"Hey! Stop ignoring me!" Uno shouted. Throughout the entire time Uno was getting the impression Dexter was seeing her as nothing more than a glorified microwave, and she had gotten tired of it.
And with her inability to control her powers and the way they flared when she got angry... the left half of the mall the trio was in lost power, a few screens sparked and/or blew up, and the CD preview machine just behind Dexter made an electronic blipping sound before all but exploding, the shrapnel narrowly missing the group.
Uno "eeked" and ducked down with her hands over her head.

"Well, what I mean is-" He was cut off, however, as the mall turned into the THUNDERDOME. BE THERE SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY!
Ahem. Anyway. Mandark's chair began to... well, basically stop working. Not so much 'began to' as 'holy crap Mandark just fell'. And quite a fall did he have, sliding out of his chair as it collided with the floor. It restarted when Uno "eeked", however, and nearly choked the poor boy, his collar being caught in the quickly rising chair.
"COMPUTER. HURK. REG... REGULATE HEIGHT. NOW." Mandark gasped out, successfully getting his command out. His chair lowered to a mere 3 feet, allowing him to pull his collar free and return to his sitting position.
"I am under the belief that Uno has something to say." Mandark coughed, working to regain his composure.
Unfortunately, it'd already jumped to a galaxy far, far away in a time long, long ago.

(XDDDD You two are hilarious. XD I love it!)
"ExCUSE me, I was just trying to get answers from your crea-WAAAHHH!!" Dexter fell flat on his face from the minor explosion behind him, leave a good charred mark on the CD rack and damaging quite a bit of merchendise. Good thing none of us control the store owners, huh?
Looking up, Dexter was treated to more embarressment on Mandark's behalf. It was kinda sad, really. But mostly funny. He'd feel sorry for him if he wasn't using all his willpower inpreventing himself from bursting into hysterics.
When Mandark spoke, Dexter rolled his eyes. "No, really, you think so?"

(OOC: Greatest. Compliment. Ever.)
"Mandark, are you okay!?" Uno exclaimed, suddenly forgetting her anger at the situation. When it appeared he wasn't going to die she turned towards Dexter. Her eyes were filled with hatred.
"How dare you! You're rude to him, treat me like some kind of tossaway toy, and then have the gall to be sarcastic! I asked your name! Is that such a hard question? How stupid are you, anyways!? Can't you tell when someone is talking to you!?"
She glanced at Mandark, although the reason why was unclear. It could be interperted as many things, but it was a mix of continued concern for the black haired teen and worry that her reaction would upset him. Yeah, she was totally looking for confirmation that what she was doing was all right.
In side news, she had also totally called Dexter stupid. That probably wouldn't end well...

(Thanks! =D)
"Well, if you wish to bring our respective thinking capacities into things..." Mandark noted Dexter's choice of words. At this point, one must wonder what thoughts were going through his mind. Perhaps it could be summed up in one word. Reconsideration. Of staying on the island, that would be. But unfortunately for Mandark, the author needs him for a future plot, so he was... pretty much trapped there.
And then his day got much, much better.
"I believe she just summed you up rather nicely, there."

Dexter was taken aback, his nose wrinkled in insult. "Stoo-pid!?" His accent always played with that word, making him all the less intimidating as he faced Uno, jamming a forceful finger into his own chest.
"You do NOT call Dexter, Boy Genius, stoo-pid without CLEAR ignorance of your words!" He thrust a finger towards Mandark. "THIS snake has tried on MULTIPLE ocassions to DESTROY my laboratory and ruin my scientific career! And since I am the protagenist of the television program focused on these struggles, that makes HIM the villian!!"

Uno showed no signs of backing down. In fact, she leaned forward Dexter, her hands still on her hips, "So? So!? What does that prove? If you're this much of a jerk all the time, its no wonder Mandark's trying to wreck your lab! And being a main character means nothing! Main characters are the real villians in things too, you know! Maybe you're the main character for the comedy relief factor! Ever think of that? Oh, wait, you wouldn't. Because you are stupid!"
A bit of digital distortion was rising off the girl, like the distortion one might see on a computer screen or something that was zoomed in far too much. What little electronics still functioning in the store and general area gave off some more sparks. Almost as if it were begging for its life. However, Mandark's chair was oddly not effected. Anyone not raging enough to pay attention to the situation would see that there was no distortion rising from her side, the one closest to Mandark in any case.
She wasn't even aware of it, but sheer subconscious willpower was actually protecting Mandark. Any devices Dexter had might not have been as lucky. Even with their virus protection, Uno was raging. And the part she wasn't directing towards Mandark had to escape somewhere.

