Ion shook his head. "No, nothing in particular. I came to this island not too long ago, so I'm just looking around."
Eriol stared at some of the stuff on the shelves. This was a lot of weapons. Did this woman really trust him around all of these? She wasn't locking them up in fear? Eriol guessed she really did trust him. That was a nice feeling, having someone trust him instead of looking like him like he was going to snap and kill someone like everyone else usually did. With reason of course. His history didn't lend well to trust.
He still felt no regrets.

Himitsu nodded and walked behind the counter. She smiled at Eriol, who seemed to be a little confused about the developments. She wanted to tell him about the shop, but she didn't want to talk in front of Ion. It wasn't that she didn't trust the young boy, but there was no need to say more than what was needed.
"If you see anything that catches your eye, let me know. I know the history of the items in my shop," she winked, "And all of it has history. Eriol, would you come over here? I want to teach you how the register works."

Eriol followed after Himitsu. Things like the cash register had always facinated him. It wasn't that he didn't understand how they worked; he knew that all too well (all of the dolls were fairly good mechanics), it was just that he had too much fun actually using these kind of things.
"Then can I ask what was in that chest that the man from before was looking in?" Ion asked.

Himitsu looked up, "Ah... well, I suppose you can look. Without knowing your history I'd advise against touching it. And it isn't for sale, I'm sure you understand. It is still unlocked and," Himitsu smacked her forehead, "Wonderful. He still has the key. Anyhow, feel free. But it isn't for sale."
She was really off her game today. She was far above blaming Naoya for it. Perhaps it was a conversation of things, but it wasn't just the fault of Cain's reincarnation. She had a feeling the God of some world was laughing at her idiocy. She turned to Eriol, "It's fairly complicated," she dropped her voice to a whisper, "Do you know any magic?"

"That's fine," Ion said, and walked over to the club. He was rather sure Himitsu didn't take Gald anyways (though she probably did).
Eriol shook his head. "We're incapable of using any magic besides that the keys generate."

Himitsu nodded, "All right, I'm sure I have something around that I can modify for this," she noticed the slight bit of emotion flick across Ion's face, "I can take any currency, by the way."

Ion looked up. "Oh, really? I'm not really that interested in weapons anyways, but thank you!" He went back to examining the club. It didn't seem like anything special... though the horn looked familliar. It almost resembled that of a creature from Mt. Roneal he'd read about once... the Jabberwock? There were a lot of creatures like that in Mt. Roneal. It was a dangerous place.
His eyes fell upon a sword in the corner. "Oh!" He ran over to it and picked it up. "This is the Vorpal Sword, one of the Material Blades! Where did you find it?" It was probably likely that this was a different Vorpal Sword from the one Ion knew, but it still excited him. At least it was a link to back home, in a way.
Eriol walked over to Ion. What was so interesting about a sword, anyways?

The sword Ion had picked up was indeed not the blade from his world. It was more similar to a katana than anything else, and the blade looked like some kind of purple metal. A thin blue strip ran down the center, but it only had the one edge of a katana. The hilt was silver and rather plain, although a blue vein pattern came down from the approximate location it entered the hand guard area. Ion's misconception about the blade likely came from faded images and apocrpyhal tales.
Himitsu looked up and smiled, "A strange world that children should never visit but often do. A little girl went there once, poor thing. I've heard it described as a bad cocaine trip, and many worlds seem to have tales of it. This sword has a purpose, but I somewhat doubt a Jabberwocky will be appearing on the island."
The energy coming off the sword was not of any fonon Ion would recognize. In fact, the conflict of energies was almost dizzying. It seemed a magical sword. But what likely caught Ion's attention was the word "Jabberwocky". She smiled at Eriol, he seemed unsure what to do with Ion's enthusiasm.

The Jabberwocky? Ion brightened. That was a monster from his own world! Another link back to home. Though he wasn't sure what this "cocaine" thing was... it sounded rather bad for someone, though.
As it was, it looked similar enough to the one from his own home dimension that he decided it was worth it to buy it. Besides, if he ever ran into Luke, Luke might need a new weapon, even if katanas were more of Guy's speciality. "How much for this sword?" Ion asked.

Himitsu pointed to a tag tied around the hilt of the sword, "Right there."
It would likely astound Ion that the amount was in a language he could understand. The sword as on the high end of inexpensive. It wasn't much more than a sword, really. Unless one ran into a Jabberwocky. Himitsu thought for a moment, "And don't be startled by the sound it makes when you swing it. It's perfectly normal."
(OOC: The sound it makes sounds roughly like "snicker-snack". This is what you get for using one of my favorite poems as plot fodder. XD)

"'Sound?'" Ion repeated. In any case, he picked up the sword and walked over to the register. The tag had read 25000 gald, so 25000 gald it was. Well, at least this store took gald, unlike a lot of stores around here. He pulled out his wallet and pulled out some gald coins of different denominations.

Himitsu glanced over at Eriol, "I don't think you can do this on your own, so I'll look for something to help you a bit later, okay?" She turned back at Ion's inquiry and winked, "You'll understand when you use it."
Himitsu ducked down and Ion likely felt the energy of whatever fonon was associated with spacial rends and distortions. It seemed a low enough level spell as Himitsu popped back up. She pressed a few buttons on the old fashioned cash register and it popped open, revealing neatly arranged gald. Himitsu had never been to Ion's dimension, but she recognized the currency from a few she had been to. She handed the boy his change.
"Thank you," she replied, giving a kind smile.

"No, thank you," Ion said. "You've shown me kindness in this strange world. I'll try to come back again sometime, Himitsu. Thank you for everything!" The bell on the door jingled as Ion stepped outside.
Eriol sighed. "Is there anything I can do? Sweep? Dust?"

"Of course," said Himitsu. She turned towards Eriol, "I suppose I should teach you a bit how this shop works, shouldn't I? Well, let's start with the basics. How much do you know of pocket dimensions?"

"...Pocket dimension?" Eriol repeated. Obviously, he knew nothing at all when it came to them.
