Atem glanced back towards the bedroom before turning his focus back to K1, "I can't help you with the choice. Either one will likely have repurcussions."
He felt ready to fall asleep on his feet. But he was fighting to keep this conversation up as much as K1 wanted. That precipice that the teen had stepped away from seemed to be back. And he as teetering in the wrong direction more than before... -----
Naoya saw the expression on Souji's face. Any traces of continuing to snark he may have had were gone. He kept Ameterasu and Nyarlahotep out. He had to glare at Ameterasu to get her to pull away from Souji, but she did so. The teen looked about ready to snap. He knew the look, in more ways than one. The three left Souji in the apartment.

K1 looked a little nervous. "Can we... not talk about this?" he requested. The conversation was making him more than a little uncomfortable, especially since he knew Atem didn't care much for Naoya as it was.
--------------------
Souji stood in the apartment for a few more minutes before walking back outside. He didn't bother trying to fix Adachi's door as he left. If someone stole stuff from Adachi's apartment, it wasn't Souji's problem.
He figured he'd meet back up with K1, Yuugi, and Atem later. At the moment, there were more important things.
------------------
Minato, as it was, was still awake. He was staring at the Evoker, which he'd layed on the covers of his bed. He was worried. What if Orpheus stayed rogue? Would he become like Strega? Having to take Persona suppressants that would eventually kill him anyways? Which would be the worse death, death by his Persona or death by suppressant? Oh, hell, where would he even get Persona suppressants in the first place? There was no one else from his universe here except Souji and Adachi, and their way of persona summoning was very different from his own.

Atem nodded, having resorted to using the door frame for support, "I need rest, so I'll see you later."
As he closed the door, he was well aware it migjht be taken as rude. But he couldn't recall ever being this tired. He all but collapsed on the couch and was actually asleep before his head hit the armrest. Although he didn't show it as much as he could, his mind was in a pretty heavy turmoil itself. He had been thankful none of their friends had pushed the situation Yuugi had put them in. He'd abandoned his past in the favor of his present, and he still wasn't sure it had been the right choice. -----
Naoya drew his demons up just as he came out of the stairwell. And just as Atem closed the door. He walked over to his cousin, awaiting the teen's reaction.

K1 turned to look at Naoya. "Oh. Hey, Naoya. What did Souji want you to do?" he asked.

"Break down a door, apparently. I think he was going to kill this Adachi I keep hearing about, but he wasn't there. Left a note. Souji crushed it before I could get a look at it," he was in the process of pulling out the key to his door when he winced. The key hit the carpeted hall way and Naoya muttered darkly. It was apparent he had some very familiar looking burns, although they were only on his fingertips, not counting the thumb.

K1 tensed as he saw the burns on Naoya's fingers, and then he freaked. "H-how did you get those? You didn't go to that old lady's shop, did you?" He bent down and picked up Naoya's apartment key, before unlocking the door for him.

"I didn't get them at any shop," Naoya replied, deftly dodging the other question. He used his other hand to get the key back from K1 and walked inside.
"What's more important is training. You have two people gunning for you now. And don't take this wrong, but that Kaini seems the type that would lead something as idiotic as the Crusades or the Inquisition if given the chance. At least if he could get past his own insecurities. Those might be the only barrier between things de-escalating right now," he glanced at Keiichi. There was a good odd questions were going to start occuring now that the situation was at a low point. Like if Keiichi's parents were really his parents.

Like Naoya had predicted, a flood of questions escaped from K1.
"...If Kaini's my brother, then are my parents not my real parents? And how could he have ended up seperated from me in the first place? And where the hell has he been? And..." He was stuttering. This whole event had just been completely and utterly overwhelming.

Naoya sighed. There it was.
"The best I can answer is what I observed growing up. I don't think your mother is your birth mother. There were slight indications here and there, nothing to really note without the knowledge that you have a sibling. As for how you were split up, I'd say only the courts know. As for where he's been, I can't directly answer that. But his Japanese is barely noticably off, I'd say he was in another country," Naoya paused and took a breath, "Probably not a small town, judging by how he dresses. I'd say a big city, although I can't really explain why I think that."
He stopped and looked at his cousin. The teen was very flustered right now. It would be a weakness that would be used against him by Belphegor, who had been suspiciously quiet. How long did the demon feel he needed to observe? There was another option based on the research he'd done. It was possible the demon didn't even want the Throne, and was only in the fight to prevent someone else from taking it.

K1 went silent again. A large city? That could be anywhere then. But going by Kaini's small mishaps with Japanese, he was going to have to guess outside of Japan as well. He sighed.
"I'm gonna go sleep for a while," K1 said. He hadn't realized how exausted he was until just now. What fun.

Naoya nodded. He walked over to the computer and brought up the Island's version of the Internet. He needed to do some research, and it would have struck him as humorous in other cases. Him, doing research about.. well... himself. The Cain and Abel myth, in any case. God wasn't one that just threw people into the line of fire without a reason, however flimsy it may have been. He had recalled Kaini's reaction at the Church.
Also, he hated not knowing things. Which got rarer with each life he lived, somehow making it even more irritating.

As K1 settled into Naoya's bed, he started thinking about K2. This person was the exact opposite of him, and yet they were brothers. How on earth did that even work in the first place.
He sighed and rolled over. He was exausted from the TV World. In fact, he felt like sleeping for a very long while...

Naoya was surprised to find a yawn escape. He guessed it was a combination of the Dark Hour and, whether he wanted to really admit it or not, stress. He quickly shut his computer down and headed over to the couch. He took the time to set his COMP to 5 in the morning before falling asleep himself. The research would have to wait for another time...

The next morning, Souji woke up fairly early to watch the news like he usually did. Seemed fairly normal... though there was something rather concerning about someone's heart getting torn out at the ITS. Still, it seemed rather standard fare.
And then the next news story came on.
"In today's news, another body has been found dead hanging upside down near the El Grande Mall, this time from a telephone pole. Unlike the last time, police are unable to figure out how the victim died. The victim was a store clerk at the Radio Shack in El Grande Mall, and had..."
Souji didn't hear the rest of it, though, because the next thing he did was rush right out the door and head for Minato's room.
After several loud knocks, Minato opened the door. He still looked rather exausted, both physically and mentally.
"Yes?" Minato asked.
"We've got a problem. Another person's been found dead," Souji said. "They were found hanging upside down from a telephone pole. We need to go get Yuugi, Atem, and K1 now."

Naoya caught wind of the news via the Internet, or what passed for it on the Island. This placewas pretty limited. Somebody seemed to be controlling what information got there, and it seemed that people of anime arriving effected the output of those franchises here. Almost as if someone were trying vainly to protect them. It meant that the news got pushed to the top of most searches, and as he quickly scanned over them he sighed. The others were going to get Keiichi. He glanced over at the bedroom. The teen was still asleep.
He got up and tapped on the door to announce himself, walking over to the bed and yanking the covers off, "Keiichi, Souji will be here soon." -----
Atem was completely out of it, moreso than he had been last night when K1 had come to check on him and Yuugi. Yuugi wasn't in a much lighter sleep. The worry over Atem had faded and he was probably sleeping better than he had in at least a few days.
