A jungle machete hacked through the thick foliage of the Fuzzy Isles. They parted to allow a youth with the typical explorer get-up to step through, peering through the jungle through thick, blue-tinted glasses. Many other tools, hi-tech, scientific tools, hung on his belt and in his back pack. He was searching for something, a new creature said to have recently spawned on this very island.
And when a new discovery was found, Dexter was usually close by. He could hardly resist the pursuit of knowledge.

A portal opened up several feet away, obscured by the many trees and bushes. It spit out a human girl with pink hair done up in two pointed buns with a single large puffy ponytail sort of thing coming from each one. The girl was covered in pinkish light and it drew in towards her chest before blinking out. The girl was in a short pink summer's dress before hitting the ground.
"Ow...." she rubbed her head as she climbed to her feet. She was wearing the outfit before the big fight at the palace. The dress had a black ribbon tied around the waste forming a small bow at the back. It was complimented by a pair of pink sandles whose laces wrapped around her lower legs in a manner reminscent of roman sandles. A single black ribbon was tied around both of her hair buns, forming a bow in the front.
She looked up at the sky, half expecting to see several creepy black bugs falling down after her. When there were none, she looked around. Her friends and fellow soldiers were no where to be seen. She thought for a moment and remembered she had been pulled into the quickly closing portal as she and her friends had banished the bugs back to wherever they came from. It must have been here.
She stumbled out of the bushes and in her disorientation, tripped over a rock. The way she waved her arms and spun around in an attempt to not fall down looked like a bad attempt at ballet. She wasn't even aware of the boy as she spun past him.
(If you miss the parody reference I am handing you, I think I'll give up at life. XD)

"...what!?" Dexter whipped around, watching hints of the girl spin through the foliage nearby. He gaped unbelievingly, thinking to recognize the girl, and slashed more thick leaves. "Dee Dee!! WHAT are you doing here!?!"

Chibiusa's attempts finally failed and she crashed into some bushes. She muttered several indecipherable things, but they all amounted to "Owwwww...."
She heard someone shout something, but couldn't make it out. It was a male voice... She stood up, managing to scrape her head on several branches of a bush on the way up. This was not her day. The voice had sounded like some kind of mixture of panic and extreme annoyance.
She picked her way out of the bushes, trying to pull leaves and branches out of her hair on the way out. When she could clearly see the boy and that he was in no apparent danger, she held up her hands in an attempt to not seem threatening. Sure the boy had quite the assortment of odds and ends and even a nasty looking blade, but he didn't really seem all that threatening. Panicked, but not threatening.
She chose not to say anything until she could see how the boy reacted.

"GET OUT OF MY... eh?" When he got a clear look at the girl, realizing it was not who he thought it was, Dexter blinked for a second. "...oh. Excuse me. I thought you were my stoo-pid sister."

Chibiusa was a bit thrown by the boy's way of pronouncing words. It also struck her as odd that she understood him clearly aside from some pronunciation issues. The way he held the "ah" sound of baka was a little odd, but it was still understandable. He didn't look Japanese, but what she had heard was crystal clear in her mind.
"It's okay, I probably surprised you. I've got a... well, a family member people that could pass as my sister, so I understand mistaken identities. What part of Japan are you from?"
Chibiusa was speaking Japanese with no idea of the island's properties to allow cross dimension communication. The problem of where she was at was still in a corner of her mind, but it was no reason to be rude.
(OOC: Sorry to throw in some romaji on you, but seeing as how baka means idiot or stupid when it is used in anime, has the same syllables, and is quite clearly what a Japanese Dexter (don't laugh, there are Japanese Powerpuff Girls! XD) would use, probably complete with the stress on the first syllable, I went with it.)

To Dexter, she was speaking clear English, so he didn't give that part a second thought. He simply figured she just came from an anime convention or something. He knew the look; he saw it at all those Star Trek conventions he attended.
The Japan comment, however, he DID find odd.
"Japan?" He shook his head. "You are mistaken. I hail from the US, and am currently on an exploratory exipedition for the fabled 'Fuzzies' of this island."

