(OOC: And moderate knowledge of the Shin Megami franchise is pretty important to being invited. So far, me and FF are the only solid ones, but Felix is allowed if he gets a stroke of inspiration)
Yuugi mumbled something and moved his arms. His eyes slowly opened as his hand came in contact with something other than his clothes. He yawned and looked down, blinking a few times at the blanket on top of him. He rubbed his eyes and looked around. He was still a bit groggy as he looked down at the Millenium Puzzle. He could feel Atem's presence, but it seemed the Pharaoh was still unconscious. His eyes furrowed with worry. How long did the effects of the Dark Hour last?
He stretched his arms, wincing a bit at the popping. He pushed off the blanket and stood up. A digital clock across the room showed the time to be 9:02 AM. Yuugi blinked a few times and looked towards the window. Oh, the shades were drawn. That explained why it was dark in here. He glanced over at K1, who appeared to still be asleep. Well, the other teen had gotten more hurt last night, and didn't have the dual mind thing to support him when he got exhausted. Yuugi tried to stifle another yawn and opened the door.
His COMP beeped once, but the sound was muted a bit by the weak battery. Coupled with his tiredness, he completely missed the arrival of the Laplace Mail... and this was the wrong day to miss it. As one of the predictions involved an occurance at the Apartment Complex at 9:10 AM. If Yuugi had seen a mirror, maybe he could have realized something. For a number was floating above the teenager's head, a rather odd occurance in that there had been no number yesterday.
It read zero, and while many factors had caused it, one of the main ones was that Yuugi's deck pouch had fallen off the belt, and lay on the spot he had been sleeping. His only line of defense against the dangers both of and beyond the island left as he made his way to the bathroom.
Yuugi wandered down the hall, trying to stretch and yawn the sleep out of his system. It was a rather odd feeling, not having Atem to talk to. He pushed open the door to the bathroom, not noticing the minute amount of sparking the DS-like object in his pocket was doing...

K1 rolled over in his sleep, before bonking his head on the chair.
"Ow!" The boy sat up, and rubbed his forehead. Oh yeah, he'd stayed the night at Minato's place, since it had been so late. At the moment, K1's COMP was beeping like crazy. He sighed, and opened it up to check out the latest Laplace Mail.
K1 flinched at this. That was... impossible. What could Yuugi have done for his Death Clock to go down so fast? The teen ran as fast as he could toward the bathroom.

Yuugi passed in front of a mirror and paused, looking down at the COMP in his pocket. The sparks were fairly minor, so much so that he couldn't even feel them. He winced, expecting pain as he grabbed the machine, but they stopped when he touched it. He looked at the machine for a moment, noticing the red power light as he flipped it open.
And proceeded to drop it on the ground as the sparks resumed and something seemed to jump out of the machine. He fell backwards, wincing from the pain of impact but not removing his eyes as a jackal like creature materialized. The creature looked fairly confused and Yuugi reached for his deck pouch.
He looked down and his eyes got wide as he saw it wasn't there. The brown canine-like creature looked down and saw Yuugi, and their eyes locked for a few seconds. Yuugi's remained terrified the entire time, but the jackal creature's confused look spread to... It reminded Yuugi of Yami Bakura. That almost hungry look.
"You summon? I kill! I kill and be free!"
The jackal brought what looked like a glorified pipe down, and Yuugi barely managed to scoot back in time to avoid getting hit. He looked at the door as he tried to scramble to his feet, falling again as the creature leapt forward and swung again.
"HELP!" he shouted, knowing the odds of someone hearing him were slim. If only Atem were there, but he still appeared unconscious. Yuugi realized he was going to die, and his already terrified face became even more so.

It took K1 some time to find the bathroom, precious minutes that could have been spent helping Yuugi. This was insane. Plus... the mails weren't even supposed to be coming anymore. So why were they...
Finally finding the bathrooms, K1 slammed open the door, and saw the Kobold. He glanced between the demon and the COMP on the ground.
"Yuugi, you have to defeat it! Where's your cards?" K1 asked. He was working on summoning a demon himself, but it was taking some time.

