. I know now..." Slowly, he drew his hands away. "...that it's not my place to decide."

Roland merely shrugged and turned around respectfully. "Well, I suppose I'm not really needed here anymore."
With a sigh, he turns to Shadow. "But I'd best look over this one, one more time, to make sure she hadn't any other injury I might've missed." He shrugged as he walked over to her. "Won't help anything if the job's only half-done. Thankful I learned that lesson before joining Clan Highwind."
Once he had gotten over to Shadow, he leaned down to have a better look. He pulled out his mace, "Scan." With that word, a light zapped past Shadow's form like a infrared laser. When it was done, Roland smiled somewhat. "Ah, she's all better, then. Rest is all she needs it would seem." He turned from Shadow, "Anyone need a little healing spell? I'll be more then happy to oblige!"

"I think we're all okay," Fletcher said to Roland. "But thank you. May you find your own peace." He turned to the others. "Well, then... shall we all head home?"
"Oh yeah!!" Eddy cheered. "Victory feast at home!"
"Goody!" Ed beamed happily.
More quietly, Double D lifted Felix into his arms, nodding to his companions.
"Yes... let's go home."
(I'm assuming we're done here? Sorry, I had to finish this, a lack of closure always annoys me XD)

Bob watched the group leave almost calmly. "Hmm. A little over-the-top, but nice."
"Well, that's one less Lucifer on the island." A certain ram-horned demon mentioned as he appeared. He, Senor Diablo, dusted himself off calmly. "Now, if only we could take out Gigyas."
"Yeah, Giggity." Bob repeated. "Look, I'm just here to catch a demon before it causes any trouble. Trust me, you don't want this thing out and about. It makes... stuff happen. Kinda weird to talk about what it can do, so I don't like talking about it."
"Hmm." Senor Diablo mused. "Oh, well. I'm still cleaning up the whole False-Armaggedeon thing Gigyas started. I'll try to help you if I can." With that, he vanished into the cracks of the Earth, leaving Bob alone.
The seemingly normal man chuckled. "Yeah, same to you, buddy." Bob didn't have the privilege of making as impressive an exit as Senor Diablo. Looks like he'd have to settle for taking a cab...
... again.
(OOC: Sorry, I just wanted to wrap things up for Bob.)
