Nanoha glanced back at the malfunctioning Raising Heart, and yelled "Protection!"
The staff was still taking her orders at least, repeating in Garbled English "Protection." She then ran back over and took her staff back before deactivating it. It certainly seemed to be listening to her now.
Midori was staring at where Zero had disappeared. A couple tears dropped from her eyes. He'd lied to her all along.
Nanoha nodded, and briskly walked over to the crowd. "Everyone, please procceed out all side entrances! Please, do not shove each other, and don't run, because you may trample someone."
Even though her tears Midori couldn't help but smile at how Nanoha was handling this situation.

With the immediate danger of getting hit by a projectile past, the crowd went from "trample anything to get away" mob mode into a more... "Just don't get in my way" mode. The danger of someone getting hurt seemed to be passed.
Chibi Moon breathed a sigh of relief. She was actually rather impressed with Nanoha herself, and thankful the chaos hadn't effected anyone's mind. She wavered between the cellphone remains and Midori for a moment before actually walking right past the demons so she could be close to the poor girl.
"I know this doesn't mean anything right now, but I'm sorry..."
It was meant to be comforting, but the thing was Chibi Moon wasn't really versed in this kind of thing. She'd been teased most of her life prior to running to the past to get the Silver Crystal of that era to free her mother. And her first love had been of the true kind. Helios.
"I... Do you want to be alone a while?"
Truth was, she was scared to death of the demons, but she stood her ground. If the women Mars had met had broken her heart like this... it was no wonder she hated them so. She hoped Dolly wouldn't go that route. Mars had her duty, but every once in a while she'd seem so lonely...

Midori wiped away some tears. "No, I'll be fine. It's just... I thought I'd finally achieved my dream, but it was just some act a bad guy was putting on..."
She sighed. "I guess I'll never be Magical Dolly. I'll always just be Midori Komaki."
Nanoha looked on, but didn't say anything. It didn't seem appropriate at the moment.

Chibi Moon couldn't come up with anything to say, either. She knew what it was like to be near others that could fight to protect their loved ones. Knew what it was like to be powerless in a situation that needed the help of a solider, not a civilian.
She looked away, holding her Chibi Moon kaleidoscope to the side and allowing it to fade in a flash of sparkles. She walked over to a bench near Nanoha and sat down.
Awkward silence and all that. She sighed and placed her elbows on her thighs, resting her head in her hands. Even if she couldn't contact him, at least she had someone...

Midori stared off into space. After a while, she pulled out her COMP and returned her demons to the inside of the COMP.
Once again, there was an awkward silence.
Nanoha decided to break the silence, and removed her Barrier Jacket in a flash of pink light. "Well, I think we all need a treat after what happened today. I'll pay."
Yes, that would work. Comfort food usually made people feel better, and it would keep this from becoming a giant uncomfortable mess.

Chibi Moon's eyes lit up for a split second before fading to depressed again. She shook her head and tried to put on a happy face. She walked over to Midori, "You up for that?"
She truly hoped Midori was right about the demons. The girl had obviosly been through a lot and Chibi Moon was feeling like a cad for being mean to her earlier...

Midori's face lit up. "Am I! I haven't had anything good tasting since the lockdown! Not even K1's cooking can make lockdown food taste good!"
Nanoha smiled. "Well, I know a good ice cream parlour nearby. Follow me!"

"...and then the demon picked Keisuke up, and.... and... waaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!" Midori sobbed through a large scoop of ice cream. The comfort food seemed to be helping somewhat, at least. Nanoha was patting the girl gently on the back.
"There, there, let it all out..." Nanoha said.

Chibi Moon had taken the chance to turn back into Chibiusa before the group left. She had only taken a few bites of her ice cream. She felt like she had been kicking a puppy for hours with how Midori was talking. How could she have been so mean? She felt like total dirt right now, and it caused the impossible of making her lose her appetite.
Several times she tried to open her mouth, but she couldn't think of anything good to say... she let out a small sigh and returned to staring at her ice cream. She really was a jerk.
(OOC: Emo Chibiusa is emo. >_>)

Midori continued sobbing about what had happened in the lockdown, but Nanoha noticed that Chibiusa hadn't said a thing the whole time.
"Are you alright?" Nanoha asked. "You've hardly touched your food."

Chibiusa nodded, "Just feeling like a jerk. Do.. erm, Midori-san? I'm sorry I was rude earlier. You can call me Chibiusa-chan if you want..."
She hoped it would be a step in the right direction.

Midori swallowed her latest bite. "No, it's okay... I was being a huge jerk too." She took another bite of ice cream. "I didn't think that you could be from the manga universe. I made fun of how you percieved your universe. And I made fun of Tuxedo Mask."
She dropped her spoon and rose to her feet. "And to make up for this, I'll buy all of the volumes of the Sailor Moon manga today!"
Nanoha smiled. "There you go!"

Chibiusa shook her head, "It's really no big. I'm a little stressed over not being able to contact Helios-kun, so I reacted badly."
It hurt to say that... but maybe if they both had something to be emo over, it would cancel it out? Mercury's mind would have tripped over that...

Chibiusa smiled. Looks like the hump had been gotten over, "So... you have any people from your world here?"
Despite being cold soup with a small lump in it now, Chibiusa had begun eating her ice cream for real.

Midori went back to eating her ice cream. "Yeah... his name's K1... he was the leader of our group back in Tokyo. He's kinda cute, but he's always thinking about other things. He's always so quiet too... And even when all of the electronics in Tokyo weren't working anymore, he still kept his headphones on his head."