Both the demon and Yuugi jerked to the side as the door slammed open. The Kobold looked between the two for a moment, giving Yuugi a chance to respond.
"I can't find them!" he shouted. However, he hadn't had quite the chance to respond as he thought, and the weapon of the Kobold hit him in the foot. He jerked it back but stared down. That monster had hit him with all its force, and it had hurt... but it felt like it could still carry his weight. That didn't quite seem right...
The Kobold looked confused too, tilting its head as it looked at its weapon. It was then that a lightweight aluminum wastebin hit it in the head. Yuugi had taken the moment of distraction to get to his feet and grab the nearest thing. However, when the Kobold screamed and held its head, it was time for Yuugi to be confused again. The contents of the bin, mostly wadded paper and a few cigarettes, now littered the bathroom floor.
It hadn't been that heavy, and he certainly wasn't that strong. But the demon looked to be in a fair amount of pain aside from the shock, "What's going on!?" he shouted towards K1, his eyes looking for anything else he could throw.

K1 was about to respond when his COMP suddenly powered down. "Crap! I forgot to charge it!" He stepped back a little bit, and looked at the wastebin.
"Yuugi! I don't have time to explain, just keep attacking that demon!" K1 yelled. He grabbed the wastebin and threw it at the Kobold again. "Hey! Ugly!"
The demon growled and charged at K1, who was having a hard time dodging its attacks due to the cramped space of the bathroom. It was a fairly large bathroom, but that didn't mean it wasn't still cramped.

Yuugi quickly nodded. He had fought on his own before, but it had been with cards. And Bakura's past life, as created by Atem's memories, had nearly won. K1 seemed to think the situation could be handled, he had to trust him. He knew more about this than Yuugi did.
Yuugi's eyes settled on a mop a janitor had left behind. How had he missed that before? He ran over to it, telling himself this was not the time to questions strokes of luck. He brought it down as the Kobold was about to impact K1 with a rather severe injury. It clacked down on the demon's head, and it dropped its weapon to hold its head again.
"Give! Give to strong human!" it shouted, seemingly having to fight to stay on its feet.
Yuugi blinked, dropping his guard. The thing had just been trying to kill them and it was suddenly giving up? The Kobold glanced nervously at K1 and backed up before turning to Yuugi.
"You win. Make contract. Is rules," and with that it vanished back into Yuugi's COMP, which finally lost its last bit of battery charge and blipped off.
The spiky haired teenager wanted to ask what had just happened, but he was still a bit dumbfounded. He stood there, mop in hand staring at the COMP, "Um....?"

K1 breathed a sigh of relief. "It means he wants to become your demon. Say yes, and he'll basically start hanging out in your COMP, and you can summon him whenever."
He glanced at the powered down COMP. "Looks like it somehow managed to summon him... that's really weird though, it's only supposed to summon demons the first time you power it up."
K1 shiverred. He didn't like the sound of this.

"I'm more used to cards, but it's probably better with everything that's been happening lately..." he said, looking at the COMP. It was obvious he was still a little leery about it. He wanted to ask K1 more about the entire situation, but the last time they'd hit the subject of K1's history, it had caused a rather long awkward silence.
Yuugi finally walked over to where the COMP had been dropped, and picked it up. There was a question he could ask safely, "Don't get me wrong, I'm really grateful, but how did you know I was in here? You were still asleep when I left..."
Something told the teen this was going to be another long day. He wished his friends were here. Jounouchi, Honda, Anzu, Bakura... even though there was a bit of tension between Malik and Atem, he would have even taken him. Ishizu or Rishid, too. Kaiba wouldn't have hurt his feelings either, even though the issue of tension existed with him as well. He didn't like being in the dark like this, and he didn't even have Atem to talk to right now. Fact was, the teen was beginning to feel lonely.

"COMP went off. You were in the Laplace Mail. Though, it's rather useless right now, since the battery's dead," He sighed. "Not sure how we're going to charge our COMPs though. I'm still not completely sure they sell chargers here. We'll have to find one soon enough, though."
He glanced around the bathroom, looking nervous for some reason. "Let's head on out of here... this place makes me nervous."

