Kid had used more force than usual in his fervor, and Hermia had impacted rather strongly with one of the few areas of the house that wasn't on fire. Her wings looked damaged as she slid down the wall. It wasn't that she wasn't good in a fight. She was also practically being eaten alive by the negative energy here. It reminded her so much of the catastrophe that had caused Chaos to go free as her staff rolled forward a bit. Her nearly unconscious state allowed Chris to cancel out the merge, and he practically leapt out of the angel into a fighting position. Actually, he was damn terrified and it was more than a little evident. Kid could probably look at him hard and force him to hide behind something. Hades was grateful for the others leaving the scene, but he saw Hermia get attacked and dropped his gaze from Chaos as Chris cancelled their merge. His eyes widened and he glared at the young adult human, "Out! Now!" he shouted. Chris didn't hang around to argue and made a dash for the front door. It was around this time Kid had asked for the merge with Chaos. Hades cussed in Ancient Roman under his breath, although the irony of the act didn't really hit him as he flew to put himself between Kid and Chris. He wouldn't have enough time to stop the merge, but he could at least prevent a reflexive reaction on Kid or Chaos' part to try and kill the comparitively squshy human. And what better way to draw the attention away from the bystander than with an attack. Hades' dark aura, which Kid would now be able to sense as a black cloud of a flame-like flicker, surged, nearly doubling in size. His eyes were the stuff of nightmares, and even Kid may have been taken aback as Hades swung his scythe forward. If he could kill Kid this quickly after the merge, he could easily seal Chaos. And as much as he wanted to do so before, he now had an excuse do decapitate the Roman heir. One that even the angels could not argue with. Chaos, however, seemed unconcerned. It'd let its new host attempt to react, but it would be taking enough control to get him the hell out of the way if it came to that. The fact that it showed no indication of leaving meant it was completely confident in the ability of it and its host to get out of the situation. (OOC: Since I'm assuming Kid can speak Ancient Roman, Hades basically said a short string of really nasty words. Things comparable or worse than "f**k" would be in modern English - Hades can slip into any number of Ancient Tongues, I just felt Ancient Roman was good for the irony.  And for everyone, Chris doesn't have a shirt on. But he's a traditional college student male, so it isn't really that big a deal. Something you might want to make note of, however. And finally, Kid's new "aura" is only visible to those who can see that kind of thing and can only be really sensed by those who can sense that kind of thing. Hades has a special sense for Chaos due to the many millenia spent guarding the Vault. Which makes it uselss for intimidation, oh noes. XD) |

Outside, Gantz was clearly in a panic. His magical senses had started to go nuts earlier feeling Chaos' energies suddenly becoming much more prominent then ever before, rather then being sealed away. "CRAP!!!" He had half mind to barge right into that soup and see what was going on. However upon seeing Chris run out, Gantz turned to the boy looked both panicked and confused. "Who are- You know what? Forget it. What's going on in there?!?!? I thought Chaos was getting sealed away!!! What happened?!?!?!?!?"

Moon and spyro emerged from a shadow nearby and sat down their attention turned back to the house.

Kid easily flew out of the way of the scythe, leaving only a few feathers in his wake. Before merging with Chaos, he wouldn't have been able to dodge that. He was fast, but he was still human. But now, Chaos' dark energy seemed to not just be surging through him, but his living weapons too. In fact, Pollux and Castor hadn't spoken a word since he'd merged with Chaos. Just as well. The new Emperor of Rome didn't need advisors.
He turned back to Hades, and scowled. [shadow=purple,left,300]"Wash your mouth, demon. One does not speak like that with someone like me here."[/shadow]
He laughed. This new power was amazingly invigorating. [shadow=purple,left,300]"I feel amazing! Now, how should I celebrate this milestone? Mass slaughter? Taking over the island? Begin a new Crusade? There's so much to pick from!"[/shadow]
Yui limped back to his feet. The doll seemed to be at its limit. "...Protocol #543... must be followed... I have to... stop the intruder... I have to... protect the creator and his gift to me..." Despite having only one arm to aim with, Yui still managed to lift it and fire a weak fireball at Kid, who easily dodged.

