(OOC: You really really need knowledge of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor canon (at the very least Shin Megami Tensei or Persona) to be a good contributor to the RP. So yeah. So far only me and FF)
An extremely handsome young man, around 22 years or so, strode through the plaza like he owned the place. He had rather long black hair, neatly pulled back so that the bangs were non-existant. The ponytail, held in place with what looked to be a silver (as in the precious metal) ring, was long enough that it hung down to the base of his spine. His eyes were one of the more gorgeous shades of blue you'd ever come across. He was Japanese appearing, and had an extremely well taylored navy suit on. It was the Japanese equivalent of Armani as well, with the shirt being a deep shade of purple.
He had a large gold ring on each of his middle fingers as well, a rather large sapphire set at the top of each. The way he walked and carried himself reeked of confidence and success. It was the type of person people would think they'd seen on television as a famous business owner to make themselves look smarter. Or honestly mistake it. After all, for how he appeared he had to be rich, right?
He was glancing around the area in an attempt to get a layout of the Island. He'd explored the woods pretty throughly, although had been the "victim" of rather rude encounter early that morning. The half-demon and human child that had come into his domain made it clear the time for hiding was over. He needed to learn more about this world he'd cast himself too in an attempt t avoid death.
Of course, this wasn't his true form and he was having to put significant effort into concealing his demonic aura. Only the most sensitive would realize something was off about the man, and even then only those that would't be distracted by his charisma. The only type of person that even stood a chance of realizing his truest nature would be those with the power of the Bel Demons... after all, Belphegor wasn't called "The Lost Bel" for the hell of it.

At the moment, K1 and Yuugi were walking through the plaza, on their way back to the apartment complex. It had been a long day, complete with an adventure into a whole another dimension. As it was, both of them were rather exausted.
Which meant that what was about to happen next was going to make this day even better.
As K1 walked into the plaza, he sensed something nearby. It was an odd feeling, but it was one he recognised. It was the presense of a Bel demon. And as someone in line for the Throne of Bel, it made him afraid.
He stopped and started scanning the plaza, looking for anything like a demon nearby.

The silence the teens shared, for once, had been a result of exhaustion rather than awkwardness. Yuugi was actually feeling pretty god about himself after the events of the TV World. A bit tired, but after the Dark Hour from the night before and the TV World, it was really quite the wonder the spiky-haired boy wasn't asleep on his feet.
Yuugi looked questioningly at K1 as he stopped. Not a smooth stop, but almost as if he'd run into an invisible wall. There was an expression in K1's eyes of which he nor his other self had seen the exact incarnation of during their time on the island. It resembled the expression of panic the teen had when he'd seen Osiris, but there was something else there... -----
Belphegor paused as he walked, carefully turning towards the main part of the plaza. He'd sensed something he quite frankly had no expectations of feeling in this world. He knew without very little doubt those in line for the Throne of Bel thought him dead. Had one gotten wind of his presence here? His eyes scanned the people, well aware the Bels could take human form if the needed. It was no uncommon for them to use a human as a host, either. But his eyes narrowed as he sensed something else.
It wasn't just the power of a single Bel he was sensing. It was the power of one who had defeated others. And that wasn't the most disconcerting factor. No, the one that set him the most on edge was that he sensed the taint of human energy, and not in the "host" sense of the feel. He finally pinpointed the source. If K1 picked up on the black-haired "human" he'd know he was being stared at rather intensely by a man he'd never met before. -----
"K1-kun...?" Yuugi asked. Atem wasn't sure what the blue-haired teen was looking for, but K1 was practically radiating fear...

K1 clenched his COMP close by him, and looked between the black-haired "man" before him, and everyone around him. If they started fighting here, too many innocents would get caught up in their fight. The Bel before him would likely attack as soon as he could.
Without a second thought, K1 began to run for the exit, and towards the wilderness outside.

"Hey, K1-kun!" Yuugi shouted.
Belphegor had just gotten all the evidence he needed. He glanced over to Yuugi before slipping into an alley. Yuugi's stance shifted and Atem ran towards the alley the black haired man had slipped into. He couldn't claim to know what was going on, but K1 had bolted from the area like Death itself was on his heels. This likely had to do with K1's past, like Yuugi had thought before the switch. He was shuffling his cards as he ran, which looked rather impressive.
What K1 had missed in his panic was that there was no death clock above his head. Which implied many things, really. Belphegor maintained his human form as he followed K1's aura, using it as a guide as he crisscrossed through the back alleys of the city. He was aware Atem was following him, but he could blast both he and the figure in his puzzle if it came to that.
Belphegor realized where K1 was headed and made for the wilderness area himself. Odds were he'd get there before the human. It had been a rather severe reaction, he just wanted to talk. At least for now...