Yuugi looked up and a rather comical but hard to read expression crossed his face, "Uh... I'll be right out!" It was probably pretty clear as to the situation. After all, Yuugi had been in the bathroom. -----
A few minutes later Yuugi walked out of the room. K1 was waiting for him. It was obvious Yuugi was a little depressive. The smile he put on when K1 turned towards him only made things more clear. He pointed towards Minato's apartment, "We should leave him a note if we're going to leave. You can head outside if you want, I'll be right there."
Yuugi waited for a response. He planned on writing a note on some paper he'd seen in Minato's apartment, telling him that something had come up. He wouldn't argue with K1 if he insisted on coming, but it wasn't what he wanted.

K1 nodded and waited outside for Yuugi.
The fact was, it should have been impossible for Yuugi's COMP to summon that Demon. The COMP had already been activated before, so it shouldn't have been able to resummon non-contracted demons in some way. Somehow or another, the COMP had broken the encription.
But how? The only person who could possibly do that was Naoya, and Naoya was most definitely not here at the moment. At least, he hoped so. Now wasn't the time for Naoya to show up. Things were bad enough without his cousin.
K1 sighed. On that note... what happened to him being in line for the Throne of Bel? And the whole "Abel's power awakening" thing too... Had that all gone away when K1 came onto the island? Actually... Now that K1 thought about it, Minato looked an awful lot like him. Abel's power had been spread thin in recent years. Many Abels. One Cain.
Suddenly, the "family resemblance" made so much more sense.
K1 looked up once Yuugi walked outside. "Are you ready?"

Yuugi had scrawled a quick note in Minato's house, and probably taken more time than K1 expected. He had to find his deck pouch. Apparently the stitching had come undone. He'd pulled the cards out of the pouch and placed them in a pocket of his shirt, throwing away the pouch from lack of places to store it. He'd noticed the tear in his jacket and sleeve as he did so.
As he had headed out, he'd noticed K1 leaning against the side of the building, apparently deep in thought. He'd made sure he made a bit of noise as he came out, hoping to get K1 to see him. It had worked. He wanted to pry less now than before despite his curiosity, so he used his outfit as an excuse. He pointed to the tear in his sleeve as he spoke.
"I think I need a change of clothes, though. I've had these on since I came to the island. You can probably tell..."
Yuugi was, of course, referencing the slight smell coming off the outfit. Not only had he had them since coming to the island, but he'd slept in them every night as well. Actually, he probably needed a shower as well. He felt a bit grimy, and the pools of blood during the Dark Hour hadn't helped things. On that thought he looked down at his shoes. It was like the blood of the Dark Hour left when it ended, even if one had stepped in it.
He still needed a change though. Maybe it would lead more naturally into other things, like about K1's world. Atem was still out. That was the seed of his current worries at the time. The Pharaoh's presence was there, but was for all extensive purposes, comatose...

K1 nodded. "I probably need something else to wear too... I'm going to tell you right now, going one week in the middle of summer wearing these clothes and nothing but these clothes is like taking a walk through hell." He thought about it. "I am rather aware of the irony of that statement."
He sighed. "Anyways, we need to find a charger for our COMPs anyways. Let's go--" He paused, as he saw Souji walk out of the building. Souji wasn't wearing his glasses like he had the night before, and was still looking drowsy. In fact, it was probably a miracle he was up and walking around after the previous night, on the other hand, he had summoned a persona before.

"Irony?" Yuugi asked. K1 had made another slip. Yuugi didn't know much about the lockdown, and so any biblical references went over his head. One has to remember that in Japan, the term demon is more a reference to a spirit than of an epic battle of heaven vs hell. K1 seemed to either not hear or ignore the comment.
When he cut himself off and turned, Yuugi did the same. He paused for half a second too long before remembering he, or at least Atem, had met the teenager. He couldn't recall if he'd gotten his name, though. Still, at his core Yuugi was a nice guy. He cupped one hand around his mouth and waved to get the silver haired boy's attention.
"Hey, over here!" he said. He felt a little rude doing so, but it wasn't like he knew the teen's name...