Chris practically faceplanted as he stumbled at Gantz voice. He jerked his head towards the group, a million thoughts flicking through his head at once. One of the more prominent ones was Gantz' lack of presence. When he had been with Hermia, there'd been something frighteningly strong there, and he couldn't pick up on it now. Only about five seconds passed after his recovery before he responded, "No time. We need to get the hell out of here!" he shouted. Every fiber of his fight or flight mind wanted to get the hell out of there. Leave the human, the overly purple girl, the dragons (of which made his mind trip, especially since he recognized one)... all of it. Just get the hell out of there. And it wasn't just fear over the current situation. He had a chance to get away from that angel too. But... his body wouldn't respond. it wouldn't let him leave until these people went first. He tried to rationalize it at being a pre-med student. But that didn't seem qutie right... his eyes showed the full conflict of fight or flight in them. He looked terrified. ---------- Hades didnt' care about Yui, and his eyes didn't even flick as the fireball shot dangerously close to him. He barely cared about Hermia, and it was mildly annoying that he couldn't honestly tell himself he didn't. "I don't care who you were born to, you're lower than the lowest ranking eunich. Lower even, said eunich has more of a right to rule than you." Yes. He had just called the son of Julias Caesar, the boy who was convinced he would one day be greater than his father, that a castrized male had more right to be emporer than he. Even if Kid saw past the blatant attempt to rile him up, it was still likely to accomplish at least part of his goal. And Chaos would manipulate the violent and negative emotions of its host. Which meant he could possibly be thrown off even more. Hermia winced as she opened her eyes, and saw Hades practically exploding aura. Her eyes widened, and she turned towards Kid. She needed to get out of here. She let her wings vanish and reached over for her staff. At least Hades was between she and Chaos' latest victim. Because the manipulation of Kid's violence could very well mean he'd try to target her. An angel is a better target to Chaos than a living doll, after all, and they both seemed at similar levels of health. Hermia hadn't noticed Yui yet, possibly to her advantage. She'd try to protect him. (OOC: If you fail at history, a "eunich" is a term for a castrated male, as shown above. They were commonly used in Ancient Greece and Rome as low ranking slaves, and were usually used as guards for harems and such. Hence the castration. Hades knows Kid is Roman and went for the biggest insult he could quickly think of. ) |

"I'm not moving from this spot until I-!!!"
Suddenly, something came to Gantz's attention, stopping him mid-sentence. "Wh-WHERE'S YUI?!?!?!?"
Misty quickly jumped to her feet, "I think he crawled back into the house!!!"
That was all the words needed as Gantz, contrary to what some would find INSANE ran back inside the house. "YUI!!!!!!!"
[Yeah, I don't think Yui's gonna shake Gantz that easily.]

Kid's eye twitched. No, it did more than twitch. His whole face had contorted into something filled with anger and twitching. Finally, he gave Hades the coldest look he could. He was now ignoring Spyro and Moon, and disappated their attacks with a burst of his new dark aura.
[shadow=purple,left,300]"What did you just call me?! You dare call me, Julius "Kidrus" Caesar the Second, lower than a eunich!? How dare you!"[/shadow] The wings on his boots began to flap very quickly. Kid began to practically explode dark aura. [shadow=purple,left,300]"HOW DARE YOU! YOU AND YOUR ANGEL COMPANION WILL DIE FOR THIS!"[/shadow]
Kid suddenly sped past Hades, instead stomping into Hermia, intending to take her out first. Every time he attacked, it was always followed by flying away and running back into her, intending to throw the angel off balance with his speedy attacks.
Yui lifted his key one last time, trying to aim for Kid, before collapsing in a heap. His joints weren't able to take this much abuse. He needed repairs. Repairs he couldn't get at the moment.