K1 didn't look back as he ran, only trying to weave through the crowds of people as he ran. This was bad, very bad. A Bel, here. The Laplace Mail hadn't even mentioned it! The Mail must have been breaking down again... all of this was bad, very bad.
Finally, the blue-haired teen reached the wooded area outside of the city, and collapsed on top a rock. This wasn't good. He was too exausted. If it came down to a fight, he most certainly would lose.
And to top things off, it looked like Belphegor had followed him outside after all. And after he hadn't sensed the demon the whole time he was running. "You're a new one," K1 said, as he turned around and adjusted his headphones. They had partially slipped off as he ran.

Belphegor looked up from the tree he was leaning against. It had taken the human a bit longer than he expected. His first thought at K1's condition was indeed to kill him then and there, but he staved off the thought. The mere fact that a human had the power of several Bels was more than enough reason to tread carefully.
He pushed himself off the tree and gestured as he spoke. His voice was rather regal, almost like one would expect nobilityu to speak, "You think you're surprised? Imagine my own, to see a human with the powers of several Bels coursing through his spirit. However, you seem to think I'm going to attack you. Have the Bels gotten stupid in my absence? None in their right mind would attack in the middle of a crowded city."
Belphegor paused and looked to the side, "Ah, it seems one of your friends is here."
As if he'd been summoned Atem burst out of the trees. He had five cards in his hand and he was panting from the run. He glared at Belphegor, who smirked, "This isn't really any of your business," he stated. It was too ambiguous to tell if it was meant as an observation or threat. Atem was pulling a card up from his hand...

"Atem, don't!" K1 yelled. He lifted himself up off of the rocks. "This is between me and him." He gave a few breaths, before responding to Belphegor.
"If it hadn't been for my intervention, Beldr would have killed nearly five hundred people," K1 said, clenching his fists. "Five hundred people who couldn't escape because of that damn lockdown."
As it was, K1 didn't seem much like a Bel, and most of this conversation would probably require explanation to Atem and Yuugi, if it didn't get explained during the conversation itself.

"We have to help him!"
Atem however nodded after a brief pause and folded up the cards. He'd had full intentions of summoning one of the Three Phantom Gods first chance he got, but K1 made it clear he didn't know the full situation.
Belphegor smirked, "The one in charge is smarter than you, it seems."
Atem's eyes widened, and Yuugi jerked. The man had been talking to Yuugi, quite clearly. Atem narrowed his eyes. There was definently more going on here than met the eye. Belphegor turned back towards K1. Atem watched the situation intently as he pulled his cards out to shuffle them. He'd be ready to help K1 if the situation de-escalated.
"Lockdown?" Belphegor paused, thinking back to the city he had seen K1 in. It was more than possible the world he knew had advanced. As it was, K1 was striking him as odd. He'd never met a Bel who would care about five hundred dead if the situation was presented. A possible effect of being human? "What's your name, anyways? It seems odd a human would be granted the right to compete in the War."

K1 sighed. There was no use hiding it. "My name is Keiichi Kimura, otherwise known as Abel, the Bel of the Human World."
It looked like the cat was out of the bag. He looked up at Belphegor. "And what about yourself? You look human enough, though I've been fooled before."

