K1 groaned and sat up. "Naoya... this is what alarm clocks are for. You're not an alarm clock.
Of course, at that moment, Souji did start banging on the door. K1 pulled his sweater on before walking on over to the door. He pulled it open, seeing Minato, standing there half dressed. Okay, so maybe Souji hadn't been at the door after all.
"Souji says they found a body hanging from a telephone pole, so we have to hurry and go," Minato said. He yawned, obviously still tired. K1 nodded, and slipped on his shoes before heading out the door. Souji was knocking on Yuugi's apartment door. Obviously this was urgent; Souji hadn't changed out of his pajamas before running up here.

"The one that was set for an hour from now? We're about to have company," was Naoya's resposne before the banging started. He turned his head as Keiichi headed towards the door. Maybe it wasn't Souji.
"Do you want me to come with you?" he asked his cousin as Keiichi headed out the door. It seemed a genuine offer. And it was, although it was more fueled by Naoya's concern over the encounter yesterday afternoon. -----
Once more, it was Atem who heard the banging. At least this time the "first" qualifier could be had. Atem was about halfway up when he saw Yuugi walking past him out of the corner of his eye. He let his head fall back onto the arm rest. He barely felt like he'd had an hour's worth of sleep. Yuugi was rubbing his eyes as he opened the door, blinking when he saw Souji. There was some mixture of panic and rage on the teen's face.
"...It's Adachi-san, isn't it?" he said, his own face shifting to a mixture of concern and worry.
Atem forced himself to sit up again. If Yuugi was right, which he had little doubt about once he saw Souji, they'd both need to go. Despite still feeling.. well, plain exhausted, he wanted to have a word with the man himself. He also wanted to talk to Souji about the obvious violent emotions. Death was an awfully easy route to give a serial murderer...

"If you want," K1 said. After the previous day, he'd feel a lot safer with Naoya with them. Especially after what had happened to Minato. He looked down at Minato's belt, where the Evoker usually was. He seemed to have left it back in the apartment
--------
"I don't see anyone else it could have been," Souji said. "He must have done it after we got back last night."
What he didn't mention was that Adachi had left town sometime recently, going by the note he had left. So Adachi would have had to do it sometime while Atem was in the TV World. Plus, this didn't fit any of his patterns before. He had only killed two people and possibly attempted to kill another, and the first two deaths had been done back when no one had any suspicions of him, and the attempted third one had been interrupted when they found out who he was. Plus there had been a rather large gap between the second death and the attempted third.

"You need to learn to be more assertive," Naoya jived. He looked over at Minato, not missing the lack of Evoker any mor than Keiichi had, "I'm coming with you today." -----
"I'm coming too..." Atem said, obviously having to focus on standing up. Souji knew rather well how much rest a person needed after a forced excursion in the TV World. Atem walked over to the door. Yuugi looked at him, extremely worried. He didn't seem like he was going to argue it, however. He pulled out the deck in his pocket and handed it to Atem, who looked down.
"If you have to come, you should have something, right...?"
Atem looked like he was about to argue, but took the cards, "We should go," he told Souji.

Souji nodded. If Atem was going to come along, he wasn't going to stop him.
K1 sighed, and turned to face Souji. "Hey! If we're leaving, then could you go put on some clothes?" Souji realized that he'd rushed up there too fast to change out of his pajamas, and turned to leave.
"I was going to do that." Souji said. He headed down the stairs, and there was the sound of a door slam about a minute later. K1 sweatdropped before turning to Minato. "You might want to fix your uniform before you go," K1 said. There was a bit more concern in his voice than normal. As for the Evoker, he didn't comment on it. If Minato's Persona had gone berserk, it was probably better that he couldn't summon it.

Atem looked down at his own clothes. He looked over at Yuugi, "How long was I in the TV World?"
Yuugi looked away, "About two days..."
Atem looked down at his clothes again, although this time he was pocketing the deck. Two days? His clothes seemed in awfully good condition for that. On that note, he'd need to go shopping. Being split from Yuugi as he was, none of Yuugi's stuff would fit him anymore. The only reason the current outfit did was likely a result of it being what Yuugi was wearing when the Puzzle was stolen. He looked fairly rough, but it was from exhaustion rather than any problem with the outfit.
"You might want to change," he stated.
Yuugi blinked for a moment. He hadn't spent any time getting ready. He doubted Souji would take long, so he nodded and dashed into the back room. Atem sighed, sometimes Yuugi's concern for his friends over-rode any common sense. He glanced at Naoya and the two shared a rather short glare. Atem didn't seem to show any intentions of leaving the apartment until Yuugi came back out, which would probably be around the time Souji got back upstairs.

Souji walked back up the stairs a few minutes later, wearing his old Yasogami uniform. Minato was adjusting the tie on his own uniform, and looked a bit more decent than he had before, though he still looked fairly exausted. Souji had stopped by Minato's appartment and grabbed his sword from the day before on the way back up, and handed it to Minato.
"You have a lot of weapons in your apartment," Souji said. K1 remembered all of the weapons Minato had used during that first Dark Hour. The blue haired teen seemed to prefer short swords, though.
"Well, are we ready to go?" K1 asked. Souji nodded.

Yuugi came out about the same time that Souji handed the sword to Minato. He was back to wearing a sleeveless shirt and vest number, although his shirt was a different color than Atem's. Other than that, the teens were wearing the same outfit.
Atem glanced down at Yuugi, who was fidgeting, "I hope the police are willing to talk to you. It's possible Adachi soured them to you." Atem stated flatly. The more observant, such as Naoya, would pick up on a very slight hint of anger. Atem was seething over Adachi's recent actions, he was just better at controlling it than Souji. Well, that and he hadn't been involved in the events of Souji's world. Yuugi seemed to relax a bit, almost as if Atem had said what was on his mind.
"I think we're ready..." Yuugi said, glancing at the others to see if any of them objected.
Naoya didn't say anything, hanging just behind Keiichi. He felt an emotion something like pity for Adachi if Souji found him at the mall. Corrupt police officer or no, if Souji went beserk and killed the detective, he'd end up in jail. Whether events made the murder justifiable or not.