Hades slashed at Kid as he flew past, leaving a small cut in his arm. The kid was moving too fast, and Hermia was getting pummeled because of it. She had collapsed back onto the floor from the half-way up position she had gotten too. Hades flew forward and stood in front of her, knowing this would be a blow to his reputation. Kid didn't adjust for his next attack, and Hades was vaulted back into Hermia. Kid was moving too fast for him to recover well, but it meant he had a chance to do something else. He held his scythe blade in a way that a head on attack would cause Kid to slice his foot open, possibling "killing" Castor or Pollux in the process.

Chris hesitated as Gantz shot past him, heading into the burning building. He cussed under his breath and ran in after the boy. He saw the situation and noticed Hermia was clinging to consciousness. He ran forward, "Hermia, merge!" he shouted.
He couldn't believe he was suggesting this. But if he could take full dominance with her inside, he could take the opportunity to get them both out. He hoped Gantz would find who he wa searching for. Hermia looked up weakly, but the two new arrivals meant Kid had other, more exposed targets than Hermia.

Gantz's heart was racing, as he, among the flames, quickly found the figure he had been looking for, sprawled out on the floor. Immediately he went to work, putting out a few stray flames before they could reach the wooden doll. "Yui..." He called weakly, gulping a little. "Don't you worry, I'm not about to let you roast. I've promised you that THAT would be the LAST thing that'll happen to you!"
He looked around the scene, trying to get a good scope of what was going on, but the smoke was starting to get to him. Coughing, he quickly came to a conclusion.
"You said your name was Julies 'Kidrus' Ceaser, didn't you?"
That possibly caught Kid's attention, before he could charge Hades and Hermia once more, but it also caught Hermia and Hades' attention to, surprising all three of them quite possibly...
But Gantz didn't care, he was too furious to care.
"Lookin' at you, ya spoiled, rotten, royal, pain in the @$$... It's little WONDER that Brutus lead that public massacre in the square, on the Ides of March..." He was possibly wrong in historic facts, but again, he didn't care. "You think being a king is nothing more, nothing LESS, then waving a hand and forcing a servant to do whatever medial task you want him to do; force slavery, start wars, whatever. But what you fail to understand is what a king is truely supposed to do; lead his people into a better future..."
What further surprised some was the fact that he suddenly reached into his jacket. "So you take over an entire island and force it into slavery... BIG WHOOP. What will that ultimately solve when it comes to anything? The answer to that is one simple 7 letter word pal; 'NOTHING'. Nadda, zip, zilch, bupkus..." His hand moved around a bit more in the jacket, before it seemed to grip at something. "You use the tyrants path to get the quick an easy end... But WHAT will that solve? History continues to tell the story of jack@$$es that think that the quick, easy, and sacrificial way is ALWAYS the way to go. And you want to know where THEY end up; names like Adolph Hitler? Suddam Hussein? It's simple. They end up as the ones that repeat history. It's our job as the future generation to learn from the past, or be doomed to repeat it."
Finally, he pulled his hand out...
"So you're hyped up on the powers of Chaos? Yeah, I'm Soooo scared."
In his hand was what appeared to be a bright blue pin with six golden wings, three on each side of the badge. "I've seen far WORSE things then YOU. Hades had every right to say what he said... Because he was RIGHT; 100 percent correct. You're power WILL blow over, someone WILL take it, and when that happens? You're going to be the one known in history as the half-pint DUMB@$$ who thought he could make a name for himself, by repeating histories past mistakes..."
He growled as he put the pin to his heart. "So stick in a pipe and SMOKE IT, you greedy, moronic, asinine, arrogant, mentally retarded POWER DRUNK, PIECE OF-!!!!!!!!"
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Obviously, Kid had HAD enough.
[No killing Gantz please? I have a good idea in mind to help get everyone out, and keep Kid busy all the while.]

Spyro did as told and got Yui onto his back.

