Despite Mandark's reassurance, Uno was still a little worried. But after about half an hour the looking back every two minutes dropped to every five. Not that big of a change, but it was probably a relief for Mandark.
The girl seemed rather nervous they walked. And gaped at the mall. Sure, she knew what it was and had... well "files" on it for lack of a better word, but there was a difference between knowing and seeing.
To those just joining us, Mandark was floating around in a glorified computer chair with a girl that looked a little much like Fusion Fall Dee Dee for comfort walking just ahead of him. Not exactly. A little older, longer hair of a slightly paler shade. But enough to trip any title character boy genius' brain right into a muddy face plant. Certainly enough to cause a "WTF!?" reaction.

"Tsk. You should calm down. I told you, everything's fine." Mandark stated. SURE, her head turns had slowed down in frequency, but still.
"What's the WORST that could happen? It's not like either one of us is a crimin-" Mandark paused for a moment.
"...it's not like either one of us is a RECOGNIZED criminal." Mandark finished.
"You seem like you'd enjoy music. Do you... wish to stop by that section, or maybe the coffee shop? Listen to a bit of Indie Rock?"
Oh yes. Mandark enjoyed Indie Rock. And not just because the author of this post does either, oh no.

(XD)
And a 'WTF' reaction they would get soon enough.
Dexter was currently browsing the music store himself, in the techno section, to be more specific. He was looking for good music to play in the background while he worked in his garage. Every creative genius needed a little stimulation to get their cranium churning.

Uno nodded, but she didn't seem convinced. Actually, she was a little distracted by the people staring. Even for the island, the whole "flying chair" thing was a little attention grabbing. And being who she was, she assumed she was the one being stared at, not Mandark.
She had stopped to think about Mandark's suggestion. She finally nodded, "I could try for the music. A lot of your files had holes in them, actually... did another virus hit your system recently?"
She had fallen back so she was next to Mandark and could talk easier, but had resumed walking. It would also prevent the head turning to make sure he was there. Which had honestly been bothering her as well.

"Another virus? Hit MY files? It's IMPOSSIBLE to get past my defenses, you realize. I am the great MANDARK. NOTHING surpasses-okay, maybe a couple hit my system." Mandark responded, sweat-dropping.
'Do I need to make the crude joke, or will you?' A voice came from Mandark's arm-rest.
"Computer, I believe I informed you to only use this line for emergencies."
'Like telling you it's a bad idea to enter the music section?'
"And why is that? It HAS to be better than YOUR foolish suggestions. Need I remind you of what happened in Canada?"
'...alright then. Nevermind. I just wanted to spite you.'
"Your crude attempts are humorous at BEST. Now, if you'll excuse me." He then remembered that he could have just turned off his comlink... yes, much mental facepalming was had.
"You're a computer system, so... might I suggest Techno? However, my suggestion of Indie Rock still stands."
Mandark would soon learn that it is a BAD IDEA to insult the semi-sentient computer that has access to the island's surveillance cameras...

Dexter was ready to finally pick a few labels, when a familiar voice reached his ears. The whiny kind that scratches against your eardrums and forcefully drills into your memory. He cringed internally, slowly looking up, readying himself for whatever his enemy would throw at him.
...except what stood beside him.
There was a long, VERY long pause.
"................................Dee Dee?"

"I'll try anything," she replied to Mandark. The two had made their way into the store when Dexter figuratively tripped.
Uno paused to look the other teen in the eyes. Not cause she recognized him, no, but because he was staring at her blankly. The silence was rather awkward when the shorter teen finally spoke.
Because despite the time she had spent in Mandark's systems, she had not run across any Dexter files. Mandark probably had Zero and a malfunctioing virus protection system to thank for this. Most of the files had been eaten through and Uno had been to busy not being "killed" to notice what little remained of the files.
"Um.... no?" she replied. She looked over at Mandark with an expression that seemed to read 'Should I know him?'

Contrary to popular belief, Mandark is indeed the master of Twitch-Fu. Ergo, his eye-twitch was returned. Even quicker than before. There just HAD to be a record for most twitchy, or most awkward moments in one day. If there was, Mandark could very well be a contender.
In fact, the situation was so... awkward, that he was able to override his 'KEEL DEXTER, KEEEEEL' senses.
"Uno looks nothing like Dee Dee(my love), you fool. Perhaps your corrective eye-wear needs to be inspected... muahaha." Mandark responded, halfheartedly.
Perhaps going into the city, especially the mall, was a very bad idea.

(Twitch-Fu? AWESOME. XD)
Dexter regarded the two very strangely. Judging by their reactions, it was safe to assume the supposed girl that was with Mandark was in fact NOT his sister, thank the stars for that.
But that hardly reduced the creepiness factor of the situation. In fact, when Mandark had established her as one of his robots, Dexter only had one thing to say to that. But instead of saying it politely, he growled it through clenched teeth, eyes narrowed.
"You sick freak."

"Hey, no need to be rude to him!" Uno said, not really grasping what Dexter's issue was from. Had she known, she might have had more trouble forming words. As it really was rather awkward, especially since she had yet to realize her human form wasn't intended to come out like this.
"Uh... who are you, anyways?" she turned and spoke to Mandar next, who was still having twitch issues, "Um... You're going to be okay, right?"
He really was quite worse than usual. As in, setting new records even for himself. At least from what Uno had seen of this habit.

"This... isn't what it looks like." Mandark said, pretty much out of responses.
'Yeah, she wasn't SUPPOSED to end up that way. Sir Genius over here just fail-'
"COMPUTER THIS IS A BAD TIME!" It's a wonder he didn't break his chair arm, considering how hard he slammed his fist down...
...those three times he slammed it down.
"Yes, I... I'm going to be fine." Mandark answered Uno, rubbing the bridge of his nose.
"Just what are YOU doing here, anyway?" He sighed.

"I[/b] was minding MY own business and searching this commercial outlet for possible purchases," Dexter replied bitterly. "Normally I would refuse to give you the time of day and carry on with my business, but this!" He gestured to Uno. "This I CANNOT stand for! At least change her appearence, you love-sick nutcase!"

Uno looked at Mandark as his Computer explained she wasn't supposed to look like that, "Really? Oh! Wow, I'm sorry about earlier then! Although," back to Dexter, "If he made the assumption too I guess its normal?" She glared, "Hey, I asked your name you know! No need to be so rude! What is your issue with this, anyways? Just because you don't like Mandark is no reason to turn into a spazz on him!"
Oh, Uno, you have no idea the full situation. Not at all... Hilarious "viewer knows but character doesn't" issue aside, Uno looked rather annoyed at this point. She was standing with her hands on her hips and glaring at Dexter. And the lights in the music store flickered and it was entirely possible Dexter and Mandark's equipment glitched momentarily.
Luckily the two boys were smart enough to have beyond top of the line virus protection programs, so they're systems would recover before anything serious happened. Beyond noticing something had occured, nothing major would happen. The lights in the store, however, still fllickered. Uno continued to glare at Dexter.

At this point, it would appear a good time for Mandark to rage. However, Dexter had caught him off guard for a moment. There was a reason he hadn't changed her appearance... besides the fact that he hadn't tried, of course.
"Er... I actually can't change her appearance..."
Mandark has just missed two witty comebacks. It's the apocalypse all over again!

OH NOES.
Well, if there was an award for strangest meetings, this one would take the cake. Dexter looked between a quietly raging Uno and a highly embarressed Mandark, and the boy genius was for once unsure of what to make of this situation.
"...what do you mean 'you can't?'"