"You know, I have always wondered about that... perhaps you're the reincarnation of Snidely Whiplash?" Mandark asked, maintaining his 'this is all a dream, this is all a dream' mentality. Illogical, yes. But still. Such a horrible day could only have been one of two things. A dream, or the result of a topic on an RP board. And the second option was absolutely absurd.
Cough.
He did, however, manage not to freak out as Uno raged. His chair, having been unaffected, wasn't turning into a death machine. However, the store was still THUNDERDOME, BE THERE SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY.
Right, all humor aside for a moment. It was time for a serious question to be asked. Seriously.
"So... how long ago did you come across this... anomaly?" It wasn't entirely natural curiosity, mind you. There was a hidden agenda, lying deep inside the boy's mind. Deeply.

(XDDDDD Dangit, you guys! XD)
"Now, see here! I will NOT be told off by some robot disturbingly similar in appearance to my own sister YOU would be saying the same about HIM if I had created you! It's all a matter of perception, isn't it!?
"And if YOU must know," he addressed Mandark. "I'm here on a NOBLE quest to save this island from the destruction it faces at the hands of the Dark Insects! I'll hardly believe your motivations are equally selfless!"

And quicker than it had come, the distortions stopped as a clueless look hit Uno's face. She blinked several times and looked between the two boys, finally settling on Dexter, "Wait, Dee Dee's your sister?" she paused, "It's not what it looks like! He didn't have anything to do with my appearance! I think it had to do with the files on his system. At least he and his idiotic Computer think so, not that I'm inclined to listen to a word that latter has to say,"
And that, boys and girls, is how you open a can of worms. The few remaining systems had been saved by Dexter's comments calming Uno down, but that wasn't the issue. No, the issue was that Uno had inadvertently revealed that Mandark had at least once enough Dee Dee files to effect the formation of his written programs. After all, even with the comments about being unable to change her appearance, it was still implied that Mandark had created Uno from scratch.

"For your information, I'm here to-" Mandark was forced to pause, however, when Uno spoke up. Color drained from his face, his expression could only be defined as bewilderment.
'You want I should teleport the head-desking board, boss?' Computer's voice sneered through his arm-rest.
"Yes... yes you should." Mandark responded, a 2x4 appearing before him. This one was odd, however. It had a face. Why would a board have a face? It's not like the author plays a character with a 2x4 as a best friend, no sir.
And then the boy rapidly bashed his face against it a few times, before sitting back in his chair, arms folded.
"Alright, I believe I am done inflicting bodily harm upon myself."
'You sure? It's actually rather fun-'
"COMPUTER I STATED THAT I AM DONE WHICH MEANS I AM DONE."
'Alright, alright. Yeesh. Not my fault you're so stalker-ish...'

Bewilderment. What a perfect word to describe Dexter's dominating emotion right now.
While Mandark inflicted pain upon himself (to Dexter's quiet amusement), the boy genius thought very, very carefully on how he would next approach this situation.
He turned to Mandark. "...have you seen my actual sister on this island yet? Is she still in our world?"

Uno noticed she was still being ignored, and clenched her fists, working at holding in the RAEGFACTOR. She appeared to be taking deep breaths before turning to Mandark, "You mean this isn't your home? Either of yours? Where do you come from, then?" she paused, "World? Oooh, so you guys travel the multiverse? Mandaaark, why didn't you tell me that?"
Her rage had subsided again, being replaced by cute and mildy whiny curiosity. She was, after all, a newborn with the ability to question her world. And held the distractibility level inherent in both that and part of her coding genetics. Her eyes were back to being big and curious.

"I'm... not entirely sure of that. I haven't run into her yet, no. It's extremely probable that she's still in our world." Mandark replied.
And then Uno spoke up again. He was fully prepared for more OMGRAGE, but her next question caught him slightly off guard. Slightly.
"Actually, I'm working on disproving all theories of the multi-verse. My idea is that they're all part of one singular universe, but can't be accessed by NASA's rockets because they aren't able to travel this far into space yet. I'd assume this island is on a planet somewhere near the 'edge' of the universe."

Dexter pouted. He wouldn't admit it, not for these scuzball, but internally, he knew that was a plausible theory.
How satisfying it would be to prove him wrong...
Putting that at the back of his mind, Dexter bowed to Uno. "Well, then, I'll leave you two to clear up any other misinformation. I really must get going."
