Ed smirked. "Double D helped me figure out this trick; if I can control the dorment energy of matter, wouldn't I be able to SEE it too?"
He bent over, placing his hand on the floor, and gently shut his eyes. His world was breifly darkened... until he focused, and objects bathed in a blue light appeared in his vision. 'Looking' up, he saw the three Spectors as light blue blurs... but the one one the right had a much brighter glow than the other two. Even if they were physical illusions, they would never have more energy than their owner.
"It's... THAT one!" Breaking his concentration and returning to normal vision, he once again grabbed the real Specter on a chord of ZPE, then flung him into the wall. Courage could only gape in awe.

"GAH!!!!" THUD!!!! Specter hit the wall hard, growling as he got back up... So this human could see through his trick. Once back on his feet, he was seething at the group. "You think your so smart don't you?!?!? Well I'll show you!!!!!!!!"
He thought up several beams of psychic energy and fired them continually at the group, roaring in anger as he did.
"Look out!!!" Otto quickly grabbed Helga's hand and jumped out of the way, Wally followed grabbing Courage, and Ed flew out the way on a cloud of ZPE.
"GRAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!!!!!!! STAND STILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He continued to fire beam after beam at the group.

"WAAAAGGHH!!" Courage leaped out of the way, hiding under a fallen file case.
Ed, however, sulked in annoyence. Man, this guy didn't give up! Having just about enough, he stepped through the onslaught boldly, not at all detered by the energy beams flying past or even those striking him directly. They pounded into him, but he kept on stomping forward, until he was up close and personal with Specter.
"Could you just calm down?"

Specter stared oddly at the boy a moment. "Honestly what do you think?"
'CATCH!!!' two pairs of hands caught Specter's head. One revealed to be Otto, the other, Wally.
"YIN..." Wally monotoned.
"YANG..." Otto responded...
Before both of themspun Specter around at a fast pace and...
"HEAVE!!!!!"
They both shouted as Wally tossed Specter high in the air, and Otto launched a 'Hellfire Burst', which caught Specter's back and kept going.
... ... ...
Outside of City Hall everything appeared to be going okay...
BOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!! Before a beam of dark energy blasted out of the roof, a scream seemingly coming from the very tip.
Back with the others, Otto and Wally grinned as they pumped fists. Oh yeah, the Yin Yang Twins were still the most explosive bunch around.
"GUYS!!!!" Helga appeared. "You let Specter get away! What's more, how are we going to explain all of this?!?"
She had a point, the damage to the room was quite extensive, months of paper work filing were destroyed in one fell swoop...
... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...
"Whoops..."
"Not a problem little lady!" Wally said as he motioned to Ed to lift the filing cabinet back to it's proper place. "All we need to do is get our stories straight."
[XDDDD Never would've credited Wally as a sneak.]

"YAY!" Courage cheered as Specter went flying. Good riddence!
"Little demons came in and attacked the records room AFTER we left!" Ed figured, straightening up the file cabinet. "Does that work?"

Wally gave big Ed a big thumbs up. "Yep, you got that right, ya big lug!"
"Crap..." Turning to Otto, they saw he had taken out a random file from a nearby drawer, and gave it a quick once over. "Nothing in this one about Gria's either..." He shook his head. "Come to think of it, have any of you guys came up with anything previous to that interruption?"
Helga looked to Wally looking confused. "Ah, fraid not mate..." He turned Ed after a second. "What about you? Did you find anything?"

Otto shrugged, "Ah, somethin' came up. Don't ask me what, I'm not even sure what it was all about myself."
Helga looked at Otto curiously. "Double D?"
Wally smiled a little at this. "Double D is a good friend of ours Helga, he's very smart he is." He looked to Otto after explaining. "What do you mean, Otto-mate?"
"I really don't know. All I know is that it has something to do with turning into an angel..." He thought a moment. "Strangely enough he left in quite a bit of a rush."

Ed lightly scratched his cheek, and natural worriness for his friend began to sink in. Still, he forced out a grin. "Okay. He probably went home, then. Should I tell him we didn't find anything?"

"Might as well." Otto groaned as he looked around at the files. "Somehow, even after looking at a quarter of these, I just KNOW we're not going to find anything concerning the gria race."
"Well you never know Otto." Helga said, chiming in. "There could be something."
Otto motioned all around. "That's just it, I DO know. I've never heard of the grias and I doubt anybody else will. Sides, do you really want to stick around here and explain THIS to the janitor?"
"He raises a good point." Wally gulped. "As a matter of fact, let's get out of here before someone DOES notice something amiss, shall we?"

Courage nodded in agreement, watching the door waringly. Ed, meanwhile, went right for a window, propping it open. "Right! Let's leave in style!"

"You had me at leave!" Wally joked back as he quickly climbed through the window after Ed, carrying Courage along with him.
Otto shook his head a moment, before turning to Helga. "Come on Helga, there's nothing we can do about this. Let's just get out of here."
"But..." Helga looked for an arguement to use, ANYTHING to talk her new friends out of leaving. But upon coming up with none, she sighed. "Okay... Let's go."
That was the last thing said before Otto pulled himself out the Window, and quickly helped Helga through after.
