Himitsu chucked a bit, "All right. From the beginning. You see the shop, correct? This maybe makes up 1/100th of my collection. A lot of it is far too dangerous to be selling to the average customer. Things like genie's lamps. Real genies, the type that caused the phrase "careful what you wish for" to come to pass. The rest of it is stored in its own dimension protected with more magical seals than the entire country of Japan."
She now paused to see if Eriol was following at all. It may be she'd need to simplify more.

Eriol's head tilted. "Uh huh..." It was rather obvious he did not know what Himitsu was going on about.

The look she gave was not judgmental. It was not uncommon for the concept of dimensions to trip people up. She thought for a moment and tried from a different angle, "You know this isn't your world correct?"
It was possible the doll thought it to be merely a different country. But Himitsu wasn't annoyed in the least. She had a good level of patience, and it was cases like this that it showed.

Eriol nodded, thought about it, and then shook his head. "...I really wasn't sure. This world is so weird."
Despite initial appearances, once calmed down, it seemed Eriol had more in common with his younger brother than he cared to admit.

It was something to work with, "Okay. This world we're in right now is an alternate dimension from your own. In fact, there is no "true" dimension. Are you familiar with the term 'Butterfly Effect' by any chance?"
The Butterfly Effect and Chaos Theory, Himitsu had found, was one of the best ways to explain the Multiverse. It was basically the force responsible for the Multiverse, after all...

"Butterfly effect...?" Eriol asked. He'd heard the term before, but couldn't remember where. He was searching his memories for where he'd heard it before.
"Ah. First described in 1890, and popularized in 1906... then they would have developed it right after I woke up again," Eriol said. "A butterfly's wings flapping can drastically change the weather, right?"

Himitsu nodded, "It's an explanation at how the smallest thing can indescribably change the future. Now imagine that when the universe was born, all the infinite possibilities of things that could go in any infinite number of directions. Each difference created a different universe, over and over until there were more universes than possible to keep track of," she paused, "Don't worry if you can't get it. No one truly can."

"Ah," Eriol said. "...thanks anyways." He turned away and walked over to a shelf. He seemed to be rather focused on cleaning. In fact, it was rather likely he wasn't listening much at all to the explanation. Things like this tended to confuse him.
"Do you have anything to dust with?" Eriol asked.

Himitsu softly sighed. It seems she'd caused the doll's mind to misfire. She held out her hand and a duster appeared between her fingers. She'd considered going with a more modern variety, but she wasn't sure how much Eriol knew of those kinds. So she had a fairly old version.
"If you would like to talk more, feel free. I'm going to go search for something that can help you operate the register. And don't worry about customers, I have my ways of knowing when they arrive," she winked.