Gantz's verbal attacks on Kid had kept him from attacking Hermia, and Hades, head on, which was good, since it meant that Castor would have gotten killed. Not that that was a problem; this would have been the third time since he made the shoe. As it was, he had currently kicked Gantz into a wall, or rather, through a wall, and was holding him by the collar.
[shadow=purple,left,300]"...You are a lowly slave. You are nothing more than a slave who doesn't know his place. And I will make you learn your place."[/shadow] He pulled the pin Gantz had been holding away from him. [shadow=purple,left,300]"Allow me to help you learn your place."[/shadow]
Of course, in attacking Gantz, Kid had left himself completely open for an attack.

Hades had gotten a rather dark grin as Gantz gave his speech. Despite having reeked of high ranking holy energy earlier, he had to reassess his opinion of the him. It was entirely possible he was involved in a merge, and said "angel" was better at concealing her aura than most.
Hermia was startled at Chris' request, but weakly nodded and Chris vanished. He quickly fully expressed himself on her and stumbled to his feet. She was more hurt han he realized.
"Hades, take care of this!" he shouted, although it was rather pointless as Hades had already twirled his scythe around. He knew it might clip Gantz, but if there was really a high ranking angel merged with him he'd be fine.
Those that could sense auras would know that the blast of dark energy that came out of the metal looking orb at the top of the scythe had been drawn from Hades' own life force. It had the potential to kill Kid, although with how hopped up he was on Chaos it would likely just badly injure him. If he had any sense he'd try and get away. Of course, Hades would be in pursuit...

Those outside saw Chris burst from the building. The familiar dragon had gotten the doll, and Chris knew Hades would prevent the other person's death if he could. The building looked ready to fall at any second. They needed to get out of there...

Moon popped out of a shadow to the side of kid leaping at him he tried to latch on and slam Kid head first into the ground.

At Kid's threat, something even more surprising happened...
Gantz started to chuckle. "Didn't you're mother ever tell you not to take something that doesn't belong to you?"
FLAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kid was suddenly blinded by something he had not been expecting. The energy was pure light and completely of the holy origins. Being hyped up on energy as dark as the god of darkness, even Kid found that the energy he felt zapping from his hand and through his arm as something that absolutely and undeniably hurt.
And it was all comin from that pin Kid had removed from Gantz.
"A little magical lesson, my friend. That item your holding is the 'High Seraph Plume', a powerful summon charm capable of summoning a beast of great power known as an Esper on to this plane of existence." A devious grin appeared on his face. "That charm, for instance, is known to summon the great holy esper Ultima. Now I'm not talking about the spell Black mages can use, I'm talking her appearing in person bringing down a lot more power then that spell ever could."
At the disbelieving looks, Gantz grinned sadistically. "Now knowing Chaos is a being of darkness, doesn't it stand to reason if your hit by this attack it should more then sting a little?" He chuckled, "Go ahead and do what you will with it, I've already activated it's power. And unless I'm mistakened, Ultima's probably in Outer space right now charging her cannon."
[There is in fact an Ultima summon in later Final Fantasy games, this version comes from Final Fantasy Tactics A2.]

It was, in fact, as Gantz had said. Deep in space, a gigantic figure that appeared to be a female angel with six dragonfly like angel wings, and a gigantic super complex cannon at the bottom of her white and golden robe.
Slowly energy started to build in the cannon itself...

Gantz winced as his sword met Kid's hand, making him flinch enough to drop the charm and Gantz to grab it. "Unless you want the chance to face it again, you will not come after me or my friends, comprende? Hastega!!!!!" Clock symbols flowed around Gantz before he started running for his life, zooming past Hades and Hermia. "Unless you want to be incinerated by Holy energy... RUN!!!!! RUN FOR YOUR EVERLOVING LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Ultima, meanwhile, had reached the breaking point of energy and with a giant 'BOOOOOOOM'...
The cannon fired, aiming at the house.
[Gantz couldn't use too much energy to summon Ultima, so the least it'll due is leave scorch within a 10 foot radius of the house, not to mention finish the job the fire started.]