"Wow! You've got amazing Japane... wait, Fuzzies?"
Chibiusa's mind came to a screeching halt. She'd fought a lot of things in her time (not that she'd tell Dexter this) but she had never heard of fuzzies. And that fact that a normal person knew about what sounded like an odd new type of monster was weird. He had said they inhabited the island?
"What's a Fuzzy?"

"That is the question I hope to answer when I find them," Dexter replied, helping her to her feet with one hand and chopping at more foliage with the other. He continued to talk as he slowly moved on, assuming she was following him. "The typical Fuzzies that inhabit this island are quite hostile if you wander into their territory, but a more dosile kind has recently appeared on this side of the island." He glanced around, looking for signs. "They're close by; I can FEEL it!"

Chibiusa was following Dexter merely cause there wasn't really anything else to do. He seemed to be far more knowledgeable of this world than she was and she still felt quite lost.
Dexter got the better end of the stick for knowing the Fuzzies were there. The skin on Chibiusa's neck prickled and she turned around in time to be smacked in the face by what looked like a giant dandelion puff with a face. It looked as surprised as she did as it burst into nothingness.
If Dexter was truly paying attention to the area, he heard a thunk behind him. It was the sound of a very dizzy Chibiusa falling sideways. If they had been in an anime, her eyes would have been swirlies.

"What?" Dexter turned back, watching quite curiously as the girl begun to stumble this way and that. "What are you DOING!? This is no time for...!"
PfffffffWAOAW!
That was the sound that reached his ears when something soft brushed against his head, poofing away. Suddenly, the trees began to twist and turn around him, colors changing and imaginary background music distorted in a dazed state. He could hardly keep his footing, and also began to stumble about dizzily.
"Nyyaaaahhhaaa...!"

Chibiusa was in a slightly better place than Dexter. She had actually seen what had hit her. She could still think clearly, its just that she couldn't stand straight. Not that she knew what straight was at the moment.
She tried to stumble for a tree, anything to grab a hold of. Instead the world tipped and she fell backwards. Laying down seemed like a really good idea, but she couldn't figure out why way was down either.
She saw the boy heading her way. It occured to her she had never gotten his name. Now wasn't really the time for that. She felt the world tip forward and despite every attempt to walk away from the boy, she managed to fall down on top of him.
More puffballs had shown up in the area, almost as if the exploding of the earlier creatures had attracted them. They didn't seem to have any control of where they were going, carried only by the wind. Which was a bad thing, as both she and the boy were downwind.

"Unh-OOF!" Dexter grunted as the girl feel on top of him, and the two toppled to what seemed to be the ground. It was difficult to tell, at least, until the dizziness wore off, and Dexter concluded that, yes, this WAS the ground they had fallen on. What a relief.
Slightly disorientated, Dexter looked up and was amazed to discover the apparent source of the phenomenon, floating over their heads in clumps. They looked... they looked like cottonballs. Very hairy cottonballs. They were certainly a sight to behold.
Dexter spoke, finding himself short of breath. "...I've found them...!"

Dexter's enthusiasm snapped Chibiusa out of her own dizziness. She jumped up, barely avoiding hitting a Fuzzy with one of her hair buns. Her face was bright red, she couldn't believe she had fallen on some guy. What would Helios think!?
"I wish he could answer..." Chibiusa looked to the side and ducked in time to avoid another Fuzzy, "Um, Mr. explorer, I don't think we should stay here. Its dangerous!"
She felt silly calling the boy "Mr. Explorer" but she couldn't come up with anything better. The Fuzzies numbers had increased again and she had a feeling it was only a matter of time before she got tagged again.

Dexter ducked under another, marveling it as it passed by. "Uh...? Oh!" In his excitement, he had never even introduced himself to this girl. It seemed to him like she wasn't TOO smart, but definitely not as destructive as Dee Dee. So he liked her company.
"Forgive me for being rude," he bowed as the Fuzzies floated to and fro around them. They weren't going anywhere fast, so there was time for introductions. "My name is Dexter, Boy Genius."