Yuugi's jaw practically hit the floor. He wasn't very knowledgable on the Judeo-Christian religion. Atem kept his poker face, a skill he'd had since before meeting Yuugi. That explained a lot, such as the reference to reincarnation. It still didn't explain the fear of God, but Atem had a feeling it might come up in this conversation. Yuugi went to say something but Atem shook his head, "Later, partner. When we can talk privately."
It was outloud. The situation meant keeping the conversation inside was a method in futility. The man K1 was talking with could hear them both, either way.
Belphegor raised an eyebrow, seemingly surprised, "I did forget to introduce myself, pardon the rudeness. My name is Belphegor, god of invention. And you're right about the form. It seems this place is isolated enough..."
In a flash of dark energy, probably a little reminiscent of Yuugi's shadow in the TV world for comfort, Belphegor took his true form. It was still rather humanoid, the closest comparison being Beldr and still quite the stretch then. Yuugi worked at keeping his focus, but even if K1 hadn't been, he had been reminded of the TV World. And Kikuri-hime had shown that the powers of demons and shadows seemed to overlap on occasion.
However, rather uncomparable to the TV world was the nearly blinding energy. Atem was now the one having to work at planting his feet. He wasn't generally sensitive to that kind of thing, but even he could feel Belphegor's power. He had thought it was a surge of the transformation, but it stayed at the peak. Those that actually saw the power level in auras would see a black glow around the demon for at least a foot in all directions, more in many places. A black mist would also be seen to those who could, rolling from around Belphegor's feet. He easily trumped the Bel demons K1 had fought so far.
"However, I'm a bit surprised God would send one of His favored ones into this mess," he stated upon finishing his transformation. He was also keeping an eye onto the reaction about the unfurling of his presence. He didn't particularly care about Atem and Yuugi. K1 was all he was focused on.

K1 tensed as he felt the rush of Belphegor's power, and felt that it was a good thing that he hadn't ended up fighting Belphegor during the lockdown... there was no way he could have won. This one was even stronger than Belberith. He probably could have easily won the Throne of Bel too... which in itself begged the question of why this Bel was here.
Once he managed to get over how powerful Belphegor was, K1 answered Belphegor.
"There's a lot more Abels now. I was just the lucky one who got caught up in the Lockdown," K1 explained. "And besides... God's no friend of Naoya's. Why should He be a friend of me?" Well, that explained a lot too.

Atem raised an eyebrow, but kept quiet. He had a lot of thoughts going through his head at this point. This teen who had been scared to death of the thought of God Cards was now insulting what appeared to be a irrefutable figure of his world. And for the first time, Atem was picking up on traces of darkness in the teen. He looked around and found a tree to lean against. He knew more of Judaism than Christianity due to learning his former country's history as a child. Enough to know that Abel rebelling against God was a pretty drastic occurance. Another thought occured to Atem. He'd have to ask about it later. It related to Naoya...
Belphegor smirked, "You're either very smart or extroidinarily stupid. Is this 'Naoya' in this world? I think I'd like to speak with him... However, if you truly do plan on pursuing the Crown, do know we'll eventually be fighting. And at the difference in our power levels, I don't see you winning," the Bel Demon's voice got darker as the sentence went on. By the time it ended, it had gone past darkness into an outright threatening tone.

"As far as I know, I don't need to fight you to get the crown," K1 said. "I just have to fight Babel, and then I can get the Throne. As for Naoya..." He shrugged. "I haven't seen him since I got here, so I'm thinking no."
He looked to the side, remembering that Atem was standing there that whole time. He'd kept the charade up this whole time, and then revealed it all in front of his only friends here. Midori didn't trust him anyways; she was just in denial about the events of the lockdown. For some reason, K1 felt nervous.
"I have to say, you're the only Bel I've seen that actually wants to talk," K1 said to Belphegor. "Why so?"

Yuugi was glancing nervously between the three other people there. Atem was rather firmly reassessing his opinion of K1. Yuugi wished they could talk, but his other self had a point. Belphegor could hear them.
Belphegor's calm smirking changed to a scowl. Things really had gotten out of hand in the human world of his home dimension. If this teen knew of Babel that much, there was going to have to be a change in plans. But he wanted to find this Naoya person. He, unlike most of the Bels, understood the value of tactics and knowing ones enemy. It was entirely possible Naoya was merely using K1 as a puppet. However, he'd been asked a question. He could answer that honestly, at least.
"I believe you humans have a phrase... something about keeping a closer eye on ones enemy than ones friends? Consider it a result of that," he turned towards Atem, chuckling at the intense glare of the Pharaoh, "Looks like you've seen a side of your friend you didn't know about before. Weakness starts from within. The three of you would do well to remember that."
The darkness surged inwards and Belphegor regained his human form. He turned back towards K1, "I have some research I must do, but rest assured we'll meet again. Make sure you've said your prayers to whatever force you worship in the absence of God before then..."
A circle of dark energy swirled around Belphegor's feet, and he suddenly vanished from view. Yuugi blinked and looked towards K1. Atem kept his ground. He wanted to see if the other teen would say anything before he spoke again. It had reached the point of treading carefully. If he had the facts right, K1's choices weren't bad, but they could corrupt him with the slightest mis-step...
